Seriously? This is the best month since I started subscribing. Always wanted to play Jedi and Axiom Verge 2 but hadn't got round to buying them. Will check out Fallout now that it is fixed and good (I think?).

The Nintendo Indie showcase last night had a video of this, looks absolutely brilliant.

I pity anyone who plays games just for the trophies.

@ShogunRok Appreciate this may be too late to ask a question but I have only read 2 reviews for this, yours which was glowing, and another that said the game was virtually unplayable due to the bugs, glitches and crashes. They went as far to call it a Cyberpunk level disaster. Did you encounter anything like that?

In case people are unsure - you can either renew at your current level for the discount or if you want to upgrade you first pay the amount to upgrade for however long was remaining on your initial subscription, then go back in and the option to add another annual subscription will now be there.

I have stacked for 2 years at Extra for about £110 after ShopTo discounts. Well happy with that. Wondering if I should add a third year?

@jdv95 Nice. If you top up your wallet with the PSN cards from Shoptp you can a year of Extra for about 55 quid.

If you use the vouchers from ShopTo then a year of Extra costs £70. I will literally not have to spend any money on a game in 2023 beyond that. Fantastic value for someone like me who missed all these titles first time round.

I reckon it's like when you spend 2 hours cooking a meal. You lose perspective and end up a bit underwhelmed in your creation, thinking of all the stuff you could have done differently or added to it, even though everyone else loves it.

@LiamCroft Sounded too good, thanks for the clarification. I guess the answer is to keep an eye on that 'last chance to play' section or whatever it's called.

@thefourfoldroot1 It's perfect for people like me who never had a PS4. I can imagine though that if you are up to date with releases then it is a harder sell. I wonder if they will add more games like Stray on Day One or whether that was a one-off?

@TaMpA_bLaCk Really? So everyone who claimed Red Dead 2 for example before that left still have access to it? That's pretty great then. If you delete it for space can you redownload it though in the future?

The rotation is a necessary evil of the subscription model but it is one of the reasons I've never really been a fan of the industry moving in this direction. Extra is still brilliant value but I do fear the day that I am 50 hours deep into some RPG only to see it disappear before I reach the end.

You can argue about whether or not the price is right for the tech that you are getting, but for me the question is why has Sony gone down the premium, high cost road? They must know there is no chance of VR cutting through into the mainstream at this price. No chance of this outselling PSVR 1 so I'm really not sure what they are trying to achieve. Seems a waste of resources to me.

@Americansamurai1 Not sure about across the pond but in the UK we use the word "scheme" interchangeably with "program", it has no negative connotations in this context.

I thought the original was pretty much spot on, perhaps just a smidge too long, so this sounds about right.

3.5 hours of cutscenes though.... eurgh.

It was great but I don't need to see any more. I was already sold on God of War as soon as it was announced, anything else is an unnecessary spoiler.

Seems a bit generous. It was fine, nothing amazing. God of War looks great but then we knew that didn't we? Don't remember the release dates for most of the games being particular near either, one at least was a vague 2024 (I forget which).

Overall, a bit meh.

This is all well and good but it unfortunately becomes irrelevant when they announce a £400 price point.

Why not make it free to play at this point, I mean what do they have to lose?

Wow, I would have hoped things like this and Anthem would have put people like Sony off of the whole GaaS thing, but unfortunately they sound intent on going all in.

@Gamer_Guy I feel exactly the same. I have stopped buying games almost completely (other than in a ridiculous sale or unmissable titles like Silksong when it comes) and I worry about the knock on effect to developers of these Indie titles in particular. Before I would have bought Deaths Door and other's of that size and quality but now I just wait. I really should be supporting the teams that make them and I really hope games like this don't disappear as they are no longer profitable.

I really want to play Death's Door but am paranoid about buying anything these days in case it suddenly appears on PS+ Extra.

Looks like more of the same but I'm not complaining. Other than some minor pacing issues and a fairly uninteresting postgame I'm not really sure how they could improve from the first one.

@LiamCroft I fully agree that Deathloop is the headline this month. Extra is going from strength to strength and even Essential has picked up. Premium however...

Saw the photo of Deathloop and got excited. Never mind, It's time for me to upgrade to Extra I reckon.

PS Plus Extra is absolutely killing it. Can't ignore it any longer, I'm signing up tonight. I just hope these games hang around and don't start getting cycled out before I've had a chance to play them all.

@get2sammyb I'll go first. As a PS+ subscriber I already have access to the remastered version. I have never played the game before so is this new one worth shelling out for or do I stick with the copy I already have?

Let's be kind and call this an homage, but seriously why are people so desperate to hate on this game? Give it a chance. There is nothing I want more than for Sonic to be great again.

Inevitable but disappointing nonetheless. Is a full blown Astro game on PS5 (not VR) too much to ask? Or at least playable on both. I can't be bothered with the VR stuff (let alone the extra expense) and I can't be alone it that?

What a ridiculous headline and article. Aren't we all meant to be video game fans here? Since when is a new trailer for the new game of one of the most iconic characters in history something to be "subjected" to? If you are not looking forward to the game then fine go write something else, but some of us are still giving this the benefit of the doubt. I want the game to be great and I welcome the opportunity for a new trailer to get us all excited again

@zupertramp Yes it's still a digital code even for disc version PS5. That way you can't immediately trade it in you see...

I've never played a Yakuza game before but have always been tempted, would Like a Dragon be a good place to start?

Now that's more like it! For anyone who hasn't played Little Nightmares I strongly recommend it. It's a Limbo/Inside style of game that's genuinely creepy with some horrific characters. Whisper it but enjoyed it more than Inside.

@MightyDemon82 If you only get one then get the third one "Zelda Encyclopaedia". The second one (Art & Artifacts) is pure art so whilst beautiful there are no words or info to go with it.

@MightyDemon82 Dark Horse published the fantastic trio of Zelda art books which I have on my coffee table, they really are wonderful.

As for Forbidden West I'm not saying it is undeserving of success, just that calling it the top-seller is a bit misleading.

@Danloaded It's because it's bundled with new PS5s so pretty much everyone who buys a new console is getting a copy whether they want one or not.

How can you include a steelbook but not the disc? That is so stupid. They really don't want you trading in do they?
