Re: Sifu Guide: How to Beat Sifu - Essential Tips for This Brutal Action Game

Daleaf

Started playing few hrs ago, wow this game is really hard, came here hoping for tips lol. Going to try using avoid now, been trying to parry and dash around, done the first level age 24 so that was good 2nd level is bloody hard so far. I think this game could havd done with a good tutorial as its pretty much trial and error. Its a good game but hard, really hard lol.

Re: Dying Light 2 (PS5) - Good Sequel Hurt by Expectation

Daleaf

Still going to pick it up at some point but that will be after horizon, elden and gt7. Shame about thd lack of dualsense support. I am currently just waiting for horizon now, i did just start another farm on stardew valley so hooked on that again now lol, its just one of those games that the hours just fly by anx before you know it its ghe early hours of the morning

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Daleaf

@Rob_230 id probably say you are correct, but at the same time id say for that amount of money maybe they do need to have big games like cod on every platform, and maybe have some exclusive maps/modes for xbox. I play cod ocassionaly always seem to buy it play it for month or so then just get bored. But still this is massive i thought the bethesda one was big but this targets the more casual gamer too who buy fifa and cod so think this may have a bigger impact on sony overall than what the bethesda aquasition did.

Re: PS5 Hardware Has Second Biggest Month in UK on Back of 28% Bounce

Daleaf

@Deljo nope just do the daily rewards and weekly monthly sets, then you get bonus streak points the longer you do. At the moment it takes me a little over a month to do. Sometimes i may have to download a certain game to play then delete it, or do certain things in a game. I would say i put it on for about an hour a week to do the points.

Re: PS5 Hardware Has Second Biggest Month in UK on Back of 28% Bounce

Daleaf

@Titntin haha great minds. Yea forza is great but does get a bit repetative after a bit and fhey literally throw the good cars at you after about 5mins which defeats the progression aspwct for me.

Wellyou did better ghan md with halo i probably played about 3-4 hrs before giving up on it.

Yea if it wasnt for the rewards points i get from doing daily challanges etc to get free gamepass i dont think i would subscribe on a monthly basiz msybe every now and again.
I think playstation just do great exclusives which i enjoy and so far nothing on xbox has really grabbed my attention. Agai hopefully that wkll change in the future.

Re: PS5 Hardware Has Second Biggest Month in UK on Back of 28% Bounce

Daleaf

@KayOL77 i wasnt saying that halo was full of bugs, but that the game in general is just boring. But yea take your point with bethesda games lol i usually wait a bit for them to get updated a little, but in general i havent had many bugs with fallout games, although obviously a lot of ppl did guess i have been lucky.

Re: PS5 Hardware Has Second Biggest Month in UK on Back of 28% Bounce

Daleaf

@Col_McCafferty well i got ps5 and a series s for gamepass as i thought it would be good, never owned a xbox before so thought i would have plenty to play and honestly i rearly even play it, gamepass is way overhyped imo, the only game i have enjoyed is forza, halo was absaloute garbage tried the collection got about halfway through the first and deleted, thought id give the new one a go and same again garbage dont know why ppl think its so good. I do the microsoft rewards everyday to earn points and get my gamepass free havent paid anything other than for the s itself so far. But hopefully will get more use out of it once starfield and elder scrolls release.

Re: Dying Light 2 Will Have Plenty of Gear on PS5, PS4

Daleaf

Definitely getting this at some point but I'm getting horizon first, then once I'm done with that will have a look at the prices for elden ring and this and take it from there. I tend to only play one game at a time I can't jump between games for some reason. So the Feb line up for me is great because otherwise I would probably pick them all up day one if they were not so close to each other, so will save some money lol.

Re: PS Store January Sale Refresh Adds More PS5, PS4 Discounts

Daleaf

@Boucho11 yea first hour or so I was enjoying it then all of a sudden I was like this is boring, will try and give it another shot over the weekend. Cyberpunk I just couldn't get into it at all the characters were bland and was trying to do a mission in stealth but always got spotted even though I wasn't close to anyone lol, and the shooting felt a bit off with it to, I was going to wait for the ps5 version too but thought I'd give it a shot. Guardians though that was great fun I haven't even seen the movies or anything but it was great fun, good story and bosses too. I only tried it first out of the 3 games as I think I wouldn't really get Into it lol.

