As expected, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League made an appearance during DC FanDome. It's not the gameplay blowout we're sure many were hoping for, but we do at least now have a meaty story trailer featuring lots of in-game action and cutscenes. It's looking pretty dang good.

This is the new game from Rocksteady, the studio that's known for the core Batman: Arkham trilogy. This new trailer sees the group of four villains — Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark — being recruited into Task Force X, a group that must carry out dangerous missions if they want to stay alive. The quartet's mission in this game is to, well, kill the Justice League.

The superheroes appear to be brainwashed or affected in some way, acting aggressively and causing wanton destruction. Additionally, an alien race is invading Earth, which is obviously bad news. All this points to Brainiac being the real antagonist of the story.

The game is still a while away, releasing some time in 2022, but this trailer has us very interested to see more. What do you think? Are you excited for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Do or die in the comments section below.
