Re: Horizon Zero Dawn PS4's Price Doubles After PS5 Remaster Announcement

Jtheripper

Ofc because they dont want to make it cheaper to get the ps4 version plus upgrade, instead of the new ps5 version.

But, it be better if they kept the ps4 version at same low price, but make the upgrade more costly for those buying the old game starting now, that the new one is announced.

And leave the upgrade cheap for those that already had bought it. Idk,,seems a little more fair maybe.
Then you could wait to buy the upgrade or ps5 version on sale later on.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn PS5 Wins Over PlayStation Fans

Jtheripper

It's a reasonable deal, but problem is if you already played it, plus there's a sequel out already that's more impressive already, with more fleshed out outposts etc, from what i read..

There's also the problem of ssd storage space when it's a ps5 version game, which costs a bundle to upgrade to something beefy still.

And, the 1st game ps4 version is already updated to run smooth and cleaner, in backcompatibility.

Worth it if you haven't played it, and prefer play the 1st game before the sequel.

Re: Round Up: Star Wars Outlaws PS5 Reviews Are Hit and Miss

Jtheripper

It's a shame really that the base gameplay is poor, i really like the look, feel, design idea of it in previews.
But as was to be expected, stealth is poor and broken even it seems, action is basic, and mission design is very limited, instant stealth fail where you can't even knock a guard out, or if allowed, the game is bugged and fails because the ai saw you while its being knocked down, etc.

Shame, but you can see in avatar too, the devs last game, the beginning is a bad sign, with 30 mins almost if basic corridor stealth with almost no guards.

I don't get it, they have a lot of resources, ubisoft, they should have time too, on ps5 it's buggy it seems really.
As others said, 20 bucks in a year or 2.
Wanted this to be great, even the open world i read is pretty underwhelming with it's bland racing, the shooting on the bike etc.
Check out big dan gaming vid, he shows the ai, and trial and error stealth etc.

Re: Preview: Star Wars Outlaws Thrives in Its Rewarding Open World

Jtheripper

Just watch some more continuous gameplay of that demo, instead of small cuts from the vid here, and, it looks abysmal to me sadly.

Very generic, average, bad animations in gameplay( stormtroopers moving to you in erratic ways, making no sense), bad ai, corny generic quips, big red x on enemies, easy paused mark and shoot, bland empty environments and side activities, etc.

Idk, hope they improve it for a good year after launch, i really wish this be good.

Glad for the promising game as a whole,,but still, if the action, and stealth are lukewarm, it will satisfy only casuals and fans of the ip it seems.

Instafail isn't great, why not let me try get out of it instead, have more flexible design..

Seems massive isnt up it for action games, avatar seems middling too.

Re: Check Out a Full 10 Minute Star Wars Outlaws Quest on PS5

Jtheripper

From this vid, it looks like basic generic gameplay design, in all facets sadly, including level design.
With usual load hiding in sliding thru cracks, sliding down a,1 way slope path etc.

Plus graphic quality and detail is pretty basic too for a newgen only game.
There's some charm, humor that is likeable.
We'll see i guess, maybe this is the most basic gameplay part of the whole game..

Hope it surprises..

Re: PSN Online Services Restored Across the Board

Jtheripper

Yesterday late evening around 2:45am i got unknowned error messages when trying to buy a game on pstore, directly on ps5.

I tried a few times and was able to buy one game, but it was too late to keep try for another i was thinking to get, mafia 1 remastered on sale.

So i missed the sale, im guessing there's no way to ask Sony to let me get it now at the sale price..

Re: Next Gran Turismo 7 PS5, PS4 Update Could Be a Big One

Jtheripper

Im in montreal, never even heard there was a presentation here soon.
Admittedly, i had uninstalled gts a couple years ago, and been into more hardcore sims with a wheel etc.

But, i re-installed gts just few days ago and im amazed at how nice a game it is really, even if a little shallow in the sp side.
Best replay sounds in a game i ever tried.
Ai races pretty well really, looks great on ps5, smooth controls with the gyroscope on ds5, can do long races in custom race, pitstops, etc.

Gonna look into gt7 now, seems it has a little improved physics, sounds, added 3 old favorite tracks.
Just the ai seeems really poor apart from sophie update, which for now is still limited i think in sp modes?
Im only into sp play so..
It sure take a lot of storage gts though, 100g ouch. At least i can install and run it from my external hdd, where as gt7 will use up all that on the precious expensive ssd.

Aren't they supposed to expand Sophie to more sp options?

@Northern_munkey i see, thanks, appreciate the reply.
But many say wrc10 is less floaty, slidey on tarmac than generations, weird you didn't like 10 much.
Ill see i guess, surely ill get both at some point.
Wrc generations was 16 cad last sale, i waited for now, still have 10 to go thru.
Yeah, ea wrc went low fast, because of poor launch game condition, and disappointing aspects.
I use a wheel as well, tks.
