Re: Theme Park Attractions Spice Up Disney Dreamlight Valley on PS5, PS4 This Week

ItsBritneyB_tch

@Matroska I believe so. You can purchase Pumpkin seeds from the stall in the Forgotten Lands for 275 gold each. A harvested Pumpkin sells for 664 gold (a profit of 389 gold per Pumpkin).

Harvesting 100 Pumpkins and selling them will earn you a profit of 38,900 gold. You can double that if you hang out with a companion with the gardening ability and make sure to harvest the bonus pumpkin spots when they appear.

I have a plot of 625 Pumpkins and I make a profit of 500k gold each time.

You can increase the amount of profit even more if you cook 3x Pumpkins and 1x Coal at a cooking station (then sell the meal) but it’s time consuming so I don’t bother doing that anymore.

I have 4.5 Million gold atm so I haven’t had to do a harvest in ages. But my plot is full of Pumpkins so the plot doesn’t disappear.

Re: Rumour: Sony's Big PS5 Showcase to Take Place in Approximately Two Months

‘All’ I want is:

  • Astro’s Playroom 2 (not exclusive to PSVR2)
  • Dino Crisis remake
  • inFamous remake (or new inFamous game)
  • new Sly Cooper game
  • new Ghost of Tsushima game
  • new Ratchet & Clank
  • Sackboy 2
  • loads of new IP’s
  • Days Gone 2 is being made after all 😂

I can’t even think of anything else.

We probably won’t get anything new from Santa Monica for a few years and I couldn’t be less interested in what Naughty Dog are doing (unless it’s unrelated to TLoU or Uncharted).

Who else is there?

Guerrilla - probably making Horizon games for the next 10 years.

We already know what Insomniac are working on, which is fine.

Media Molecule - still living in a dreamworld.

I’m interested to know what Bluepoint games are working on - their track record has been very good.

Sony Bend are working on something with MP elements so that’s already a write-off for me.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Resident Evil 4 Remake?

ItsBritneyB_tch

@Jake3103 I don’t see the ‘dated design’ as a bad thing. Devs were limited by the power of the consoles available at the time, which forced them to be more creative. I prefer the the linear style because you know where you stand and the rules of the game are easy to follow and understand. Modern games have a tendency to make everything overly complicated because they can, which can be frustrating.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Resident Evil 4 Remake?

ItsBritneyB_tch

@DETfaninATL before I played either remake I would have thought I’d prefer Dead Space but RE4 is the better of the two. Dead Space is still top tier but the respawning enemies made it too tense and I just wanted it to be over by the end. RE4 gets the balance just right. It’s tense in places but it knows when to let the player breathe, which is really important. Constant threat can quickly turn to frustration. IMO anyway.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Resident Evil 4 Remake?

ItsBritneyB_tch

Rare that I would give any game a 10 but this is a 10.

I’ve always thought of RE4 as one of my favourite entries in the RE mainline (even though I couldn’t remember most of it) but playing this remake reminded me that it’s actually my number one.

I also realised how much inspiration RE Village took from RE4. They have a very similar structure (Village > Castle > Industrial). My biggest issue with RE Village was that it was in too much of a hurry to get to the next area. RE4 takes its time and is all the better for it.

I think I was in the mine area (where you ride the mine cart) and I remember thinking, ‘this game is so good!’ It has so many crazy moments that shouldn’t work but they do. It’s every bit the masterpiece people say it is.

All we need now is a remake of CVX and the Original 😁

Re: PSVR2 Sales Off to a 'Slow Start', New Report Claims

ItsBritneyB_tch

I’d like to try PSVR2 but I’m not going to buy one.

I bought the PSVR1 and it was fun to use it for the first few times but it was such a PITA to set up. And the wires… two wires going to the move controllers (which always seemed to need charging), wires from the headphones, a wire going to the headset, wires going from the tv to the little PSVR box to the PS4 Pro. I was so glad when I packed it all away and put it in the loft (where it’s been for 2-3 years now).

I know they’ve fixed a lot of the issues/shortcomings with the new headset but I’m just not that interested.

Re: Tchia PS5 Patch Adds 60fps Support

ItsBritneyB_tch

@bindiana this is my method too. Also, if you soul-jump into a gas can, you can bounce across the map much quicker than on foot (and the gas can stays put when you jump out). Just grab the collectible, soul-jump back into the gas can, then bounce to the next one and repeat.

