For sure. Arkane Austin was given the Prey lincense and even though it was not the sequel reveal trailer from all those years ago, they still made an awesome singleplayer sandbox game.
Wich is something both Arkane Lyon and Austin are known for.
It is what they do best. Nothing against a team trying something new and different, but being forced to work on a project that more than 50% of the team disagrees?
Clearly there is very poor managment at Xbox game division.
Hopefully things will turn around in a more positive note.

This are some really bad news. For gamers, developers and Xbox in general.
I can understand Arkane Austin to a certain degree, because one bad game, does not make the whole studio bad. They made Prey. And it´s awesome.
And then there´s Tango..... I mean REALLY? Their one and only japanese developer? Who has some pretty good games under their belt, some that could/should probably get sequels?
What a tremendous disapointing decision by the Xbox game division administration.
Hopefully, the developers that will unfortunately be laid off by this, will find either other studios to work with or start a brand new studio and continue to do their passion.

Yes, I´m playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and yes I played Remake as well.
On a break for some food and checking news before going back and continue to play.
The game is very good. And they made the combat much more apealing, reactive and responsive. Exactly what I wanted.
It´s a good thing myself and a few others, like my friends @Shepherd_Tallon and @Bentleyma booked some days to play this.
The game is BIG and there is a lot to do. And fun too. Very fun.
You can just keep exploring the way you see fit.
I already know I´ll be spending more than 100 hours for sure.

In my case, there are very few games that gets me that much excited to play not just day one, but day two, three and four if possible.
And Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Rise of The Ronin and Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree are some of them.
There is just not enough time to play so many awesome games.

I voted none of them, because I also have a Series X and Gamepass, so there is that.
But like @themightyant mentioned, I am also kinda torn, since
Hi-Fi Rush was one of the best games that came out last year and the best Xbox game of last year, in my opinion, and I wouldn´t mind purchasing the game for my PS5 or my Switch for that matter, and thus owning it, but I can also do just that on my Series X.
I do want to support these kind of games because we have been lacking these different types of experiences from the big developers.
As for the future, I think we will see more Xbox games coming to other platforms. Not today and not the really big ones like Halo or Forza, but it will happen.

To this day, in any game that allows me to drive a taxi all I hear in my head is "All I Want" from The Offspring.
Hearing one of my favourite bands while playing Crazy Taxi was pure bliss back in the day.
This means two things: one, were getting old and two we still have great taste in music 😉
The game looks pretty nice. Too bad there are so many games already in the first three months.

• Rise of The Ronin;

  Not entirely sure if I´m gonna get all of them day one (going to depend on some store deals in my Country), but will eventualy.
  What a great and somewhat expensive start of a year this is.

Sekiro is great. When the combat mechanics really start to connect with you, with perfect deflections and mikiri counter it feels so good pulling those of that it never gets old.
It also has very fun traversal as well.
And Castlevania will always be one of the most addicting and fun franchise to play. Harmony of Dissonance is another interesting example of that.
Too bad Lords of Shadow didn´t get much love.
Konami needs to get the IPs rights to another developer.....
Formsoftware or Santa Monica Studio. A guy can dream.

Star Ocean Second Story is one of the best rpgs from the golden era of classic PSone rpgs.
There were so many of them like Azure Dreams, Legend of Mana, Saga Frontier 2, Front Mission 3, Alundra, Crono Cross, FFVII, VIII and IX, Suikoden 2, Breath of Fire III and IV, Legend of Dragoon(give us a remake Sony) and the list goes on and on.
No wonder people want to see these games to come back in any shape or form, they were and still are amazing games.
One can only hope to see more get the same treatment.

@Mikey856 @Smiffy01 I know that Smuglers Run was one of PS2 launch games. But mine were Tekken Tag Tournament, Zone of the Enders and Shadow of memories (anyboby remenbers that game? It was great).
But yeah, both Midnight Club LA and DriveClub were gems of racing games back in the day.
I actualy have DriveClub installed on my PS4 and PS5(only because I got a 2Tb SSD). And yes, the weather effects still impress to this day. Fun fact, CD Projeckt Red made The Witcher 3 weather effects based on DriveClub.
I also have to mention how crazy it is that you can play retro games like Daytona USA and Fighting Vipers on a modern Sega game like the Yakuza franchise? Kinda strange, but very cool.
And as for the deviation from the topic of the thread, well, it happens 😜

I never played Smuglers Run, Blur or Split Second, but the MotorStorm series?
All of them. One of my favourite Evolution Studios franchise alongside DriveClub. Those games were so much fun.
Midnight Club was also very enjoyable.
Such a shame Evolution Studios no loger exits.
Sony needs to get some new talent to revive those franchises.
And many others wich are dormant. Maybe one day.

