Re: Nomura Promises Death Won't be Cheated in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

SweetSummerShunv

@LifeGirl Sorry for necro'ing but I came back to this after diving into all kinds of crazy fan theories of FF7 Rebirth's ending, and I now conclude that what Nomura's saying here most likely refers to how SPOILER ALERT

Biggs had died in Zack's Terrier reality, than what's presumed to have happened to Aerith. Nomura's playing an emotional sleight of hand here and I must say, he's done it well.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Blocked in Kuwait, Activision Refunds Preorders

@NEStalgia I get a feeling that the game will offer some unfavourable revelations against the Kuwaiti side too which won't sit well with them, and these can include lateral drilling into Iraqi oilfields and atrocity propaganda claiming Iraqi soldiers having chugged out babies from incubators. Much like the 'poor little Belgium' and today's Ukraine, the Kuwaiti side wasn't all innocent either.

Re: Reaction: You Said You Were Sick of PS5's Sad Dad Sims, So You Better Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is

I actually agree with this article. For the past five years it just suddenly became popular to bash Sony's first party games for no apparent good reason even though there's a valid critique towards the exclusive focus on third person action adventure, but I cannot but to feel like that Sony's 1st Party games became the kind of convenient punching bags for a breed of gamers to show their edgy tastes in the ways the CoD and sports games were.

Re: God of War Creator Says Kratos Has Lost His Way

I have my own critiques of the post-2018 evolution of the franchise, most notably in the TLOUization of certain gameplay segments, but to say that it's 'lost its way' is just absurd and he sounds like he's just struggling for relevance after last making a great game some two decades ago.

Re: Feature: Celebrating 10 Years of PS4 with Our Favourite Games

SweetSummerShunv

PS4 (and the XB1) were meh hardware wise, but as far as games go I'd say that the 8th gen in general and the PS4's library in particular were rather over-maligned. Not exactly spectacular but it's still a memorable generation. I just hope that PS5's late game (puns totally intended) will be as strong, if not stronger than, the start of this generation.

Re: Here's Your First Real Look at the Return of Fatal Fury

God here we go with all the sanctimony about dIcTaToRs who apparently own the game companies again. All I care is that the game at the end is a good one and brings me back memories from when I was very little and being taken to arcades by my elder cousins. Most Western AAA game companies have ties to the most warmongering entity on Earth the US MIC too yet I don't think we'll be hearing calls to boycott CoD anytime soon.

Re: No, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Is Definitely Not Releasing on PS4

SweetSummerShunv

@Savage_Joe Sorry but if you have troubles saving up 500 bucks over the course of a console generation and more then frankly you should worry about other things in your life than modern core gaming. Gaming is a luxury hobby and should take low priority. I had to ditch gaming a few times in my life when my finances were tight.

Re: Reaction: Solid Xbox Showcase Should Give Sony Some Incentive to Stop Being So Damn Cloak and Daggers About PS5, PS4

SweetSummerShunv

@practicein2021 Lol just because I put it in my bio doesn't mean that I'm gonna be discussing that here unless there's an article that's actually relevant, but in summary we have a wide variety of them so there's no central definition for that one. Anyways relevant to the article itself, I hope that Sony pulls a ninth gen equivalent of E3 2016 asap, as I do still want to see my PS5 getting some action down the road once I finish my backlog.

Re: Final Fantasy 16 Was Planned for PS5 and PS4, But the Last-Gen Version Would Have Taken Too Long

SweetSummerShunv

@Ashina Tbf since the stock situation's improved now and that the prices have returned to normal, and if you still can't afford to buy a current gen system in the third year of the generation, you probably have other matters in your life that need working on if you can't afford to save 500 bucks over an entire console generation and more.

Back to the topic, I think this is a very wise move and unless your game's not visuals-heavy, you shouldn't worry much about legacy systems from now on.

Re: The Last of Us on PC Attracts 'Mostly Negative' Reviews for Crashes, Poor Performance

SweetSummerShunv

@Orpheus79V Other than putting all the parts together initially, I've not had any 'extra fuss' that actually got on my nerves on my PC. 99% of the time the games pick the best settings for you and moving a few sliders on top of that never took me more than a minute, the vast performance and visual boost, the freedom of using any controllers etc more than make up for the few additional seconds I spent on these 'extra fuss'.