Re: Tchia PS5 Patch Adds 60fps Support

Took a break from Tchia to play RE4 but will return to it and finish off the platinum this week.

First impressions were: ‘this is going to be awful’ but it quickly won me over with its charm and I’ve actually enjoyed it quite a lot overall.

The Totem Shrine mini-challenges have been my favourite part but honestly, just exploring and collecting everything has been really fun. It kinda reminds me of a lighter/more colourful version of Stranded Deep, without the survival or building aspects.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Resident Evil 4 Remake?

ItsBritneyB_tch

@Broosh you CAN repurchase sold weapons 😫 I can’t believe I’ve struggled for 2/3 of the game using those flimsy boot knives. I just repurchased the Combat Knife and fully upgraded it and I’m killing those insect enemies with one stab. Game changer! Thanks again for the heads-up 👍

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Resident Evil 4 Remake?

ItsBritneyB_tch

@KaijuKaiser I think some people are anti-remakes and didn’t think RE4 needed to be remade. But I couldn’t disagree with them more. It’s given the game new lease of life. People who didn’t play the original can now experience this amazing game, which has been updated/improved for modern audiences. And people who did play the original can revisit this masterpiece and appreciate the huge improvements.

Re: Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Gameplay Image Leaks Online

ItsBritneyB_tch

@Grimwood it’s good, you should give it a chance. Just forget about how it’s one of the highest grossing movies. The actual lore and world building is excellent. I didn’t think it was as good as the first movie (because James Horners soundtrack really elevated the first movie and his absence was felt in the second) but it’s still good.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Resident Evil 4 Remake?

ItsBritneyB_tch

@Uromastryx @BrotherFilmriss Damn, it must only apply to the starting Knife (Combat Knife). I stored mine when it was almost completely worn and then sold it for 5,000 pts 😫 I’ve just been using the knives you find around the levels but they wear down really fast. Good to know though for my next playthrough.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Resident Evil 4 Remake?

ItsBritneyB_tch

@edwinjoe450 I’m playing on Assisted (🐓) and it feels like Normal difficulty. I don’t think I could do a Hardcore or Professional run without the bonus weapons. It’s been years since I played the original but the remake feels way more difficult than I remember. There was a part in the Castle where I was mobbed by 10+ enemies. I don’t remember there being as many enemies in the original but I could be wrong.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Resident Evil 4 Remake?

ItsBritneyB_tch

Yes. I’ve played the original so many times but playing the remake is like playing a brand new game because I hardly remember any of it. Except the Verdugo… as soon as I read ‘liquid nitrogen’ I knew what was coming 😫. The game is brilliant so far. I loved the reworked Ashley sections. Plus, you’re not constantly being pursued which already makes it my new favourite REmake.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 469

ItsBritneyB_tch

I completed Dead Space Remake and loved every tense second of it. It was way more tense than I remember it being.

I also tried Tchia and after a shaky start, Im actually enjoying it quite a bit now. I’ve mostly been flying around the island gathering the million collectibles. It’s a good ‘chill’ game and it’s nice to see some bright colours after Dead Space 😁

Finally, RE4 Remake arrived this morning and I’m about to start my first playthrough. It must be 15 years since I played the original so I’m looking forward to seeing what I remember.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 468

ItsBritneyB_tch

Sonic Frontiers - the first Sonic game I’ve ever completed and enjoyed. I’ve always found Sonic games a bit boring (too samey) but the open-world style in Frontiers is genius. Keeping the classic style Sonic levels behind (optional) portals on each map meant they were a welcome detour, rather than a repetitive chore to play. I managed to get the platinum in around 17 hours and was left wanting more of this Sonic. Brilliant game.

Dead Space Remake - currently on level 8 and it’s amazing so far. I forgot just how good this game was tbh.

Re: Massive Ghostwire: Tokyo Update Drops After PS Plus Extra Debut

ItsBritneyB_tch

I really enjoyed this game. The atmosphere throughout is incredible. Exploring the the deserted streets in the heavy rain was so eerie and tense (and unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in any other game). It’s one of my favourite games from the last few years.

One thing I did change immediately was the default language (from Japanese to English). I think you could only do this from the main menu - you couldn’t change it from the in-game settings.

It pained me to do it honestly because I love hearing the Japanese-speaking voice actors but I couldn’t concentrate on playing the game and reading the subtitles at the same time - especially when you’re mid-fight. I found it too distracting. The English-speaking voice actors were very good though.
