inFAMOUS: Second Son

Sucker Punch may have successfully re-stoked the embers regarding its upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive inFAMOUS: Second Son at the Taipei Game Show last week, but with the superhero excursion now mere weeks away, the Sony subsidiary is starting to look to the future, too. A trio of job listings posted to the Seattle-based studio’s official website earlier in the week mention that it’s working on an unannounced project in addition to the abovementioned sequel, although specifics remain tightly under wraps.

All of the advertisements – for a Gameplay Programmer, Senior Programmer, and Rendering Programmer – hint at the unnamed title, but fail to really elaborate on what it could be. The roles each state that the company is committed to producing “innovative and fun” content and stress that it’s looking for candidates with “commercial programming experience”. That rules us out, then. Interestingly, an interview slip up at GamesCom last year saw creative director Nate Fox unwittingly indicate that an inFAMOUS spin-off could be in production for the PlayStation Vita.

Whether these job listings are related to that or something else entirely remains unclear, and is likely to stay that way until the developer's hotly anticipated next-gen debut deploys next month. In the meantime, though, there’s nothing wrong with a spot of speculation, so feel free to list your theories regarding this upcoming project in the comments section below.
