Legends is a game that won't work with a closed community, period.
They won't damage the already estabilished community because of Sony's decisions, that's it, there's nothing like "Bethesda is trying to pressure Sony" or anything like that. Jesus Christ, and the PlayStation community nowadays is way worse than Nintendo's, they're both looking like religions. This game is going to flop very hard, it lost most of the already little fanbase to try to appeal to a broader and more casual public but the casual public never cared about niche games, they just want more god of war, uncharted and CoD, nothing else matters.

And with soul Calibur 6 better than ever and Tekken kicking asses out there, DoA without their old fans is just a niche 3D fighter that's going to drown.

@Paranoimia there's more reasons, the game has tournaments and the ladder can't be separated, the tournaments are more important than having some more players that play exclusively on ps4.

And again, Bethesda is not trying to be a revolutionary leader the journos are making out to be, they just won't damage their community over Sony's decision, it's not a Bethesda vs Sony.

@leucocyte In this case it's a card game, it doesn't have any difference in any platform. When I play on my Android, I'm playing the exact same game with no disavantage over someone playing with me on a pc.

Horizon zero down is the sole representative of what I don't like about PlayStation today and I feel bad just to have Aloy as a finalist.

@Ps4_all_the_way this is not entirely true, nowadays companies usually creates necessities for consumers, in truth, they've been doing this since the invention of cigarettes or even before.

I've been talking about this for years, I'm a huge fan of futurism, and services are the way to go for everything that is possible, it makes way more accessible to everyone and makes more sense.
Looking to our music today it's easy to get a glimpse.
We pay for a subscription that gives us access to millions of albums, before we had to buy a CD with 14 songs for a price way higher than a subscription fee.
Movies followed the same path and it won't be long for games to follow too.

The biggest barrier are people notions of property, and I know that this is delicate but it's something that needs to be further discussed by everyone, not only a tiny niche.

People nowadays are so used to trade smartphones every year, and there's so much newcomers in game industry, that they're starting to think that videogames are as disposable as smartphones.

PS5 will not come this year, there's not a reason to and Sony didn't even made all the money they can with the PS4 yet, there's much to do, I don't even believe that devs explored all the console have to offer.

2020 is more acceptable as a date of announcement with a release in the end of 2020 or in 2021.

An example would be their refusal to allow cross plataform play in many games when even Nintendo is allowing.

Sony is in a high position right now and they are showing their true colors.

Not all games have to be realistic, games are games and all games have rules.

No action game will give you full control over your entire team to do exactly what you want at all times.

No AI is capable of acting with the in-depth perception and rational thinking of a human, so again, I like to take full control of my team in an RPG and I like to build strategies with their builds.

Games like, Dragons Dogma, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy XV and others try to cover this lack of control with an AI that is dumber as it gets and just spoil the game in favor of a simpler smashing buttons gameplay.

That said, I don't hate action games, I just think that some times I want to just smash buttons and see my characters doing cool moves, but sometimes I like to think like in a board game.
Turn based games offer a different experience, not a inferior one.

@BAMozzy This is exactly the mentality that are completely destroying Final Fantasy, they are starting to do action games and people who genuinely like to play the turn based games are starting to drop the series.

Tabletop RPGs are turn based and people love them, I know I do.

Turn based are a genre to people who like to think over smash buttons, people who want to control a team without having to delegate the job to an stupid AI.
I really love to build a fully customized team and control all of them in a battle.

So, maybe it started because of some technical incapabilities wich I don't believe it's true, but it's a interesting genre, just like trash movies that started because they didn't have the means to do scary things and now it's a established genre with lots of fans.

@PS_Nation 100% Agreed, and more, I'll probably not be in the next Sony generation, the way the handled the Vita was like punch me in the face, I'm still with ps3 and Vita and thinking about not buying the ps4, instead I'll buy a switch because Nintendo cares for their customers.

First they raised the ps plus price, now they reduced the games they give.
It'll continue to be like now, mostly games with one or two months giving good games per year.
They just raised their revenue, that's all and everyone will keep giving them the money, since almost all games now are online and you need plus to be online.

The trailer was perfectly fine because the game is about violence in a world without any rules.

They say it's optional, but the game is made around the microtrasactions, everything is made to "encourage" people to buy, and by "encourage" i mean that the game is purposely unbalanced to make you buy what they are selling.
You gotta be totally naive to think that a multi million company will be playing to lose.

@Lonejester there's always the option of a subscription fee, like WOW, WOW have been running for so much time and has a high quality standard for the balance of the game. And this is because they know how much they have to spend on the game, because is a fixed amount of money for player.

Don't know why people think that paying for a monthly subscription is something bad, when is the better option out there.
