I say PS5 announced this year and releasing in March. Word is it was planned for 2019 releaze but system level is not ready. Plus its gonna sell out at launch anyway so let the fand eat it up as they can refine supply chain for the hokidays and focus on software for holiday 2020. And I think either death stranding or last of us 2 are coming this fall as both have started localization.

Guys a sequel is not happening. They confirmed this awhile back.

@Flaming_Kaiser thats understandable the first or second delay but a fifth delay means there are serious issues going on. There seems to be a lot of management problems.

Man Level 5 is having a rough time. This is the 5th delay. NNK2 disappointed had a tough dev cycle and their mobile efforts were a bust. It seems the move to HD and multiplatform have brought the team to their knees.

Eh not impressed. Not fond of the suit collection and how sable is acting based on what happens in the main game.

I understand what they are saying but I am not getting why it can't be included. Their publisher owns the damn design. My guess is Marvel is being petty about which movie suits can be put in.

A bit overblown but i do agree. I understand they are working on a new console but that hasn’t stopped them before. Man PSX 2017 really spooked them.

if true they’ll probably upload a prerecord video for updates on the big 3.

while i’m no fallout fan i can see why some fans against the title are well against it. It looks really empty. no npcs, no towns, no world changing decisions. that’s all a huge part of what makes fallout fallout

I agree. I don’t mind Sony putting SP upfront but they should still make MP games. It’s their job as a platform holder to do so. I think that Twisted Metal could work for Batte Royale type game on PS5.

You obviously didn't read the press release. Sony said themselves they'd have other stuff. Idk why you are thinking it. Have any of the big three EVER gone to E3 without at least one new game announcement regardless of who is making it? nobody comes to E3 empty handed.

That next gen smoke is really starting to appear. Kodera comments, Phil mentioning next box yesterday, a few games like Starfield and Cyberpunk being 2020 or later. Those times are coming.

@Turismo4GT I'd be down for a $350 Pro Slim. However idk if it's possible without a revamped cooling system. And tbh I don't think the mass market really cares about the pro anyway.

Before anyone starts keep in mind this does not mean PS5 isn’t releasing until March 2021. This is them simply saying PS4 will still be supported. PS5 is very likely gonna be out before Christmas 2020 and like PS3 to PS4 it’s first couple years on the market will probably be crossgen heavy.

Besides you don’t have to upgrade right away. Your PS4 will still work and still be supported. Like PS3 to PS4 the first 2 years will be cross gen heavy. God of War sequel and Horizon sequel are gonna melt eyes on PS5.

Probably late 2020 but if it’s $400 and has bc maybe a soft launch in late 2019 or early 2020.

I remember when this game was targeting 2017. we all knew that was never realistic. 2019 is for the best and Sega/Deep Silver/Sony would probably prefer we play the remasters first.

Sony doesn’t do hardware reveals at e3 anymore anyway.

As long as it’s fair and beatable. Will wait for impressions first.

@get2sammyb yeah profit from ps4 sales, game sales and paid subs like ps plus should be able to makeup for it. They probably want to hit $400 again so yeah they will probably have to.

@NathanUC well assuming a Q4 2020 launch Horizon 2 should be ready for that.

Yeah Q4 2020 looks most likely. The tech will be ready next year but it’s proabbly simply going to be too expensive at the time. 2020 will let them get the cost down a little and give first party more time to prep software.

@get2sammyb I can definitely see a Pro Slim next year with 4k blu ray and 7nm APU. About the size of an OG PS4. Maybe a digital only PS4 Super Slim.

To be fair if the architecture isn’t gonna change much than third parties probably don’t need kits yet. But yeah I’m fine with 2020, let Sony refine the target hardware while lowering cost and allow their studios more time to prep games.

I personally think at least the initial plan say pre-2017 was 2019. And could still be 2019 but could be 2020. The final internal spec is probably locked down so hardware will probably be ready for next year but I can see Sony waiting until 2020 to refine the hardware while getting the cost down and to give their studios more time to get games ready.

It’s not sonys job either. Their job is to market them game so they have to show new footage.

A little later than preferred but oh well. It’ll be a great early birthday present.
