I was a bit disappointed when I heard they were adding Vanellope over some of the more well known characters. But I watched the Wreck it Ralph movies this week (in anticipation of the update) and really enjoyed them. I’m looking forward to the update a lot more now.

We really need more villains though. I hope to see Maleficent, Cruella, Jafar and Hades added at some point. The Nightmare Before Christmas characters in the Halloween update would be amazing too.

Strangely, I’m not interested in any of them.

My next big game will be AC: Mirage, then Spider-Man 2.

The next five months are looking pretty barren on the gaming front for me. Thank god for live service games - new season of Fortnite on 9th June and then there’s the new update for Dreamlight Valley in ‘early June’.

Already own JWE2 but I really wanted Trek to Yomi. Good month.

I wish they had a team working on a new Ratchet & Clank game.

I’ve played them all to date but would quite happily play a new one every year and never get bored.

It will get a physical release when it doesn’t meet sales expectations. Just have to be patient.

I hope Deliver Us Mars is in the sale.

Bumblebee and Megatron are a must.

I thought Miles Morales was better than the first game but my favourite Spider-Man game is still Shattered Dimensions. I’m really looking forward to Spider-Man 2 though.

Still chipping away at Humanity and it’s already one of my favourite games this year. It reminds me of those old PS1 games like Kula World and Intelligent Qube. It’s really fun/addictive trying to clear each stage without cheating (YouTube). Really enjoying it. And it was ‘free’ with PS+ Extra 😁

@KaijuKaiser I’m not anti live service games - I already play Fortnite (and have done for years). I played Fall Guys and Mutliversus for a while but have abandoned them now. People who like live service games aren’t looking for a new live service game if the one they’re heavily invested in is still entertaining. Fortnite already fills that position for me and I can’t see it changing any time soon. Live service games are time consuming so it’s hard to be invested in more than one at a time, especially if you’re juggling your gaming time with SP games too. There just isn’t enough time to play everything. My problem with Sony is that they just aren’t innovative anymore. They make safe games and chase trends.

I’m just not interested in this Factions thing at all. Always felt like a waste of a good studio. At least ND are working on a SP game too but it’s probably TLoU3 sadly 🥱. It’s all very safe at Sony HQ lately.

They should just bundle it with TLoU3 at this point. ND were a great studio once but they’ve really become quite boring in the last few years.

Is it weird that I’m still kinda interested in playing it?

I’ll probably wait for a patch or two but I’ll definitely play it at some point.

@STOBO I honestly don’t mind crunch at all. I would work 24/7 on a project I was passionate about as long as I was getting paid for it. I know not everyone can do that but if it’s not expected of everyone, I don’t see a problem with crunch. Having everyone limited to working their contracted hours and not a minute more is annoying tbh.

I thought it looked interesting but I won’t buy it if it’s digital only. I’ll wait until it’s £4.99 in a sale or when it comes to PS+.

I didn’t allow myself to get caught up in the hype but even I found it a bit average. No surprises at all really. Spider-Man should have been shown earlier in the showcase with a surprise reveal at the end. We all knew Spider-Man would be shown so it was like, ‘last game, oh it’s Spider-Man’. I am looking forward to Spider-Man but I’ve been looking forward to it for months already, I wanted to see what comes after.

I want to play it just for the Queen songs. Never played Beat Sabre before.

This was one of the games I thought looked interesting. The art style is gorgeous.

I’ve really missed old Assassins Creed. I was burnt out on the new style AC after Valhalla (the only entry I haven’t bothered with the dlc). I hope Mirage captures the magic of the old AC games.

At first I was like, ugh, but the 3D elements look great. I’ll keep an eye on this one.

I miss the old, colourful action-adventure platformers like Sly, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter. Wish Sony would make something like that again. Astro’s Playroom was such a breath of fresh air (and one of my favourite PS5 games). It captured the magic of those other games but Sony just don’t seem interested in making them.

@theMEGAniggle I lost connection twice and I have really good broadband. It happens every time. I missed most of the Assassins Creed trailer.

I’m not a fan of the format of showing trailer after trailer without any presenter in between. It feels really impersonal.

I thought it was ok. Some games looked interesting but I was mostly just waiting to see more of Spider-Man 2, which looks amazing. But other than that it was just alright 🤷‍♂️

I’m optimistic this will be good but I really hope they create characters that speak and behave like real human beings this time.

Wish they would remake the 2008 PoP game (or remaster it at least). That game was so good.

Struggling to remember the PS4/PS5 startup sounds and I only logged into my PS5 20 minutes ago.

I hope they let you switch between Peter Parker and Spider-Man at will, like they did in one of the DLC’s. Also, vehicles - maybe the Pizza Delivery bike that Peter Parker used? Plus, a wing suit, so you can glide rather than swing (like Just Cause). And finally, being able to visit the Statue of Liberty.

@Marquez I wasn’t crazy about the story at first but the last hour or so is amazing. I wish I had focused on completing the story first and done all the side stuff last.

@trev666 I agree. ZD was amazing. I couldn’t stop thinking about the story for weeks after. FW left me cold.

Nice. I still haven’t finished the main story (took a break to play Jedi Survivor) but I only have the final mission left to do I think. I’ve already completed all the side content. I thought the dlc was good but not outstanding. I’m sure Guerrilla and Sony are pleased with these numbers though.

I must be one of the lucky ones because I haven’t had any issues other than one crash but that happens with every game.

It’s a decent game but not as good or iconic as the first. The pacing was all over the place.

I’m not like, ‘down with the monarchy!’ or anything but it isn’t the same since the Queen passed away. I was going to try and watch a bit of the coronation but I was looking after my two Nephews this weekend, so that went out of the window. We went to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 3 instead (amazing btw) and spent two hours at Total Ninja. Oh and lots of Fortnite. The new Star Wars collab is brilliant.
