Yea I have been telling some of my younger video game playing friends this story for years & they were shocked. It's so hilarious that Nintendo, basically, created the PlayStation. Karma is a bi*€&, right?

It's also the single biggest blunder by any video game company in the history of the industry. Even worse than Virtual Boy or Sega ruining their company with the Sega CD, 32X, & the horrendous decision to launch the Saturn WAY early, at E3, with no warning to their development teams.

Apparently you people are forgetting the Sony PlayStation TV ads with Crash using a megaphone talking to trash to Nintendo, calling out Mario. Classic.

It's Crash here & it's not even close.

Metal Gear Solid would be my pick.

Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy Tactics, & of course, Resident Evil, would be my runner-ups.

But there are like 1000 more I could name here. Picking just one, or a few, is a tough task.

Like one of the review above said & IGN said in their full review, this game is for long time fans only. Apparently, if you haven't seen through season 3 of the show, don't even bother with this game.

Well, that's diappointing since I have yet to watch the show.

I just replayed this recently. It's still one of the greatest games of all time.

Since the first RE: Revelations was average, at best & complete crap at it's worst......my expectations for this game are quite low.

Capcom is destroying this franchise. Just give us the RE Remake & get to remaking RE2.

RE5, RE6, Raccoon City, & Revelations have shown Capcom has no cohesive vision for this series & it needs a complete reboot.

Until Sony gets their heads out their own @$$£$$ and gets Netflix on PSTV, I will not buy it. It also needs to drop the INSANE memory card prices & make more Vita games compatible. Uncharted is almost a must, at this point.

But looking at how Sony has done a disgraceful job supporting the Vita, I am not getting my hopes up.

I haven't seen the show yet, so not sure if this game is for existing fans or a self-contained storyline.

I so want this.

Yea no God Of War here. He was done with that long ago.

He is also the tool that said people don't want a story in games, so this will probably be, yet another, mutiplayer focused turd of a game.

I absolutely hated 'Demon's Souls', so I am not intetested in 'Dark Souls' much, but I think it's grreat it's getting a GOTY-type edition.

Anyways, I am playing Resident Evil: Revelations right now, & it is a complete disappointment. So I am no longer interested in Revelations 2. But I love me some RE Remake though. Now get to remastering RE2, then I will forgive all past wrong doings.

I am very intetested in this. Glad to see it's getting great review scores.

No point in getting a PS4 right now. Interface changes are nice and all, but buying a system is all about games. And Sony is failing, big time, in that dept., so I will wait. When Sony stops shoving crappy indie titles down my throat to try to hide the fact their AAA studios need to get on the ball.......then I will think about a PS4.

And really, what's the hurry? The PS3 and my awesome backlog of games are just fine until I see the PS4 get a price drop, a bigger hard drive, and most importantly......some killer games.

Snore. Wake me when an indie game doesn't blatenly rip off games from the past, reskin it, call it new & then people rave about how "inventive" or "innovative" it is.

Oh and then they charge you $10 - $15 for it. when you could just go get the original & superior game for the same price (or cheaper) on Virtual Console.

For the love of god, I wish developers would stop making 8-bit retro looking indie games. That fad was over long ago. Thank god. And a game that you can beat in one sitting......ugh.

I loved the 2 previous Geometry Wars games, so I am psyched for the 3rd.

I am a bit concerened about the game having a different developer, though.

$20 is ridiculous. Why do people still play this game?

Like I have said.....any hacker that gets caught & found guilty should have their hands smashed with a hammer & get jail time.

People will think twice about pulling this crap. Let's see them hack with no hands. And a hacker in prison would be someone's bit@# within 20 min. of arrival.

I would've voted for, "None Of The Above", if that was an option.

The survival horror game sounds kinda interesting & at least this list isn't all puzzle platformers. But still tired of the endless string of mediocre indie titles.

There was a rumor that they may go into Kratos's brother's backstory at some point (as hinted at in Ghost Of Sparta), so maybe they will give the brother his own game.

I love my PS3 & still use it every day. My backlog is the size of a dictionary, so that won't be changing soon.

I am big fan of the GOW series, but 3 wrapped up Kratos's story (pretty much) & Ascension sucked. I am hoping for a new IP here.

