It could also be due to digital sales really since I have seen the Generation Pack on eshop’s best sellers list (on both Japan and US eshop) and they’re like right at the top.

And most probably not because even in the UK sales chart, the Generation Pack was number 2 on the list while Requiem standalone was number 1. So the Generation Pack is most likely counted separately.

Also I live in the US and the Generation Pack is on the eshop’s best sellers (number 2 actually) while Requiem standalone is number 3. So yeah, it’s selling well alright on Switch 2

@cainhurst94 it’s not shocking. The PS5 was in the market in Japan way longer than the Switch 2.

Not only that, but people Pokopia came out around the same time, so a lot of people way want to buy that.

Also it seems that the Generation Pack isn’t counted with this and a lot of people see to buy that.

Resident Evil will probably sell more on PS but it will do just fine on Switch 2. The RE ports on Switch 1 sold well.

@Darylb88 GTA 6 won't be coming to PC for a good long while.

As for Switch 2, we don't know for sure. It is likely GTA 6 will be delayed again but again we don't know for sure. But I do remember a rumor that did suggest Rockstar is TESTING a version of GTA 6 on Switch 2 but whether that will come to fruition or not remains to be seen.

@johnedwin Considering the game ran like crap on base PS5, I don't have much hopes for it.

And I believe vast majority of gamers play the average gun and ball games (COD, Madden, NBA 2K, GTA and EA FC) and all of those are on PS5, so they’ll obviously pick the PS5 than the Switch 2 as well because it is also on sale.

There are still more people playing on Switch 1 than Switch 2. Some people couldn’t afford a Switch 2 at this time and still have a Switch 1 so they buy the Switch 1 version rather than the Switch 2 version.

Also as someone else mentioned here, when the Switch 1 first came out in 2017, during November the PS4 also beat the Switch 1 in terms of sales during the holiday season due to it being marked down in price. Same thing happened with Switch 2.

And Metroid isn’t a big seller even in the US.

@KawakiisaFraud Nintendo raised their Switch 2 forecast sales from 15 million to 19 million since the console sold over 10 million units iirc. This is for the fiscal year of March 2026. So if anything, those numbers aren’t a disaster and not a disaster for Nintendo.

DK, Kirby, and Metroid are relatively a bit niche IPs compared to say… Mario and Zelda.

Also Pokémon ZA and Metroid Prime 4 also launched on Switch 1. You seem to have left that detail out

The Fatal Frame 2 remake update was nice but thats it for me though. And that Wandering Sword RPG thing looks good.

@Juanalf I think most know it isn’t gonna be as powerful as a PS5 or a Series X. However their main issue is comparing to PS4 repeatedly when like some of the games they compared didn’t exactly make much sense. Like they compared the original PS4 version of FF7 remake to Switch 2 version of Integrade, that doesn’t make sense because the original PS4 version isnt Intergrade but the PS5 version is. So why not compare the PS5 version of the same game? Why compare to the PS4 version which is different from the PS5 version (which the Switch 2 version is based off on).

Also I believe some games (mainly Street Fighter 6) apparently look a bit more better on a Switch 2 than on a Series S. Maybe comparing Switch 2 to a Series S might be a better or more interesting comparison.
