Techland has confirmed it has "multiple unannounced" Dying Light titles in development as it today celebrates the 10th anniversary of the zombie franchise. It already has Dying Light: The Beast lined up for the summer months, but beyond that is the "next era" of the series, which features more video games, merch, a webcomic series, and even board games.
"Our goal is to bring the world of Dying Light to even more people," a press release shared. "From the ongoing support of our currently released games to Dying Light: The Beast and beyond, there’s never been a better time to be a Dying Light fan." First released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on 27th January 2015, the first Dying Light game turns 10 today.
The Polish developer is celebrating the occasion with free updates for both the original and Dying Light 2. The former will see a boost to "visual quality", a remastered soundtrack, and more. Meanwhile, the sequel will have the Tower Raid mode become a permanent addition to the game, and more changes will be made to the prologue portion of the experience.

For those looking to get into the series, both entries will be put on sale on the PS Store, with Dying Light 2 discounted to its cheapest ever price. Keep in mind, though, that the game is already available on PS Plus Extra so you may already have access to it without any additional charge.
The latest release, Dying Light 2, was awarded a 7/10 rating in our PS5 review. Having loved its combat, parkour, and fantastic controls, we concluded: "Dying Light 2 is a super solid follow-up to the 2015 original, building upon its fantastic gameplay loop with new traversal options for even more parkour fun. It's extremely disappointing, however, that the narrative and open world promises Techland made in the lead-up to launch haven't been realised."

Loved the first one but the second one was kind of boring.
@Blauwe_Chimay Yeah the second became boring for me as well since it was both story focused and was a bad story. I do appreciate the devs trying to fix it though
Enjoyed both games so happy to have more. They can keep their merch, Web comic and board games though...
Bought the first one day one and played to completion, probably one of my favourite games of recent times. Or what I thought was recent times, can't believe it was ten years ago.
Like most here, loved the first game, didnt gel with the second game.
I had a good time with the first one, currently playing through the second one but I don't feel anything for any of the characters and at this point I'm just trying to finish the story once and move on.
The beast is definitely looking good and will hopefully be better than the DL2.
Good! Have to admit, haven’t played the second one but love the first.
One of my favourite ever IPs. More games the better.
It being 10 years old sort of just reaffirms how little games have changed in the last 10 years.
@Yukairi Yeah hopefully with the Beast it'll be a return to form. They've certainly learned their lesson after DL2
Techland is the reason I'm not too fussed about Tencent buying developers, they leave them alone to do what they want to do and at their own pace.
Really looking forward to what these guys cook up next.
@Nepp67 i kinda liked the story
finished the 2nd one last week really enjoyed it
@Toot1st Probably would have enjoyed it if Aiden wasn't such a boring passive character.
@Nepp67 I found he did they job but not exactly memorable
