Re: All PSVR2 Games Reviews

Hamst88

As per above comment, I think the drawback of drafting in a load of different people to get the vr reviews done quickly (which is a great effort) is that the scores are a bit all over the place.

Startenders same score as horizon?

Cosmonious high (old school teleport only) same score as resident village (which isn’t on this summary list) and also higher than horizon?

Star Wars less than tentacular?

Reviews are of course totally subjective but some of the above don’t seem right to me personally

Re: Mini Review: Kayak VR: Mirage (PSVR2) - An Immersive Yet Thin Experience

Hamst88

Think this is a pretty fair review - I’m loving this game/experience and spending lots of my early psvr2 time just enjoying this amazing visual vr experience.

My two boys just love seeing the whales and turtles and it’s definitely one I’ll be showing my friends to show off psvr2.

However, if I had to be truly objective it is pretty limited in terms of content - I think they have said they are planning to add more though. So fingers crossed!

Definitely worth the price though

Re: Site News: Our Plan for PSVR2 Reviews Through Launch and Beyond

Hamst88

@get2sammyb I’m really interested to know how much the games make use of the new psvr2 features - especially ports / remasters. Or are they just ignored.

For example, Star Wars Tales from Galaxy Edge is one of the most expensive launch games at £40 but despite being a big star wars fan, I’m holding off as it seems from what I’ve read so far, that whilst it’s the best looking version, it’s still a fairly limited quest game.

Re: PSVR2 Review: Is It Worth It?

Hamst88

@get2sammyb thanks for the detailed and balanced review - I’m a big fan of psvr so super excited but think you’ve presented a really balanced view with both pros and cons.

Would it be possible to add a section on sound? Really interested in how well the 3d sound works. Are wired headphones better than wireless ones like the pulse ones (I’m pretty sure you can use wireless ones)? How’s the sound in cinematic mode etc?

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Games for May 2022?

Great to read so many more positive and / or balanced comments for a change. 😀😀 So tired of all the negative moaning on this site.

For the record, I don’t have fifa 22 (only fifa 21) and I’m delighted its in ps plus this month. My cousin is the same. 😀😀😀 So guess that disproves the whole “if you wanted fifa 22 you’d already have it nonsense” (including you pushsquare!). You could say that about any game really

@Gunnerzaurus

“I'll say it one more time to everyone : Not every game has to be for you, and THAT'S OKAY.”

The irony of this is hilarious.

Gunnerzaurus and CynicalGamer, not every person has to play the game the same way that you want to, and THAT’S OKAY.
We’ll still enjoy our experience no matter what you believe. Hope you enjoy the game your way too.

Re: Sifu Updates to Include Difficulty Settings and Accessibility Options

Great news - will definitely give this a go now. 😃

Each to their own opinion but I really can’t understand why my playing on an easier setting spoils it in any way for all those who want to play it on the “hard as nails” setting. Saying it’s altering the games “dna” makes no sense - just play it on the hard setting and enjoy your git gud dna. Meantime I’ll happily play and enjoy the slightly easier “ruined” version 😃

Re: Sifu (PS5) - Kung Fu Brawler Is Brutal But Brilliant

Hamst88

Gutted this isn’t for me - was really looking forward to this as thought looked a really unique take but no difficulty levels / such a hardcore approach means I just don’t have the time for this.
Real shame as this was high on my “want” list. Hope those that do have more free time / are just more hardcore than me, fully enjoy it!

Re: Soapbox: Why Do You Replay Games?

Hamst88

As boring an answer as it may be, with 2 manic little boys I just don’t have the time to replay games - if a platinum requires a full on second play-through then no chance. I get limited game time and I use it to get through as many different games as I can. Now if they’d just make it legal to sell the kids on eBay....

Re: Soapbox: We Were Here, the Free PS4 Game No One Will Play with Me

Hamst88

Loved this game. Played this with my son at weekend in same house but on different PlayStation’s - I don’t have ps plus (he does) but still worked.
Used iPads to chat (walkie talkies didn’t work) and was all great fun - so nice to play something with him that involved a bit of thinking!
We only got halfway but he was on it the next day with his cousin. The cheers when they finally solved a problem beat any recent fortnite match!

Re: Game of the Year: Best PSVR Game of 2020

Hamst88

Huh? Only pure VR games are allowed in the poll? Why on earth is that?

1) The PS4 games poll wasn’t limited to PS4 exclusives only.
2) You’ve automatically excluded one of the best psvr games for ages - Star Wars squadrons.
3) That logic would exclude some of the best VR games over recent years - no mans sky, super hot, RE VII etc

Sorry Liam, does’t make any sense to me.
