@IntrepidWombat I'm really enjoying Hades. I'm not a massive fan of Roguelite games, but the addition of story progress in between runs, and the ability to purchase some permanent upgrades balances the potential for frustration. Also, it has a phenomenal soundtrack, that feels modern and ancient at the same time.

My main game is Trails of Cold Steel II, but I'm also playing Resident Evil 2 Remake (Leon Second Run), Hades, and Powerwash Simulator to relax after all of the above.

This is amazing, I can't wait to experience how it all began!

Silent Hill 2, the only choice for horror fans.

Like others have said, I am now waiting for the PS5 Pro, which I will buy day one. In the meantime, I have so many PS4 games to play on my PS4 Pro, I don't really need a new console in all honesty. Having said that, I am still massively positive about what's coming out on PS5. Really looking forward to playing Alan Wake II, Rebirth and Baldur's Gate III, plus loads of other titles.

I don't even have a PS5 yet (holding out for the Pro), but I'm a massive fan, and if this had a physical edition I would have bought it day one, as I have for other franchises I follow. Digital only was unfortunately a deal breaker, and I will buy it discounted at a later date.

I'm just finishing Yakuza 3 now after many hours of gameplay, so if they announce a remake anytime soon, I will cry real tears

I would definitely try this, looks really interesting. There is a place for graphical excellence, but it's doesn't always need to be the focus.

I completely agree with some of the comments above. Why should we stop being careful about spoiling things for other people, just because they've been around for a while? The Mousetrap play in London wouldn't be pleased with that approach. What about people who weren't even born when the game came out? Do they not deserve a chance to experience the story as intended? What about people new to gaming, should we ruin the classics for them before they even get started? To me, it feels like a very selfish, insular, and exclusionary approach to take.

Still playing Ys VI currently, but will I be getting the collector's edition of this? Oh yes. Turnaround is really speeding up on these Falcom releases.

Great review. I love massive JRPG experiences, but it's awesome that this is 15-20 hours of killer, with no filler. This is not a downside for me, and more games should respect your time like this.

Looks like a lot of fun to me, and I have only a passing acquaintance with Castlevania.

Now, this is my sort of list! I've put Fate down as a future purchase now, even though I was previously a little worried that you would need to be clued up on the continuity. Playing Trails of Cold Steel currently, glad to hear such positive things about game 10.

This is what I'm holding out for, still playing my PS4 backlog in the meantime. It is very hard not to just make the jump now though. If this turns out to be nonsense, I will cry.

I'm still playing Trails of Cold Steel, so I'm not too worried that we're not up to date in the west yet. As the article says though, Falcom and NIS are doing a great job getting us there. If we keep supporting the franchise, the dream of a simultaneous release may happen one day - I might be caught up by then!

Guiltily, I abandoned FFXV 35 hrs in and I don't know if I'll ever finish it, because, and I say this with regret, the story is terrible. If only somebody would have warned me! Now I'm 15 hours into Cold Steel instead, which is a million times better. Proof that graphics really aren't everything. Also playing Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars and Ys VI with the kids.

Hell no. I don't even have a PS5 yet! Even if I did, any portable system I had would need to work without WiFi, otherwise, what's the point? Buy a Steamdeck or a Switch instead.

Trails to Azure, over seventy hours in and I've just started the final chapter. My Reverie collector's edition is staring at me forlornly.

Great article, I love what Falcom is doing and I'm excited to receive my collector's edition, even though I'm still playing Azure and have four more games to go until I reach this!

I'm playing Trails to Azure, 47 hrs in and I'm guessing about half way through. I'm really enjoying it, but I'm looking forward to the plot heating up even further, as Trails games are definitely a slow boil.

This is very disappointing, I was hoping the sequel would be more like Tetris, all that anime stuff in the last one was very distracting.

This is a real shame, Concrete Genie wax an excellent family game with a beautiful style and an engaging story.

This looks really atmospheric and entriguing, I am definitely up for playing this!

@Feena Yes, definitely play on PC with the patch, the voice acting adds so much and is excellent! Zero follows the Third, and carries on some major plot points from it.

I'm waiting for my limited edition set to come through the door, but the estimated delivery time keeps getting later and later, and sometimes dissapears completely 😭

I've waited so long, and now I'm drowning in Silent Hill content! It's time to go back to our special place...

Trails From Zero still, thirty hours in now. I'm really starting to enjoy the setting, which has a totally different feel to the Sky trilogy. I love the lore building, slowly revealing a picture of a city caught between two major powers and riddled with corruption. Don't have a PS5 yet, but my sons did buy me a Ragnarok Dualsense for Christmas 😂

I am playing Indivisible with the kids, which has some horrific checkpoints, but is generally great fun. My main title is still Trails From Zero. Can I finish it by the March release if Trails to Azure? I hope so!

Have moved straight on to Trails From Zero and boy am I glad to be playing on console rather than PC! Very early days, so the characters haven't grabbed me as much as the ones in Sky yet, but I'll give it time. I love the setting though, Crossbell is my new home.

I'm going to wait until I have a PS5, which may be some years down the line, as I work through my PS4 backlog. By that time, it will be £15 on the PS classics label 😆.
