Rockstar has reiterated that GTA Online will be free for PlayStation 5 owners to download and play, beginning from its launch on 15th March. You’ll have three months to claim the game and add it to your library. It’s worth pointing out that you will need a PS Plus subscription in order to take advantage of this offer, but you can’t play the mode without it anyway.
To clarify, this is a standalone version of the multiplayer mode, and will not entitle you to the single player campaign, as that will be sold separately. The re-release will feature a new onboarding system called the Career Builder, which will provide you with instant access to a criminal empire of your choice: Biker, Executive, Nightclub Owner, or Gunrunner.
If you’re unsure which to pick, we have a guide on How to Make Money in GTA Online, but we’d probably recommend you pick Executive to be honest. We’ll elaborate on that in future articles, though.