My question is......do you have to have watched the show to get into this game? Or would I be totally lost?

Sounds interesting, but I am also tired of puzzle platformers.

I may be the only one wondering this, but I'll ask anyways.......

Is this playable on PS TV?

Considering what Sony has done lately, they'll probably screw this up. They still don't even have Netflix on PSTV, which is completely ridiculous.

And what would Sony & Microsoft want us to use to get their streaming gaming services (which very few people want in the first place) onto our TV's? Maybe a box made of plastic w/ a bunch of technology inside?

I have also been gaming since the Atari 2600 & Commodore 64 days. I have owned every major gaming console ever released except for this new generation.

And it's not even a stretch to say, that if you own 57 PS4 games, there are 2 things at play here:

1. You have $ burning a whole in your pocket & make enough to support purchasing that many games. And you have more free time on your hands than most human beings at our age (I assume you are my age since you keep telling everyone you had an Atari). Good for you.

2. You clearly have lower standards for what you consider a game worth purchasing. When a console is ONE year into it's lifecycle and you have purchased 57 games for it.......I don't know how else to explain it to you. I am not saying it's a bad thing, necessarily. Everybody has their own standards on what they consider a good game.

However, companies listen to what consumers say with their wallets. And buying "sub par" games gives companies the wrong idea & they'll continue to make underwhelming, buggy, glitchy games if we keep buying them.

If you truely were playing games on the Atari, & went through the great videogame crash like I did, you should realize that can be a dangerous thing for the industry.

Sammy isn't being overly critical. Rayman Legends & AC IV: Black Flag were PS3 games originally. Not the same thing.

And you having FIFTY games for the PS4 already (if that's even true), just shows you have lower expectations than what most gamers have & that's fine. To each their own.

Obviously, you have your opinion......but, no way this is Sony's last generation of consoles. Their 1st two consoles won their respective generations & the PS3 was way better than the 360 & eventually did outsell it. And since Nintendo wants to do their own thing (for better or worse), they aren't really even in major competition with Sony.

And the PS4 had sold incredibly well. It just needs software.....which it will get eventually. Just a bad year for some PS4 owners, but how that is some preview into Sony leaving the gaming industry......not happening.

The fact that I am in these comment sections, complaining about a lack of a real reason for me to get a PS4, should tell you where I voted.

I don't even think it's the underwhelming overhyped games that are the biggest problem. I think it's the arrogance of companies to release glitchy, buggy titles that simply don't work as advertised. That type of practice could really scar the industry if it continues.

So I am going to have patience, save my $ (for now) & see what happens. Now I am going to go hug my PS3 & thank it for still working.

I will avoid this game like the plague. I will not reward idiotic companies for releasing unfinished, glitchy garbage.

Well said......I should've said publishers instead of developers. That's my mistake.

Yea release dates are more important that actually delivering a working product these days. And it's even worse this time of year. There is no way in hell Assassin's Creed: Unity was going to miss this release date. So they push a buggy product out the door & patch it later. Sad state of affairs.

You are right. Enabling the patching of console games, post-launch, has made developers lazy.

Couldn't agree with you more. This "next-gen" has been pure dogcrap, in my opinion.

Almost every game that comes out is either underwhelming, some buggy mess, has online problems, or is some quirky/artsy indie puzzle platformer that we've seen a million times already.

I know it's only year one, but this new generation of consoles needs to get it's crap together. Just because sales of the new consoles are strong (for now), doesn't mean people won't walk away, eventually, if they are constantly disappointed.

My PS3 missed Sackboy. I am concerned since this isn't Media Molecule, though.

Microsoft called to say that they are happy Sony is planning a big 'ol indie sized New Years.

An "action adventure game"? What the?!! We want SURVIVAL HORROR, Capcom. It's like they are actually TRYING to destroy this franchise.

And I think the real question everyone wants answered is.......

Will Chris Redfield's roided up biceps be a hidden, playable character?

I was a HUGE fan of the Mass Effect games (yes, even part 3), but like you, I question why we even need another 'Mass Effect' game (other than EA wants to make $ off the name, of course). Why not a new IP?

And where the heck is my Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic HD remaster?!!
