@daveofduncan that literally makes no sense. Besides ratchet, which is the game I’m referencing, and demon souls which I have no interest in, I would love to know the “plenty” of ps5 exclusives that I’m missing out on… in fact the only other one I could even name is returnal. So nice try.

They need to stop “remaking” games for newer gens that are just an up-res of PS3/PS4 games. What was once my favorite studio of Sony is quickly becoming my least favorite. A new IP that’s just a fun game and not trying to be an SJW adventure would be great.

@Integrity this is no offense meant, but I don’t understand why anyone wants a remake when it’s already an hd title on PS4. I would much rather them make something new. I don’t think games that are already in HD need remakes. Just up resing works fine.

Already have ones off Amazon that look identical and were $30. They should have done this and launch.

Sony: we are making more money off our games than ever before. Last of us 2 made its money back the day it launched.

Starting with MGS3 is kind of dumb. 1 is in the most need of a makeover. Exciting nonetheless.

@deathaxe I think people will speak with their wallets as made clear on all these comments. People are just going to wait until the price goes down, so the companies can potentially lose more money this way. I totally agree with the article, games should be priced accordingly, not just a random uniform number across the board.

The $70 price point is BS. And anyone yelling about inflation doesn’t have a good argument. Games make more money than they ever have before. So saying games cost more to make isn’t the most valid of arguments because the most expensive games usually sell the most. Look at the insane budgets on games like red dead 2, cyberpunk, last of us 2. Crazy amounts of money spent, but they make it back literally on release day. Not saying this is always the case, but games sell way more than they used to, so not keeping it the $60 price point is just greed.

@Orpheus79V I think it’s a huge loss. Majority of the time I don’t even save my game anymore manually, and can fire it up at literally any spot in the game. This is disappointing.

It would make sense. Almost 4 years since their last name, and it’s just a rebuild of an existing game. Should totally be done by now.

Why can’t articles just be titled something like “secret character found in new THPS” instead of spoiling what would have been a cool Easter egg...

It’s crazy how we have all these massive backlogs. As a kid this was not even close to a thing. You got a game, and then played the hell out of it over and over until the next holiday/birthday hahah.

@SonuvLiberty totally agree. You become so dependent on it, it takes away the incentive to explore. I’m really glad ff7 remake allows you to turn off the map and markers, it reminds me of the original where waypoints wasn’t a thing. Makes you earn it!

Code Veronica! 4 is so overrated, so that’s most likely the reason we will get it next. After that everything is already in HD so no reason to do any others I would think. I would hope for CV because it’s the last RE game that used the style that made it so famous and loved.

@bighal no disrespect but I don’t understand why people want this. Demons souls is already in HD format. I would so much rather that time be spent on remaking a ps2 game since those aren’t from an hd gen. I just feel like Bluepoint could do better things, if it’s true that’s what they are making. And it has nothing to do with being a fan of the series either. I’m a huge metal gear fan, and when I heard they might be remaking mgs4, I thought the exact same thing, waste of time. Go back and redo mgs1 if anything.

Agreed. This is a no brainer that’s its needed over here.

My tv might not have the best HDR, but I have tested it with 3 games on this list. God of war I could see a difference, but Uncharted 4 I literally couldn’t tell if it was on or off. Again, might just be my tv, but would love to see some screenshots of it on and off on the same screen for comparison on some higher end TVs.

@nessisonett I don’t think it’s necessarily about the consumers wanting it faster, as it is with the company, in this case Sony. Sony can’t just keep paying out naughty dog for ten years to make a game, and expect to make a profit back. That’s really what it’s about.
