@Flaming_Kaiser yes, very true - and the mediocre reviews will never get updated no matter how good a patch you release. Same for switchback. Same for hellsweeper.
Oh well, vertigo 2 next and Polish Paul was hinting big time that it’s swesome 😀😀😀
As others have said, I”m sure they will update the psvr2 version now they’ve got the base version out on all formats so I’ll wait a bit longer. Looks fun though. 😀
@Dobbos @Pat84 @BearFut_1800 @Gator_Rican just found out that if you refresh licences under ps5 settings then the demo works. Well, it did for me anyway. 👍
@thefourfoldroot1 To be honest, I just ignore Pushsquare when it comes to VR now. There are so many better informed reviewers on YouTube - PSVR2 without parole, polish paul, gamertagvr; beardo benjo, etc.
I like this site for its articles and flat game reviews but their coverage of vr is so patchy and their views are often so out of date.
@Gooseman42 @Art_Vandelay Don’t worry - in a month or so in the run up to Xmas, Aaron will suddenly be a believer and will no doubt do another PSVR2 top 10 games video on the pushsquare YouTube channel 🤣🤣
(Although it seems he’ll only have 2 games in his top 10 🤣🤣)
“Ask anyone that has a PSVR2 and they’ll likely tell you that the tech is great, but the library is lacking.”
🤣🤣🤣 you only need to read your own comments section to see how out of touch this very cliched view is!
Apart from the 2 games you mentioned, you conveniently forgot some big hitters like red matter 2, synapse, GT7, horizon, moss 1 & 2, etc. Coming up shortly we have journey to foundation, vertigo 2, re4, bullet storm, etc. I already have an 8 game backlog as I’m not lucky enough to get to play games all day as a job.
To trot out the same predictable “there aren’t any games” trope is just lazy. Although I do wonder whether Pushsquare do it on purpose re PSVR2 to get more comments.
I would admit though that it would be great for Sony to announce some big first party games - think we all want that
Erm, I think PushSquare is a bit behind here. As others have said, early VR reviews have already said the developer has released this in very poor quality and to avoid this until it gets patched / the game is improved.
Bit worrying when the readers know more than the news site!! 🤣🤣
And this after the announcement that the first Red Matter is coming to PSVR2 as well. 😀
I know some people will say they should be focusing on new games (which is a fair point) but personally I’m really pleased we’re seeing more psvr1 upgrades as there are so many I never got to.
Hopefully they’ll announce some of the big boys soon - Astrobot, farpoint, hitman, Skyrim, borderlands, Star Wars squadrons, iron man, etc
But this can’t be right! Phil is such a lovely guy and only cares about gamers and spreading games to one and all. He rescues small kittens from trees and helps old ladies cross the road for goodness sake….. 😜😜😜
@SgtTruth No dust on my PSVR2 (GT7 alone is ensuring that) but totally agree on really wanting a big long adventure experience now - Skyrim, Fallout, Borderlands, anything like that.
Surely PSVR2 isn’t going to be the only platform in the universe that they don’t re-release Skyrim on!! 🤣🤣🤣
I’m also hoping for more psvr1 to psvr2 conversions - some great games there that I never got around to so would be awesome to get a chance to play them on a great headset
Ha ha - saw the sub heading of this review and knew all the Negative Nancies would be rushing out to wave their flags of cheerfulness! And yep, there they all are 🤣🤣🤣
Shame about this game - hope it gets as good a patch as No Mans Sky just got - that’s meant to beat some PCs now for clarity
It’s too expensive, it’s niche, it’s a gimmick, doomed to fail, ps vita, no games, quest 1 2 3 all better, pc vr rocks, cord is awful, it ate my hamster 🐹 etc etc
Pleased to see most people just ignore those comments now. Stopped bothering me ages ago.
Although I still wonder what drives these people to flock to a psvr2 article when they clearly don’t like psvr2 (which is also fair enough). But hey, if they’re that bored…..
@EnragedGibbon And the good news is you have two pixel ripped games to play now - pixel ripped 1978 and they’ve just announced pixel ripped 1995 as well
This looks truly amazing!! Very excited to have two great sci fi adventures release on psvr2 so close together.
Might have to wait a bit though as my backlog is really growing (nice problem to have!). And another 14 or so games have been announced over last couple of days!!
Glad this is reviewing well - but given they are only supporting pc vr and not psvr2, I’ll pass for now (that’s the problem when GT7 spoils you with amazing VR racing - you can’t go back!!! 🤣 Well, at least I can’t anyway….)
All the hands on previews that hit yesterday on YouTube, etc have been really singing the praises of this game big time - it’s definitely now gone up considerably on my want list.
Everyone from euro gamer, gamer tag, psvr2 without parole and even PSU put up glowing previews yesterday. Fingers crossed on this one!
Ps I’m guessing pushsquare didn’t get sent the preview?
Great to hear the views of all the Pushsquare team rather than one individual 👍
Aaron - how on earth have you found time to finish all the current VR games??? I’ve already got a backlog. Please could you share your negotiation tactics with other half / wife as I clearly have a lot to learn! 😜
Liam - Dead in the water after 3 months? Really? (Cue Monty Python singing Always Look On The Bright Side of Life…..😜) No offence but I think that’s an incredibly negative take - but hey, good to have a range of views I guess.
Sammy / Stephen - Spot on in my opinion! Couldn’t agree more. Am reasonably optimistic about the PSVR2 launch to date (some people expecting waaayyyy too much).
But also agree there are definitely some worries:- 1) No roadmap / lack of Sony first party announcements 2) Fewer PSVR1 conversions than expected (this has got to be an easy win???) 3) Couple of recent disappointments haven’t helped - showcase and F1 23 specifically
There will always be PSVR2 haters or Quest is Better proposers but if we get a few big announcements in next few months then all will be good with the world and hopefully we can stop having this debate 😊
Definitely physical copy for me (and my internet is perfectly fine thanks! 🤣)
I can see why people go digital only but I 100% prefer physical - both from a collector perspective (for best ones) and a resell / lend to friends perspective
Great news!! Very exciting that they are focusing on ps5 and psvr2!
Hoping for some great announcements for psvr2 (please any of hitman 3, astrobot, farpoint, Star Wars squadrons, iron man, half life Alyx, Skyrim, blood and truth - ah, stuff it, all of them please Sony! 🤣)
Totally agree with the sentiment of this article but some of the listed games seem a bit random - arca’s path??? Really??? And I personally thought The Lost Bear was rubbish (despite getting it half price)!
As others have said, some rather obvious gaps in this list - farpoint, hitman 3, iron man and Star Wars squadrons to name the stand out ones
@NathanKang yes of course - totally agree - but for some reason there seems to be a lot of people that seem to want the psvr2 to fail (which I still don’t understand) so the odd bad game is fine but we don’t want a whole load of 3/10 releases. Although I’ve got to the point where I think I’ll just play my vr games and ignore the media 🤣🤣🤣
I love the psvr2 and think there are some great games for launch but Sony really need to avoid a flood of shovelware like this sort of game as there’s a danger it will drag the psvr2 down with it
@GrimReaper “seemingly almost all have review scores from 3 to 7” - hmmm, think you may need to count again / try harder. Push Square has already given 12 psvr2 games scores of between 8 and 10 - search for their all psvr2 review scores article
What a hugely disappointing article - I really didn’t expect this site to jump on the “let’s kick psvr2 when it’s only just flipping launched” bandwagon. I’ve unsubscribed from the YouTube channel in protest!!

