@theMEGAniggle agree 100%, i loved gta4 physics, controls, and tone to an extent.
The physics is what made the gameplay fun, challenging, gta5 is a dud for me, a waste of time mostly, for mindlessly passing time, and so scripted missions, no leeway for experimenting much.
@riceNpea yes, i got the g29 with the 3 pedals included and got their shifter, all on ebay for around 300cad new, have it since a few years with zero problem.
Couldn't be happier,,solid, nice feel, finish, solid pedals, Couldn't ask for more at the price.
Infamous ss was a repetitive, generic, open world game, with silly little markers to get to, plus destroy things just to destroy things.. I still like the xmen type powers and all but, better innovate.
Just played some of the 1st game yesterday again, combat is really cool with a mix of enemies, and high up difficulty setting, and animations can make it cinematic, just have some stutters on ps4 that takes that away a little.
I like the 1st game quite a bit, be cool if levels get a little more designed with many detours and shortcuts that are a little challenging to find and use.
Have more of a rpg perhaps choices.
And a little more polish, like for animations.
It be nice to turn off that big red glow of enemies unblockable attacks, let me notice it with just the animations, sounds etc.
Many great, games at great price, seems to me. Also this war of mine is 4$ , goddamnit, I'm so tight budget just now i don't even think i can get it lol, jeesshh.
@Ear_wiG true, i wish i can play all 3 games on ps4 now, at least there's the remake to look forward too on ps5 i think. This looks like it has same vibes a little, sound effects, moody visuals, sci-fi horror.
Looks fine and could be fun, if a little generic and uninspired. But it's just a small slice of gameplay i guess. One little thing that could be better is how moving a certain distance doesn't seem to match animations sometimes, like floating/sliding in addition, makes it look less refined. Hope it's challenging in interesting ways, combat, exploration, puzzles, and vehicles.
Unreal is often pretty average in final games, on ps4, outer worlds, me: andromeda.. always slow load of detail and textures, stutters, clunky animations, poor physics and environment interactions. Seems fast easier way more than anything.
@ShogunRok well i thought that would be a probable reply. As for hardcore, depends in which way, but if you say so i guess.
As in 'oh i need to be on this new gadget' maybe, but as in hardcore gamer, not so sure how it fits, as the content here is far from hardcore. Pretty mainstream it seems.
Which is fine of course.
@Stevey_Mac it's the same as always, a game mostly about marketing bull more than anything.
Ai is even worse, driving is barely any deeper, short racing from last to 1st passing yarn, glitsy graphics superficially that dont look even any better on ps5 apart from res up, high cost cars, grinding for months or paying for, online req, mostly marketing for casuals.
All the usual bla bla of ai, and official support from f1 driver, official wheel, super deep feel with ds5 haptics, real driver championships, bla bla bla..
Get real..., if you get a wheel, get a real sim too, not gt.
Waste for me, not at all interested in shallow arcade driving with an attempted attitude with a crappy story, as review says, and could see a mile in advance. Hope ea/codies don't mess with dirt rally 3.0.
@ShogunRok yeah it seems really ok and playable now on std ps4.
Well the crowd ai seems to be the only update not on the ps4 gen from all i read and saw, so you still get all improvements, except of course the smooth clean graphics it seems.
Even enemy ai is supposed to be updated too.
I think it's needed to have re-reviews, or at least updates on reviews, as you just did of course, after major updates.
Even the ps4 1.5 update on review would be appreciated a lot.
Edit: there's a few new quests only on new gen too.
Now of course, because i added the demo to my library, even though it's undownloadable.. the ps4 game itself, which is 50% off, is off my wishlist and i cant reselect it to add it again or buy it on cell phone ps app.
On my wishlist after watching a bit of good gameplay, looks great overall. Glad devs are working on it, adding options is always good, although i prefer learn a game's depth of intricacies, and try as much as can to discover on my own efforts all the game has on offer, all that is interesting, challenging, fun. As long as it's fair, and not weaknesses of the game itself. Glad they announced more content too, and even free.
So if it's already so impressive, why does it take the next game, ie in 7 years plus still, before they put it in gt? Why not put at least part of it in gt7, always blah blah, then nothing new or better in their games.
@LewisHamilton doesnt look bad at all, but does seem repetitive. The ps4 demo was great for me, except graphic optimization while on track, some slow fps, and stutters. Been a patch or 2 since but i don't know how much it fixed, the ai has been made more competitive though. What i wonder is what's the difference between the ps4 version in backward compatible mode on ps5 and the real ps5 version.

@ShogunRok 80% of gamers are still on ps4 gen it seems. 120million ps4, 20 million ps5, so 100million left still on ps4 vs 20m ps5.
And ps4 still outsells ps5 until at least end of jan of this year..

Re: Demon's Souls' Old Monk Boss Fight Is Hidetaka Miyazaki's Favourite
One style of enemy i don't really like much is like one in ds3, that swirling black mass that moves, attacks any which way.
Just feels like nothing, no special design, to face, just a gibberish non sense.