This weekend I´ll will be mostly playing Starfield on my Series X and Street Fighter 6 on my PS5, since I´ll be leaving town for a week.
Wich means I´ll be all over my Switch and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
And once I return it will be MORTAL KOMBAT 1 (Cue the techno music MK theme).
Still need to check Sea of Stars and Baldurs Gate 3.
What a time to be a gamer. It´s almost to much. Almost.

My friend, that is exactely the reason why I hold this game in such a high regard.
That and the amazing visuals, animations, motion capture and voice acting and last, but not least, the fantastic gameplay that is top notch in my opinion.

After finishing Final Fantasy XVI on PS5, I´ve been on a Xbox Series X craze and have played and finished a bunch of games available on Gamepass and some that I´ve purchased on sale.
And as of this weekend I´m still very much enjoying one of my favourite racing games of all time, Forza Horizon 5.
Other than that, I´ll be playing Street Fighter 6 on my PS5 and more Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on my Switch.
All that while I´m eagerly anticipating for Starfield to be available on Gamepass September 6th. Just a few more days.

This was one of the trailers I was very excited to see and not only the art style looks good (even though it needs some polishing), but we got to hear some of the characters and think I herad my boy Ryo/Mr Karate and maybe even Yuri..... Was was it Hotaru?
Anyway, really looking forward to see more of this game.
Still can´t belive a sequel to Garou, one of my played Dreamcast games and one of the best SNK games to date is actually real.
Amazing times to be a fighting game fan.

Hi there fellow gamers. Guilty Gear Strive is still my most played fighting game on my PS5. Heck I even play the game on my Series X because of Game Pass.
It is true that Street Fighter 6 has taken the spotlight and it deserves, it is an amazing fighting game. And there are quite a few FGs coming around like MK1, Tekken8 and GBFVR wich I played the open beta and really enjoyed it.
But I am quite optimistic for GGS Season 3.
Not only I hope they improve some characters, like my main Chipp, but also dlc characters like Slayer, Jam and maybe some new or guest characters, wich would be a first.
This years EVO is going to be very interesting.

It was the Castlevania franchise that made me fall in love with MetroidVania type games. Been playing many ever since.
I still remember playing Metal Gear Solid on my PSone (another amazing franchise by the way) and when I heard Psycho Mantis, not only saying that I enjoy rpgs, but even sayin that I enjoy SOTK!!!!
I was in complete shock when it happened.
The memory card reading trick was just another genious idea from Kojima-san. No wonder I love MGS so much.
Konami used to be great though.... Oh well....

I only have like 12 hours and it´s already an absolute blast to play.

@DETfaninATL yeah, I´m down for some fun co-op shooting.
I have played Mortal Shell when it first came out on PC and then on my Series X when it came on Gamepass.
I did like both the Shell and Harden mechanics.
It is kinda short though.
But the dlc improved the game´s replayability for sure.
Still undecided if I´m getting this game on PC or PS5, but I´m definitely getting it.

Have to agree with you. The first Remnant was such a pleseant surprise, that I played it four times on my PC, three of them in co-op with the latest dlc included.
Had a lot of fun with it both solo play and with friends.
And just like my man @playstation1995 mentioned, this game and Ni-Oh are two of the best souls-like, challenging games out there.
So many great games this year, it´s kinda insane.

I´m also a Ken main player and I have Luke as my secondary.
Still trying different characters like Dee Jay and Marisa though.
And just like you and @Justaperson mentioned, I have also encountered many Modern players and they Drive Impact and anti-air you like it´s nothing.
Oh and I finally fought a Dhalsim player and he was as nuts and unpredictable as I thought he was going to be.
And how obnoxius JP comand grab and gound attacks are?
But still, I´m having a lot of fun playing a good SF game.....

