The UK's latest physical games chart features almost exactly the same set of games in its top 10 as the previous week.
This doesn't come as some huge shock, as things typically stagnate a little after the holiday season and before big new releases start to drop.
The only new addition to the top 10 is Mortal Kombat 1, which moves from 12th to 10th place, selling 95 per cent of copies on PS5. Must've been a sale on.
EA Sports FC 25 reclaims the top spot, followed by Hogwarts Legacy moving down to second, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in third. This impenetrable trio is chased by Elden Ring in fourth, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate in fifth, and Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition in number six. A clutch of Nintendo titles rounds things out.
Here's the latest physical top 10 in full.
UK Sales Charts: Week Ending 11th January, 2025
- EA Sports FC 25
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
- Elden Ring
- Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
- Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Super Mario Party Jamboree
- Nintendo Switch Sports
- Mortal Kombat 1

Really good to see Cyberpunk keeping up with the usual mob, it is a great game and I am glad it has got it's flowers eventually despite the poor launch, brilliant game.
Would be nice to see Astro bot in the top ten. Come on uk do better lol.
Enjoy seeing Hogwarts Legacy still going strong. Hopefully can allow some real big funds to go into the sequel and give it some proper quality of life upgrades to improve on the original.
@Mostik The reality is CDPR made massive profits on day 1 regardless of the poor state at launch. But obviously good to see them regain some public goodwill with all the work they put in.
Though it's worth noting that it's much easier to commit to several years of updates with hundreds of millions of profits already in the bank, similar position to No Man's Sky. Most games and developers aren't so fortunate.
I said it before, but the fact that Mario Kart 8 is always in the top 10, does really prove that Physical games just aren't the thing anymore.
@Americansamurai1 majority of non-Nintendo games in the top 10 had significant discounts (Amazon were also selling them for >75% for some of the older titles) or were popular already (CoD did have a discoutn, but its always placed highly), Astro Bot in comparison was full price. This list is basically "what were the most popular sale discounts this week?"
I confess to getting MK1 in that sale. Only to then discover there’s unlikely to be any more DLC stuffs….
@DarkTron make sense, really hope Astro bot sales great for a sequel
@Americansamurai1 There's still stock issues like Amazon UK currently only has 2 copies left and most Smyths stores are completely out of stock.
@themightyant Very true mate, even with all the refunds they were still in the black. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish (before all the patches).
It is a shame when good games don't get the support they deserve, I think the support from CDPR has been excellent even in the face of all the abuse they got when it first launched!
As a Mortal Kombat fan I'm thrilled to see two different entries both in the top ten. I hope it's enough to convince WB to keep investing in the franchise but painful enough to get them to ease up on the awful mountain of MK1
Hogwarts Legacy at #2 two years after its release is mental!
MK11 is better than MK1. Even the MK11 Story DLC is better than MK1 story DLC. Plus the ridiculous of charging for Fatalities in MK1🙄🤑
@Can-You-Believe-Sith I would say mkx is better than both but mk9 is still king. They should just remaster mk9
Just how is Hogwarts Legacy still in the top 10?
