Re: Helldivers 2 May Turn Negative Steam Reviews into a Fashionable In-Game Cape

@ATaco Sony famously suffers more data breaches than all the other platforms.
I agree it's extreme fanboyism. A bunch of Sony fanboys can't take criticism because of a situation that was clearly mishandled by Sony. But as long as some people define their personality by which game system they have, we're going to have ridiculous arguments like this one.

@Mortal If it is a misunderstanding, Sony is still accountable because it's a major blunder to not know in which territories your own game is being sold. Their whole handling of the situation has been one fumble after another. Hopefully they'll be mature enough to make Helldivers 2 the exception and void the requirement. If not they have done Arrowhead Studios dirty.

The amount of ignorance in the comment section is astounding. While Sony has told everyone from the beginning that PSN was a requirement, PS Plus is available only in 69 countries and yet they sold the game to every territory.
People who can make PSN accounts and are complaining can be considered entitled, but those that have no literal way to make it are being punished due to Sony stubbornness.

To sell the game in territories where you know that it's impossible to access PSN just to later pull the rug from under them is an absurdly scummy attitude from Sony.

Re: SMT 5: Vengeance Offers '75 More Hours of Gameplay', Says Atlus

@NEStalgia I agree. I think Apocalypse's quality overshadowed IV a bit, but IV is what gives Apocalypse the foundation to be what it is. It's a very solid introduction to that post apocalyptic universe.
V doesn't get much better than it's beginning. Characters don't get much development and the plot doesn't have that characteristic SMT depth and complexity with philosophical and ethical questions. It feels rushed, as if they had the blueprint to a SMT game but never expanded on it. Hopefully this version will fix it.

Re: TV Show Review: Fallout - RPG Series Marks Another TV Triumph

@Czar_Khastik Fallout is focused mostly on exploration and it does have some similarities with elder scrolls Oblivion. The story is not that deep and there are some big plotholes but the world gets interesting if you focus more on story and less on exploration. I would say New Vegas is the exact opposite. It has an extremely interesting story and well developed characters, but it's exploration is more limited although more cohesive. DLC wise New Vegas had better offerings. Gameplay wise they're very similar but New Vegas has a slight advantage by having true iron sights on its weapons.
Fallout 4 has the better gameplay of all of them, but it has an extremely dull story that is limited due to the main character being voiced.
It's very shallow in its systems but it does have good dungeon design and if you like that repetition of looting to get better equipment to go on another dungeon and do the same thing again, it's the game for you.
I personally prefere Fallout New Vegas, as I think it is the most consistent with its design philosophies and the most Role Playing of the games, but you're going to find people arguing for any of the 3 being the best. It really depends on what you focus on when you play a game.

@Flaming_Kaiser I wouldn't take that review quite seriously. A lot of reviewers prefer to be controversial over analysing something objectively.
From personal experience I can tell you that even though the microtransactions are a blemish, they barely factor in the game.
The game has fast travel, it's just more limited and makes you plan your trips more consciously.
I played through most of the quests and some of them are a bit simple, but very far from broken.
It's a game with great exploration, amazing combat but a few clunky spots, like its story being a bit simplistic and some quests being bland. But it's far better than some would make you believe.
