I'm playing Trails the 3rd on PC. I'm about 66 hours in, and I think I'm nearing the end. It's definitely a much darker experience than the first two games, but still highly recommended. Looking forward to getting back to my PS4 though, it's just easier.
@colonelkilgore Start from Trails in the Sky, you won't regret it. I'm still only on Trails the 3rd, although I've bought everything like a fool 😂. Would love to know who is thinking of getting the plushies, I'm really conflicted. I wanted an Estelle really.
As I'm currently playing Sky 3rd, this is all incredibly exciting for me and I'm not worried about the wait for Reverie and Kuro. I am extremely grateful that these games are being localised at all and will be buying all of them to support future releases. Same goes for Ys!
Excellent review, just serves to increase my excitement for the limited edition that will be winging my way in 10 days! Got to finish Trails the 3rd first though. I'm just going to forget about the Switch/PC versions. Let's face it, we don't play the early Trails titles for their graphical superiority.
Trails in the Sky the 3rd on PC, Slay the Spire (so horribly addictive), and I've just started Assassin's Creed Origins after the Ubisoft Forward. Cutting edge stuff 😆
I am a relatively new fan of the series, and I'm all for unifying it with the Japanese title, a bit like when they sorted out the numbering regime for Final Fantasy.
The author is entitled to his opinion, but I deeply disagree with it. At the time this game came out, it was an outstanding achievement, in gameplay, in sound design, and most of all in narrative and story architecture. The atmosphere was pure Lynch, and several moments in the game are straight up unforgettable. Undoubtedly, some of the elements will have aged, as aspects of all games do, but that does not change this game's status as an absolute classic. I'm glad more people will get to experience it now for the first time.
Who says I won't be happy with just merchandise announcements 😆 Truly though, I'd love modern console ports of P3 and P4, for the sake of convenience
Currently in the final hours of Persona 5 Royal, 163 hours down so far ðŸ˜. Worth every minute though. Playing Ys Origin with the kids, second run. Moving on to Yakuza 0 next, played a little bit and it's magnificent so far. Also Trails SC on the PC.
One of my favourite games of all time, dark and magical, with a moving yet surreal narrative and a haunting OST. Should have been a contender for game of the year at the time. American Nightmare was a great follow-up too.
Almost wasn't able to buy Erica and Yakuza Kiwami on the last day they were on offer, but luckily it went through, just before I would have burst into tears!
Persona 5 Royal still, 98 hours in. It is such a great experience, not many games could keep me going this long and still leave me wanting more. I'm also 30ish hours into Trails in The Sky SC on PC, and have just begun Ys Origin - I bought a lovely physical PS4 copy of it from Strictly Limited Games. Kids are playing Fall Guys and Golden Axe.
I loved Layers of Fear, and The Medium was my only regret in regards to deciding to stick with PlayStation when I buy my next console. Glad to have that regret removed now!
Finished Concrete Genie, which was a wonderful, short experience. I am consequently continuing on with The Last of Us Part II, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Persona 5 Royal, each a truly magnificent game in its own way. Have only owned a PS4 Pro for a year and a half, but already have a hideous backlog! I get great joy from adding games to The List, whilst squarely ignoring PS5 for now.
Started Concrete Genie, which is beautiful, and the kids are enjoying watching it too. Other than that, about to proceed to the third Palace on Persona 5 Royal. Still happy with my decision to wait a bit for PS5, until the madness has died down a bit and game prices are lower.
More Persona 5 Royal, having beaten the first Palace. I swear, they add more complications to the game systems every hour or so! It's done in a masterful way though, so I don't mind really. My eldest is about to boot up World of Final Fantasy for himself, as a starter JRPG.
I have far too many games on the go, but currently I'm fairly obsessed with Persona 5 Royal. Shadow of The Tomb Raider and Greedfall are calling me, but I'm resisting!
Thoroughly enjoyed it and so did my wife, who had much less initial interest than me. I agree there should be a little more focus on the awards and fewer trailers, but overall a nice celebration of the hobby.
Mostly still playing Horizon: Zero Dawn, getting utterly destroyed by Snapmaws as I rush in with no planning and hope for the best 90% of the time. I love the world though, and my wife is enjoying watching the plot unfold. Looking forward to playing a new season of Fall Guys with the kids too. Then a new pile of games in two weeks!

Re: Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden Get January 2023 Release Date on PS4
If there are physical copies, and maybe some special eds, I'll be buying day one. If not, it's likely I'll be busy with Trails To Azure.
Re: Silent Hill: The Short Message Gets an Age Rating, Likely a New Game
This better be a new Silent Hill game for consoles. Come on, we've waited long enough. It could be mine, it should be mine, give it to me!

No thank you to Hood, but with Spongebob for the kids and Slay The Spire for me (a game on my hit list) this is a great month!

Didn't expect to find anything new here, but this feature is excellent. I can here the sound of my Buy list straining under the pressure!

Once more, this is extremely not for me, but as many have said, I have a huge backlog, so I'm not too upset. Better be good next month though!

@Wazeddie22 It has stolen my heart! I will probably give Persona 4 a go on the PC at some point.
