Re: What the Hell Has Happened to Call of Duty?

@RoomWithaMoose

The last COD I played was Black Ops Cold war, but gritty war seemed to be the general theme of COD.

Wacky fun is what I expect from Fortnite.

I see COD taking ideas from Fortnite, but not the other way round so we can tell who is doing better.

Re: Bungie Conducting 'Thorough Review' After Plagiarised Art Is Found in Marathon

dodgykebaab

@Greifchen Straight up lied? Did you even read the statment? Probably not, although it was posted on Crypto-sky so I can't blame you for that. Here it is again:

“We immediately investigated a concern regarding unauthorised use of artist decals in Marathon and confirmed that a former Bungie artist included these in a texture sheet that was ultimately used in-game.

“This issue was unknown by our existing art team, and we are still reviewing how this oversight occurred. We take matters like this very seriously. We have reached out to 4nt1r34l to discuss this issue and are committed to do right by the artist.

“As a matter of policy, we do not use the work of artists without their permission.

“To prevent similar issues in the future, we are conducting a thorough review of our in-game assets, specifically those done by the former Bungie artist, and implementing stricter checks to document all artist contributions.

“We value the creativity and dedication of all artists who contribute to our games, and we are committed to doing right by them. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.”

There is nothing in there that they didn't follow this person, in fact it's the opposit because they actually name to artist.

Re: Intergalactic PS5 Star 'Bootcamp-ing' with Neil Druckmann to Ignore the Haters

@LogicStrikesAgain

Well I think the sonic thing does stand.

I think people are not looking at these female video game characters and activly touching themselves up while they play!

I think they find certain designs unattractive, but really the word should be replusive (even though it sounds harsher). People are being asked to relate to characters they feel repulsed by and that's never going to fly.

The Sonic design was also repulsive. Again not in a sexual way, but in a way that conficted with the video game design they were used to.

@Oram77 I never said I'd give you any.

I think you are getting side tracked here over my point, so let me get you back on track.

I think people are not wrong to voice their opinion over how characters look in a medium where the user is expect to relate to said character.

Edit - I just thought of a movie releated theme that ties in here.

That first Sonic design in the movie. Do you think fans were wrong to call that out?

@themightyant I think your dismissal of peoples concerns is very tone deaf.

It's like you think anyone else's thoughts are not worthy compaired to your own.

Are you Trump?!

But for real, telling people that they are just ***** if they want attractive gaming charactors is not helpful.

I mean would you request ugly characters? If not why not?
If it doesn't matter, why bother with a character model at all? Why not just have a cube?

Yes I have added hyperbole to that, but that's to highlight how silly that argument is.
