I have Played HZD including the expansion frozen wilds.I now understood what happened to the Human Race. From comments I have read on HFW, I have no interest in playing it.It does not seem to forward the Human Race Story any further.Plus I have such a backlog of other interesting Games to play.

Now that the final update for Valhalla has been released , time for me to get it.It's Ideal for my gaming style, as I don't have a lot of time for gaming.Yes it's apparently big , but I usually dive in for a story at a time , complete that, dive out , then back in for the next story arc when i get some more free time.In a nutshell , Just like my play through of the Witcher 3 , one story at a time , it'll probably take me years to complete in between life and other games.

Is it just me , but does the Woman in Mass Effect remind you of Monica from Friends !

Now that it's getting a final resolution in December , I might just pick it up off ebay for my PS4 Pro , or a discount key off the internet for my gaming laptop...just need to decide on which.

As someone who gets motion sickness playing any 1st person game , let alone any VR game , It's solid pass from me.

I Managed to get through and complete Control,except for two of the Boss fights.Tried to go back to both of them after finishing the main game but after dying numerous time , I couldn't be arsed anymore and uninstalled it to move on to my next game in the list.

Replaceable joysticks to stop Drift or just use Hall Effect Joysticks instead...problem solved without over complication.
and yes that price is ludicrous.They seem to be taking tips from Razer and Nvidia with that !

Because Sony want's to make a profit on It's AAA games , just PS5 Sales won't cut it at the moment.With 100 Million PS4 user base , they have a good chance of achieving that.
Give it another couple of years, where the PS5 user base increases and the PS4 user base shrinks, then there will be that tipping point for developers to indentify and go PS5 only !

VR , the Gaming equivelent of 3D on TV's with those glasses...and we all know how that turned out.

You Play a game, Finish the Story , Move on to the next game in an ever increasing Pile.Why would you want to replay a game again when you have already beaten it and understood the story ?
If They put bells and whistles on Witcher 3 , i would not return as i know the stories and how they played out ...now , if they created a new expansion with new stories i would play those.

..am i missing something Here ?

This is Pretty much the mechanics of Black Flag , minus the Assassins element.
Don't get me wrong , I liked Black Flag a lot , but taking out the story element and leaving in just the Pirate Element does not really appeal to me.

With my amount of free time being so limited, i've subscribed to sod all ...to illustrate , I'm around halfway through HZD, and that i got free on Playstation when sony gave it out during the pandemic...
God knows how long it will take me to finished AC Valhalla on that basis.
So any Xbox or Playstation or Ubisoft pass etc would be like chucking money down the drain !

consider this.Time sinks like AS Valhalla for the average player.
How much will this cost just that for the average player playing say10 to 20 hours per week? Based on the subscription Price.
Now how much would it cost for a 2nd hand disk off Ebay ?

111 million PS4 V 19 Million PS5 says that was never going to happen if the games released were ever going to turn a profit.

Sure , when there are probably 30 - 40 million PS5 Sold then the release of PS5 only games become more viable , unless they absolutely screw the Price of PS 5 games to make the figures work...and they would never do that ...would they ?

And yet another example of why it's best to wait a while before purchasing any game , on any platform, at the moment.

Perhaps someone needs to make a game for playstation where you just go around collecting trophies, just for those OCD ing on trophy collecting.
If you collect all the Platinum trophies in the game , then you get a platinum trophy.

I've got a Gaming Laptop and a PS4 Pro.
A lot of people have a foot in both camps , so on the whole this will not affect many.
Sony just needs to do what it does at the moment . Make really good exclusive games and they will be fine.
They were never going to be the size of Microsoft , so it would be crazy to try and compete on studio acquisitions alone.

Err , No. I get motion sickness just from first person games with the head bobbing switched on ,not so much with head bobbing off, so no chance on anything VR related.

I had a moment yesterday when i could have got a new Playstation 5 , from a retailer , at RRP , with no bundle required.....and I finally had that Epipheny , and I didn't go for it.
The thing is , whilst hovering over the buy button , i rapidly went through the Pro's and Con's in my mind, something i hadn't bothered to do before, as this was the first time i'd actually had a chance to get one.

Apart from one or two exclusive PS5 Games and a bit better performance that my PS4 Pro ( which is less ugly and a lot smaller) , I could not justify getting it based on the fact i also play on a Razer Gaming Laptop , and some of those old PS4 exclusives are also coming to PC next year, that i still haven't played.

Add to that ,in the next year a lot of the new releases will also be coming to the PS4.

Funny how that one incident has finally left me relaxed over not getting one for now....in the future this may change , but not now.

I can sort of understand. Got to the very end of A Plague Tale Innocence. After more than a few goes of dodging rats and trying to land the killer blow on the Bishop , I gave up with a " You Know what, I can't be arsed " comment . Went to You Tube watched the ending on there and then uninstalled it. Watching the ending finished the story for me . Trouble is I've to many games to play , and to little time.

Wonder if they have costumes for John Steed and Emma Peel.

Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut is currently up at £34.99 on Amazon UK Black Friday deals. Factor in the current trade in price to CEX once you have finished it at £21.00 . That gives you a figure of £13.99 to play the game through. Bit different to the Digital deal on the Sony Store for us trying to play on a budget.

Physical Disk economics right there at the moment.