Re: PS Store January Sale Refresh Adds More PS5, PS4 Discounts

Daleaf

I did grab a few games from the Xmas sale so hopefully I'm good. Bought guardians, far cry and cyberpunk. I was mostly thinking I wouldn't like guardians but loved every minute of it. Have started cyberpunk but couldn't get into it tbh. Then gave far cry a go and same thing just got bored of it after a bit. So going to give them one last go over the weekend and see if any of them click, if not then going to try and find something to keep me going until sifu releases in Feb, then horizon 😁

Re: Game of the Year: Stuart's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2021

Daleaf

@StonyKL yea I did that for a bit but found you had to go up to this triangle thing in one of the rooms and climb a small ladder where it takes you on another trip. I loved the experience I think I actually missed a few things and will definitely be going back to explore it. Love Radiohead it's crazy how they changed their music from the first couple of albums, remember getting the new one when they changed and thought it was awful, then went back to it and something just clicked and I think they are amazing now.

Re: Game of the Year: #9 - Disco Elysium: The Final Cut

Daleaf

Did give it a go a few months back, but couldn't get into it. It does look like a decent game bit think you have to be in a certain mood for it with all the text. Definitely going to try it again at some point now knowing what kind of game it is. Couldn't say if it deserves to be in top 10 as obviously haven't played it in full.

Re: PS Store January Sale Live Now, Here Are the Best PS5, PS4 Deals

Daleaf

@TheArt yea I'm going to go into cyberpunk with zero expectations and hopefully will just enjoy it. Started guardians earlier as that had the lowest download size, I'm actually really enjoying it so far, only watched a bit of the film and didn't get too far into it, but heard a lot of good things about the game so that again was going in with zero expectations and really enjoying it. Thinking once I finish with guardians going to go on to cyberpunk and then far cry after that.

Re: PS Store January Sale Live Now, Here Are the Best PS5, PS4 Deals

Daleaf

@TheArt Yea I currently have far cry and guardians in my cart and am thinking of either hot wheels or cyberpunk leaning more towards cyberpunk at the moment as I know I'll play hot wheels for a bit then probably leave it. So might just chuck in cyberpunk in there too, for 20 I think it's worth a try.

Re: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Voted PS5 Game of the Year on PS Blog

Daleaf

Finished resident evil yesterday it was an ok game, don't think it was my best one enjoyed it but don't think it would have been in my list for top 5 this year tbh. Going to try and give deathloop another go tomorrow maybe but every time I think of putting it on I don't feel like I want to play it, think I just need to sit down for a good few hours with it and take it from there. Well done to ratchet and clank although my personal game of year is returnal. Bring on 2022 though it's going to be a great year for games unless things get delayed of course.

Re: Not Everyone Had the Fortitude to Finish Returnal on PS5

Daleaf

@nessisonett yea I don't know how old you are but I'm with @hypnotoad 10min really conservative, we are so lucky these days, I remember going round to my m8s house playing the spectrum put in the tapes and literally you were lucky if the game actually loaded after that annoying sound trying to load so yea 10min very conservative lol. And no kind of checkpoints at all. But do agree that rougelite games are are designed that way but back in the day you literally had no saves or you had to write down a code lol. Even looking back to PS1 PS2 days it's so weird deleting saves for games to make room on the memory cards lol. I recently played sonic and remember when I was a kid breezing through it, and actually thought it was pretty hard now lol. I just think it's the limitations of the time tbh we now have literally a checkpoint every few mins were as in the early days it was fail start again lol. But as I said it was the times and actually the games were short but because of no checkpoints or saves you pretty much had to finish in one sitting which made the games harder to complete. But I guess there is an argument for both depending on the type of game and I think returnal got it right it was supposed to be played like that. And I do like the story it makes it more interesting when it's open to interpretation in my opinion as people perceive things in a different way so when you talk to someone who played it they might see things differently. Where as if you have a game with a set story with no room for interpretation that's it basically although some might enjoy it more than others.

On topic though I bought returnal thinking ps5 game looks decent but not really my kind of game not much out at the time and ended up putting over a 100 hours in and my game of the year, I can totally understand why some people didn't enjoy it or got bored of it but I thought everything about it was great it ended up being my game of the year, first couple of hrs it was literally what I thought it would be good game but kicked my arse but as soon as everything clicked it was more that was my mistake I need to learn to play it or not try and kill everything quick it's more tactical in what and how you play, I think the light bulb moment for me was how to spend the yellow orbs the space figurine being the go too. But also it just depends on the items that drop which could be annoying sometimes, I thought the first couple of biomes were hard but 3 was ok then I think it was 4 or 5 was the worse I actually found the final biome to be pretty easy compared to the previous ones I think because it was underwater bit made it feel different to the others but yea returnal game of the year fir me. Wow that was a long post sorry lol.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 407

Daleaf

Well I finished work for Xmas yesterday so go two and a bit weeks of 😁. So I have literally just started resi village tried it on release but didn't grab me, so giving it another go. Then once I'm done with that going to give deathloop another go, going to try and finish a few games over the Xmas break.