3) I put my lights on full and even got brighter light bulbs - I think my old ones were too dim as it’s a big living room.
4) when I rescanned my play space, I took a loooong time to look at every nook and cranny as think I was too quick previously
I suspect 2 and 3 were the game changers but thought I’d list them all as what do I know!!! It’s soooo much better now. Hope it works for you.

@Ichiban Oh please. You moan about people accusing you of being an Xbox fanboy and then put a ridiculously childish comment like that? Really?

Re: Mini Review: Arashi: Castles of Sin Final Cut (PSVR2) - Solid VR Swordfighter Is Rough Around the Edges
Yeah, think this is a very fair review and reflects what some of the VR specific sites are saying.
Feels very lazy by the devs but let’s hope I’m wrong and it was due to deadlines (or something) and some major patches are in the works
Hoping RE4 and Vertigo 2 are going to end the year with a bang

Security, performance, stability, messaging AND usability…….it is most definitely Xmas!!! 🎅 🎄 🤶 🎄 🎅 🎄 😀

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for December 2023?
This selection was a real divide based on last article but my 7 year old boy is super excited for Lego 2k drive! So it’s a winner for me!
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for December 2023 Announced
Kids will love Lego 2k Drive - thats a great family game for the Xmas period (although I will just check password protection is on for purchases 🤣🤣)
Re: Xmas in Kayak VR: Mirage Is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Fab - will definitely give this a look. The family will love this!! 😄🎅
Re: Anticipated PSVR2 Shooter Vertigo 2 Finally Arrives in December
@hotgoomba 🤣🤣 it’s the same 3 comments over and over and over again - psvr2 doa / price too high / quest and pcvr is better.
He seems to spend more time putting negative comments on psvr2 articles than playing on his beloved quest
Re: Anticipated PSVR2 Shooter Vertigo 2 Finally Arrives in December
Let the Negative Nancys drone on all they want about DOA, quest this and that, blah blah blah.
Im really looking forward to this game in December 😀
Then bulletstorm in January
And the newly announced Arken Age looks pretty awesome too.
Re: PS Plus Gets Heavy Discounts for Black Friday
@liathach yes, that’s exactly what I was thinking - no discount at all if you just want to extend what you already have by 12 months ☹️☹️☹️

Re: Preview: Alan Wake 2 Will Be an Investigative Dream
You’ve got me interested in this now Liam!
Hopefully might mean Alan Wake 1 is included in ps plus essential in run up to October.
As per comment above though, I’d much prefer it on a disc (nothing against the digital only people but I just like collecting my games)

Re: PSVR2 Sales at 600,000 Six Weeks After Launch, Sony Confirms
Personally I think that’s a pretty good start in terms of sales given the “soft launch” nature.
Wonder how many of those media sites that were desperately quick to repeat the Bloomberg negative article will also repeat this more positive one…….
And I’m sure Bloomberg itself will be issuing an apology any time now 🤣🤣
Re: GTA 6 Publisher Is Anticipating a PS5 Pro

Like others above, will I be cross at myself but buy it anyway? Yes
So I guess that’s why they’ll probably release one

Re: Poll: We Want You to Rate Your Favourite PSVR2 Games
@naruball yes! I was getting the same thing on every lap of gt7 - it was driving me crazy!!! I have a white living room and the tv is in the corner - both things are rumoured to cause problems.
After lots of digging in various sites, I did the following things and it’s pretty much sorted now;-
1) under system / accessories / psvr2 I did the tracking camera calibration
2) under same settings I turned on tracking support (at bottom of screen under other) - that’s what puts the border round your tv
3) I put my lights on full and even got brighter light bulbs - I think my old ones were too dim as it’s a big living room.
4) when I rescanned my play space, I took a loooong time to look at every nook and cranny as think I was too quick previously
