Re: The New PlayStation 4's Already Out in Japan

benrawr

Everybody says the PS4 isn't selling well in Japan, but to be fair the Xbox One sold 100 consoles in the same week... Makes the 10,000 PS4s seem a bit less disappointing.
100:1 seems like an optimistic ratio to me!

Re: There Will Be a PS4 Slim, But This Isn't Proof of It

I sincerely hope this is true - Software preferably - as I've just bought a 50" 4K TV and discovered how little content there actually is to support it considering how long the format has been in production!
It really HAS to be a software update though, as that would immediately put around 25 million 4K capable devices in homes... Plus I don't want to buy a new PS4!
(25 million = Xbones and PSphwoars)

Re: Game of the Month: March 2014 - inFAMOUS: Second Son

I've been spurred on by the positivity of Dark Souls 2 to re-attempt Demon's Souls, a game that previously denied me progress through the first level...
Through some combination of extra patience, generally being better at games, and... Maybe... Spamming the duplicate item cheat on the first demon's soul so that I was level 115 after 7 hours, I'm almost finished.
Dark Souls, here I come!

Re: Review: Awesomenauts Assemble! (PlayStation 4)

I loved playing the PS3 version. After they broke their promise of the inclusion of more content and characters, and then refuse to make this free for those who bought it already... I'm sore to the point of never buying it

Re: You'll Be Able to Turn the PS4 Controller's Light Bar Off Soon

@AD-80 I'm aware that the battery life is miserable when compared to the simply ridiculous DS3, but I'm just saying that it's through no fault of a simple LED array. Dimming the lightbar will give no more than 3% battery life, I guarantee it. Most LEDs won't even use a single watt of power

Re: You'll Be Able to Turn the PS4 Controller's Light Bar Off Soon

I really don't see why everybody lost their **** over it in the first place. It's simply another tool that developers, so far have practically ridiculed it with their hopeless uses (Thanks, Killzone!), are able to use in interesting ways. It's really not that bright, unless you play in the dark, and it simply does not use any battery power. Recharging an LED bulb via the mains is exactly like filling a bath tub with a firehose and draining it by putting a pin hole through the bottom

Re: This Is Why You Should Play Watch Dogs on PS4

Bearing in mind that this in an open world, it does look pretty swanky and no longer deserves the criticism.
I was going to poke at how the added battery slot would make it easier, but as found with Knack becoming FAR more bearable when you have loads of supermoves that can clear out the majority of the barren levels, it will simply make it more fun! Allowing you a little extra freedom with the tools the game is based around certainly can't hurt!

Re: Why Isn't User Generated Content Supported in inFAMOUS: Second Son?

benrawr

After playing the demo in London I get the impression anything they create will be pure gold. Even with the "tail the van" mission (which Mr Potter failed to complete after about 7 attempts) being present it just seems like everything is really polished and thought out. I doubt I'll miss a single bit of DLC for this!

Re: Sorry, You Won't be Getting an InFAMOUS: Second Son Demo on PS4

I was at the Infamous Second Son Live event in London last night and two good and bad missions were exactly what was on offer.
I can report: It looks BLOOMIN' BEAUTIFUL, the gameplay is really fluid, traversing the world is much faster (thanks to neon), and thankfully this time around the moral decisions actually make a huge difference to the following gameplay and acting/cutscenes
