You’d think Xbox have similar data, which is why it baffles me that so many 1st-party Xbox games aren’t supporting 60fps (at least initially): e.g. Redfall, Starfield, Hellblade 2, and now Avowed.

If WB Games sees all these comments about wanting it to be Live Service, they aren’t gonna realize it’s sarcasm, are they

I almost never buy games unless they’re on sale with a hefty discount. It seems insane to me that people pay more for a buggier version. The only exception so far this gen was buying Elden Ring at full price, and before that it was Dark Souls 3 (due to mostly peer pressure). Oh and never ever pre-order!

Looks great. But I’m confused as to why this isn’t Little Nightmares 3. It certainly looks the part.

Not a great month for me personally as I’ve already purchased Ender Lillies (but have yet to play it) and I’ve already played a bit of Lego Stars Wars on GamePass. Zero interest in FNaF

I think this article might be misleading. Everything I’ve read prior to this said that Bluepoint was working on an original game, not necessarily an original IP. Which leaves hope for it being Bloodborne 2. Though I’d also be happy with Demon Souls 2.

Wonder where Shadow of The Erdtree would have ranked if we could have voted for it. I don’t care if it’s just a DLC, it’s my GOTY!

After watching SkillUp’s glowing preview of Plucky Squire, that’s now up there (with AstroBot) for my most anticipated.

Playing Elden Ring DLC and loving it. I’m on NG+, level 200, and the difficulty feels pretty perfect to me. Beating most bosses after just a few tries. Not ashamed to use NPC summons and mimic tear though

I might have been interested in Borderlands 3, if I didn’t already have it, and gotten bored of it after less than 10 hours

My 5 are: AstroBot, Black Myth, Dragon Age, Enotria, Plucky Squire. Stars Wars Outlaws woulda been my 6th. I’m hoping Vampire Bloodlines 2 is good.

Wow that looks and sounds fantastic. The Dark Messiah influence is definitely strong!

I would love an animated show — along the lines of Netflix’s Castlevania or Blood of Zeus — that covers the backstory of the Shattering or maybe even before that. I’d love Ranni to be the main character. Or maybe about the Gloam Eyed Queen vs Marika?

Thank god games don’t cater to everyone. There are too many games to play as it is!

Eh no thanks… the market is overflowing with JRPG’s lately. And FromSoft is just way too good at action combat (be it souls-style or mechs).

I dunno. Been playing Hellblade 2 recently and I think it’s hopped right over the valley to legit photorealism.

That said, though Hellblade 2 is absolutely stunning graphically, I’m having way more fun playing Another Crab’s Treasure, despite it’s simplistic, cartoony graphics.

@tameshiyaku I have to agree with @DennisReynolds. FromSoft’s DLC are the best. But CDPR aren’t far behind. Both of them blow away most other games’ DLCs

I can’t believe Bloodborne’s Old Hunters DLC only got an 87. Not a bad average, but it’s probably my all time favorite DLC. But maybe ER: SotET will surpass it?

Good thing for the PS5 Metacritic score that Eurogamer reviewed the PC version, giving it only 60/100.

Miller was definitely being an *****. Despite everything, Avalanche’s game turned out to be pretty damn good! And Kojima is the most overrated game dev ever, whose worst flaw is never ending expository dialogue, which ironically, Miller claims to hate and thus avoids, having very little dialogue in his movies.

Glad to hear they’re adding the navigation guide. There were definitely a couple levels I got lost in for way too long.

@Enigk same experience for me too. Same issue with Hades & Deadcells. I think roguelikes just aren’t for me. Which is a shame because I like pretty much everything else about those 2 games.

Give us more Bloodborne and all will be forgiven!

@Ralizah unlike other series, catching up on RE is at least feasible thanks to the short length of each game. In the past year I played through the 5 latest RE games which took under 60 hours total (so less than a single JRPG). I loved all of them too!

Something is VERY wrong with Eve’s proportions in that artwork. Her lower half is like 3x bigger than it should be!

@tameshiyaku Agree that the Game of Thrones game was great. Probably the Telltale game I liked 2nd best after Wolf Among Us. Really sad they never continued/finished the GoT story in it.

I don’t usually anime/manga games, but this looks really fun, and the vehicle combat makes it seem like a fresh take on the open world formula. Will definitely pick this up at some point, when my backlog is a bit smaller.

This is great news. I’d love to try the COD Black Ops Cold War campaign since the game was added to PS+ essential a while back… but every time I remember that it requires 150 GB (minimum) install, I just say forget it!

I’m not usually into most survival crafting games, but this looks interesting and I’m a “sucker” for its vampire theme. Will definitely try it when it comes out on PS5.

@Reveluv curious as to why? I was the opposite: loved both Nioh games, but I bounced off Wo Long. I think it was the emphasis on parrying in the combat. Maybe I should give it another chance?

@ArcadeHeroes Mario Kart 8 was (maybe still is?) onsale last week, which is a rare occurrence.

Just finished Remake last night. Liked parts, but it has horrible pacing issues (and I don’t mean the side quests). The cutscenes, & high frequency that the games takes control away, and how slow everyone walks & talks even during an emergency. Dunkey’s video review was spot on. Are those issues any better in Rebirth?

The pacing issues mentioned here worry me. I’m playing Remake now, and often get annoyed by the plodding, slow pace.

Now I just hope the FPS is high enough for VRR.

I’ve always found CoD’s linear shooting-gallery SP campaigns boring, so personally, I’m hopeful about this new style of campaign.

Not a great month for me personally. I played Rollerdrome on GamePass and it was quite fun. I already own Steel Rising on PS5, and it is a really solid souls-like (not too far behind Lies of P). Not interested in FoamStars, but still wouldn’t consider it a “crap month” for most people.

As someone with an existing mountain of PS4 games, I really like the idea of a portable PS4, rather than something with a separate library (like the Vita)
