@deathaxe I think I'm getting one but it is a bold choice by Sony. They can't rely on making money back (if this sells at a loss) by having it shift games. This is an extra/add-on. It won't sell any titles to make up costs.

I love the idea of it. I still think it is probably a little expensive but when you think that you are getting a DS5 and a high quality screen, it's probably worth it.
I think there are a lot of games I could play on this on the couch or bed. Could be fun to relax with.

They could have given a few modders a couple of grand to do a good job of this and we'd have been happier than the zero effort cash grab rockstar are now doing.

You sound like you are trying to upsell this insult of a game. If you bought this you are feeding rockstars and triple a gamings greed.

I have no interest in anything Rockstar does from now on. I have no faith that VI will be anything but a polished trd. And with the departure of Benzies? It does not look good. Rockstar will no longer get my money.

@Boxmonkey RDR2 is possibly the most boring gaming experience I have ever had.

I was super excited for this. Not for 50 bucks, even as a remaster. But maybe 35 at most. But this? Rockstar now have almost no way to recover their reputation.

Either get rid of it or allow us to change it to something better. An awake noise rather than the noise from a 90's device.
And give us the control of colours for our stripes. They constantly show it with the blue lights but we get the rubbish white ones. WE WANT THE BLUE!

I hope it has a difficulty level or at least more balance. The first one was brutal, even amongst this sort of game.

Dreams is way to hard to control and too steep a learning curve controls-wise. I bought it week one and after a couple of weeks ditched it. So much potential, such a frustrating control method.

@pukana He gassed due to not taking elevation seriously and by his own admissions it was his fault. Yes, others have high cardio. But those guys are much smaller and lighter. Try keeping your cardio when you weigh 240lbs. I am 240lbs and it ain't easy.

@pukana "after some patches and balancing issues" yeah, didn't wait around that long. Game is fundamentally flawed. Full unarmed combat is far to technical to be worked into a game.
And the stamina issue was shocking. Picking Cain and he gets tired in twenty seconds. Cain had amongst the highest cardio in the entire UFC.

I have no faith in these games. 3 was awful, pro fighters gassing after five punches. 4 was barely better.

FF is totally different now and doesn't even feel like the original series. It's just hack n slash. And this one is super generic and dull. I was so bored with the demo. It's basically a witcher 3 and games of thrones wannabee.

It's dull and unimaginative. The director has literally just tried to make his own version of a witcher/game of thrones hyrbid. The characters are flat, boring and golems. The voice acting sounds like it was from an english drama college. The art design is poor, every armour and weapon is painfullly uninspired. Final Fantasy died a long time ago. This new thing should really be rebranded something else. The last game was the same.

@LifeGirl I've read a dozen stories about his antics. And the other devs on the team having to talk him out of his bad ideas. Like his terrible idea to have a sniper battle in MGS last for real time weeks. Did you ever think that this guy might be an overrated hack and not the god you all worship him to be. He's never made anything great.

This has got to be the farewell. They could have given us a new island by now but after ten years they give us the ability to run without hitting x all day.

People think of him as some sort of god but when you read all the behind the scenes stories it really becomes clear that he has been standing on the shoulders of other, really talented people his whole career and those same people constantly have to push back against his ideas, a ton of which area really awful.

The guy who wrote this is short sighted at best, borderline insulting to gamers and not terribly good at writing. This was a great event to show off a ton of games.

Ps5 makes it feel like futuristic high tech. Ps1 made it feel like a monster was coming alive.

I would much preferred if burning shores was just the introduction to their relationship. It was to forced and too fast. If that kiss had come in the third act of the finale of Horizon 3 it would have had so much more weight. It seems that GG are focusing more on feature creep than story now.

I have no interest in live service stuff.

It looks good. It looks like it's just filled with boss battles. It looks like someone wanted to make a Witcher game and then slapped on some fancy FF stuff. I do like that it's going to be one character moving around rather than dragging three other AI around with me. There is defo too much on screen during combat. The screen is awash with particals and strings. It was getting in the way of seeing what was actually going on.

For everyone saying "Just don't buy them" this is why companies get away with greed. We just ignore it. Let them know, by however method that you dislike this and do not want it.

Well, I guess that's about the end of it for the rest of us scrubs. Remember when you didn't have to pay for every single thing......

Why is every patch and update now as big as games used to be? Heck, some are bigger than old operating systems for pc's.

@pharos_haven Why? It's just more hack n slash. If I wanted that I could play hack n slash. FF games are not FF games anymore. They are something else. Just change the name already.

It lost the feel years ago. Once it moved to hack n slash it stopped being FF games and really was a new franchise.
People can say things have to move on and so on but o, those things are what the franchise was grounded on, and to turn it into devil may dry with spells just stopped it being FF. Add to that, they don't even look different or unique any more. The last few games have been so generic looking that I would never have calledthem FF. Every older FF game had its own unique style, these just look like every other game. I don't think I will ever buy or play an FF game again.

I have so little interest in this.It really looks so generic now that if you released this without the FF name, no-one would ever think it was an FF game. FF used to lead the way, now they simply copy other titles.
At this point they should have rebranded this into a different series a few games ago.

@KaijuKaiser There was waffle talk. And do you take everything literally? That showcase was poor at best. Some okay psvr2 stuff, a bunch of lacklustre titles, an excellent RE4 show and horrible SS platform that not only killed any lingering idea that the game might be good but also ruined rockstars sterling reputation.

RE4 was the only diamond. Seeing Rocksteady turn to greed based development was tough.Just ended their sterling reputation across the entire of gamerdom in one move.

15 minutes of one game in a 45 min show. The only reason its 45 min is because there is nothing to show. 15 min on SS, 20 min on psvr2 and thats it.

45 min and 15 are on one game? yeah, I'll just watch the "highlights" tomorrow.

If there are going to be remakes and remasters, don't pick titles that are only a few years old.
We need dev houses to bring out new things, not keep bringing out new versions of old things.
Every one of us complain about rockstar and yet here is pushsquare asking for yet more old stuff.

Because I am sick of seeing it everywhere like TLAO is the greatest thing ever. Got news, not everyone likes it and wants it plastered all over their main gaming news site. Out of all of my gaming friends, one thinks TALO is a masterpiece, a couple think it is really good, a couple more think it is okay at best and a couple of us think it is pretty poor and overrated. So yeah, when you consider that it is getting tons of coverage on site as if it is universally praised but it really isn't, it gets annoying. Especially when the headlines are "how much did you love episode X" Pretty much just circle jerking and not an acutal review.

Enough about this tv show! Jeez. Gaming site, not a tv review site.

Really looking forward to this. Looks gorgeous and turn based is so much fun. Can't play new FF games that are basically hack n slash with bells now.

I checked it last night and it said 189GB needed to download. WTF? I am not clearing out half my machine to play this.
What is going on with these devs that I need to have 189gb to play one game?

Why would you copy the apple buds. They are awful, sound terrible and are uncomfortable. Just let us use our own. I had a top pair of earbuds that I can't use!
And five hours? Mine last 9 hours.