Those two are my kind of games.
They always Run is a game that completely caught me by surprise by how good it is. Great atmosphere also.
Same thing with Dex, even though Dex is more narrative driven, wich is good. kinda like Deus Ex, wich I´m also a fan of.
I´m a sucker for metroidVania style games as well as sci-fi and Cyberpunk style.
Played both on PC and absolutely recommend them both.
As for Death Stranding, just play it when you feel like it.

Jedi Survivor is exactly what a sequel should be like..... Minus the performance issues.
I´m playing on Jedi Grand Master so it is pretty difficult in some battles.
Like, I have no idea how am I going to defeat two Rancors and two Ogdo Bogdo from two different Tears.....
But yeah, the gameplay is very good, love the mobility and the different lightsaber stances you get.
The new map could be better, but you can fast travel now.
Oh, and the Confused Jedi mind trick is a must when you face multiple opponents.
I think I´m close to the end now.
Don´t actualy want it to end though.....

That is pretty much the game in a nutshell.
The hole idea is to increase your social ranking and getting new upgrades, such as vehicles, weapons and armour.
I for one got very addicted to carry goods all around, getting a high score, getting more materials and build a bunch of things to help improve the community.
That was also a big thing, everyone would create and build stuff to help other Porters.
One of the best uses of integrated online in a singleplayer game.
That being said, the gamellop might not be for everyone.
Hope it eventualy clicks with you. At least for the story, wich is absolutely bonkers..... It is a Kojima game after all 😜

With Street Fighter 6 on June, Mortal Kombat 1 on September and Tekken 8 on the horizon.
Now for a proper gameplay trailer...... Maybe on the Playstation showcase next week orr the Xbox showcase next month or even the Summer Game Fest perhaps??? Hopefuly in one of these three events.

This weekend I´ll be playing more of the great (even with tech issues) Jedi Survivor on my PS5. I love how much improved it is from Fallen Order.
I´ll also be playing more Forza Horizon 5 on my Series X. That game is just fun.
Oh, and a little game called The Legend of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom on my Switch. As soon as I started playing, I had the almost exact feeling and tought in my head, that this is going to be a really good game that will last me for months, if not years, just like it was with Breath Of The Wild.
It´s games like the ones that I mention that makes me so glad to be a gamer. I love this medium so much.

Played and Platinum Jedi Fallen Order on my PS5 and I´m currently playing and enjoying Jedi Survivor on my PS5 as well with the intention to get the Platinum .
To bad there are some performance issues, especially in the more open areas of the game. Games should be way more optimized at launch. Still going to play it though.

This weekend I´ll be playing Jedi Survivor on my PS5.
Loving it so far even though there are some performance issues in the more open areas of the game.
And I´ll also be playing the KOFXV open cross play beta and Forza Horizon 5 on my Series X.
It´s been great coming back to FH5, doing some exploration and some races. And as for KOFXV I´m just hoping they can finally fix the matchmaking problems on all platforms.

I´m a huge Resident Evil fan ever since RE2 on PSone, so....
Yes, I´m currently playing Resident Evil 4 Remake on my PS5.
And yes, I played the original multiple times. 8 times to be exact.
Four on my Gamecube, two on my PS2 and Two more times on my Nintendo Wii, wich was my personal favourite version of the game. Using the Wiimote to point and shoot the Ganados in the head was so much fun back in the day.
As for the Remake..... It´s everything I hoped for. I´m playing on Hardcore and I´m having a blast.
One of the best games ever made, just got better. Love to see it.

Man, Capcom is nailing pretty much everything with this game.
It feels like the good old Capcom days when they seem to care.
As a Street Fighter fan since SF2 WW on the Amiga PC
(yeah, I´m old lol), I can´t wait for SF6 and see what this new blood can do to revitalise this beloved franchise.

After finishing Halo Infinte´s campaign, and really enjoyed it, I was still craving some FPS action and decided to finally play DOOM Eternal and it is as fun as the previous one.
But then I remember this weekend is the Guilty Gear Strive cross play beta, wich means is GGS weekend on my Series X!
I´m having a blast playing with one of my mains Ky Kiske.
