Uncharted 2 was the most fun of all. It's an adventure all over the world, it has funny and cheesy moments with some tense moments too.
Uncharted 4 is great, but it's a bit too serious and dark. Also not having any fantastical elements is huge negative in my opinion. Uncharted 4 felt like they were ashamed of how cheesy the previous games were.
@Rich33 It's a fair point you make, my only pushback is that Sony is showing increasingly greedy practices and they've made the same mistake with the PS3 at release. Some execs have short term memory, hopefully it won't be the case with Sony.
It's not my kind of game. I really don't like games that have almost no gameplay. But at the same time I see no reason to hate it just because I don't like it.
@Rich33 So you're in favor of Sony reducing their costs. You know they'll only use that to increase their profits and the cost reduction won't be translated into a cheaper console price?
"You'll own nothing and be happy". The WEF got to you.
@MasterChiefWiggum I wholeheartedly agree. Even though they're not the studio they once were, the magic is still there. Their games have fast paced satisfying shooting. Destiny 2 has very fast flow but the weapons also have weight. You can see the Halo DNA is still there.
@MasterChiefWiggum I agree, but I think the studio has been cut down to such a small number of people that Sony might shut their doors before they're able to release anything new.
If Bungie had focused on Destiny 3 instead of chasing the dying extraction shooter trend, fixing many of Destiny 2’s issues and making the game people actually wanted, this conversation would’ve been very different.
Remember when it was popular to bash souls like games? Open World games are the new target.
These massive open world games are few and far between and the market has enough space for several types of games to coexist. Don't like it? Don't play it.
I want to play it but I have other priorities. No way in hell I'm paying £70 for this game. I'll wait until it's on sale.
I think the high price mark is only going to be successful for established AAA franchises, smaller games like Saros are going to struggle when you have games like Crimson Desert for £50. Not saying one is better than the other, but you have to justify a lot for people to fork over £70
My PS5 might be the only product that has increased in value over time. I bought it new for £450. I guess if I wait a couple of years I can sell it for £10,000.
@3Above That's more than fair. Hopefully we will, but the future looks grim for any kind of ownership. The mantra "You'll own nothing and be happy" is becoming more and more prevalent.
@3Above I understand you weren't attacking me, no problem.
But we have very different views on who's responsible for that. I think the fault rests entirely on Sony. I buy my products from them and I don't care if they have a piracy problem. I pay for the products and I want access to them, it's up to them to satisfy the consumer without prejudicing them to protect their product.
@3Above Really? Thanks for the explanation! That's so insightful!
Of course that's how they are protecting the console. That's not how they should do it. I shouldn't be punished because someone was able to run Linux on it. It's up to them to find a way to protect their product without screwing me over.
@TheWarPigeon I'm playing it on PS5 and this is a Playstation blog. Unfortunate that the experience is not smooth on PC, but honestly that's not what I'm discussing.
@gamer153 I would agree. By your logic 80% of the games are nigh unplayable, as they have much more egregious bugs than Crimson Desert has. But you're entitled to that level of criticism, as you bought the product and you decide at the end of the day if it was worth it or not.
@twitchtvpat First of all, calm down. I don't know you, so ease the tone. Second, it looks like Fortnite in the crappy cartoon uncreative art style, not in gameplay. Now go drink some tea and relax for a bit.
@gamer153 That is one issue. Meanwhile I've played the game for almost 100 hours with one crash and one bugged quest that got fixed by a patch. How many games are that stable nowadays?
I'm not saying the game is in perfect condition, but it's definitely in a released state.
"We think that knee-jerk reaction was a little rash, because from what's been released so far, it shows a lot of potential, and that divisive art and animation style looks fantastic from where we're sitting"
You think wrong. No one asked for Horizon Fortnite.

Re: Saros PS5 Sales Estimates at 300k, Selling Slower Than Returnal on a Bigger Install Base
If I'm mildly interested in a game and it costs £70, I'm definitely not buying it.
If this game was £50 or less, I think a lot more people would've bought it.
Re: Crimson Desert PS5 Update Streak Continues in Patch 1.06, Out Now on PS5
Been playing it for 130 hours and still not tired of it. I don't think this game is getting any awards, but I think it will be the people's GoTY.

Re: Physical Game Fans, Beware: Digital Downloads Hit an Astonishing 85% on PS5, PS4 Last Quarter
@Rich33 True. They have the perfect opportunity as Xbox is scrambling and the Switch 2 has nothing exciting going for it.
If they focus on giving a much improved experience from the PS5, they could sweep this gen.

Re: Physical Game Fans, Beware: Digital Downloads Hit an Astonishing 85% on PS5, PS4 Last Quarter
@Rich33 I would agree with you, except that they raised their console price from £450 to £570 this generation.
I don't think they're focusing on getting people on their ecosystem anymore, they're focusing on extracting the most from those who already are in it.

@Slayer25c Entitlement? I don't think you understand the meaning of the word. Sony is not a charity. I pay them money, I want the product.
