The Crossbell games are at least playable on modern consoles so surely finishing the Sky trilogy would make the most sense. With Sky 2 and 3 remade you could play the whole series on ps5

I hope there's at least another bundle option for Black Friday, surely a console and a game isn't too hard Sony?

Bioware did also team up with No Man's Sky for N7 day, so you can add the Normandy to your fleet.

Seeing as they got this running on the Switch 1 I'd have appreciated a PS4 version, though that's rather hopeful this late in both the ps4 and ps5 life cycle!

This is basically the same bundle they offered last black Friday so wouldn't be surprised if it was true. And for reference the Ps5 Slim w/Fortnite bundle was $424.99 last year

Though it's stretching it to call it a bundle, some currency and skins for a ftp game, not my cup of tea. Even Nintendo will offer a Mario Kart bundle or something, come on Sony a black Friday Astro Bot bundle for the kids for Christmas please.

It's always a bit strange when a big rpg let's you put so much effort into character creation, then you only occasionally see your character in the odd cutscene.

It seems like a positive but I think the combat might suffer, I don't think the same ai works for both first and third person. Just having more vision in third person probably makes combat easier in that mode. But maybe expert devs know better than me!

Probably disappointing news for Nintendo fans, it would be an ideal game for the handheld format.

I'm selfishly happy because I finally got round to starting this game last week, then saw the news that there was going to be an event, was convinced the 'Royal' edition was going to be announced and thinking I'd wasted money on a now incomplete version.

Quite wild to think it could sell so much even though it won't be available at launch to relatively large sections of the gaming audience (PC, Switch and I guess mobile counts these days too)

I know quite a lot of people would have been hoping for Tales of Abyss to be remastered next, but I'm personally happy with Xillia because it one I haven't played.

Sorry to those hoping for a diffent remaster though!

I'm interested to try Starfield but it seems like a game that no one really talks about except to say it's bad or boring. Like I couldn't name a single character in the game, there's not even any memes about them like you'd expect from any other Bethesda RPG. Even the ones I haven't played I've heard things about, but Starfield...not a peep.

It'll certainly be interesting to see if this kind of game can command the mass market appeal it used to. I'm interested in a big more serious FPS game, hopefully plenty of others will too, but maybe fortnite/COD etc are such big live service behemoths that there isn't room for any more.

I'm hoping for the Xillia games, on the purely selfish basis that I haven't played them. I think it'll be Abyss because that seems to have the most people clamouring for it.

I suspect the KOTOR remake (by Sabre?) means that the PlayStation distribution rights for KOTOR are with them, or something weird like that.

I really enjoyed Daybreak 1 so will definitely be getting this even despite the slightly iffy review. The characters have always been the main selling point of Trails games for me so I think I'll enjoy it more than others may.

I'd be somewhat surprised if Capcom were not working on getting this running on the new Switch 2, which will require a lot of optimisations which may also be filtering through for the platforms that don't require thme as much.

I would be very surprised if Capcom wasn't planning to also release this on the Switch's successor. So to see it performing poorly on ps5 is pretty wild.

With Atlus JRPG's you're better off waiting a year after release when they make the definitive version which includes the DLC which actually ends the story properly. So it not being advertised for ps5 is no bad thing for patient gamers

Needing a PS Plus subscription to play this also seems a bit unfair. Like with Helldivers 2, when PC players don't have to pay for online then why should Playstation users?

I'm going to go for a bizarre prediction: Sometime soon a game developer will use AI to create background environments in their game, unbeknownst to them the AI creates a small obscene image which isn't noticed in quality control. Then they get in hot water with ratings boards etc.

Spend billions on acquiring game studios based on a "verbal agreement" that the Saudis will invest 2 billion into your company. Saudis don't invest, hundreds if not thousands of people lose their jobs due to corporate incompetence, rich corporate leaders unaffected. What a grim world.

Sales for games were always going to go down on Xbox with the huge push towards Gamepass. If third parties stop getting good fees for their games to be available on Xbox Gamepass then things will be bad for Xbox as a hardware manufacturer. But Gamepass itself will live on.

It's quite a wild title for the article "Hasbro threatens to make more D&D games". Why is that a threat? They might even make some good ones.

Obviously Hasbro and WOTC are not popular companies, but neither is EA or Ubisoft but we don't go around saying they're threatening to make games.

Seeing as Palworld sold so many copies on the back of being 'pokemon with guns' we can expect many studios to try getting people hyped for a game based on a jokey/meme concept.

Don't know why everyone seems to highlight Spiderman 2 as everything that is wrong with the current gaming landscape. Yes, it was very expensive to produce but it also made a huge profit. And it will come to PC in the future anyway, where it will also make more money.

The only problem is if your spending 200 million on making your game and it's not as good or marketable as Spiderman, in that case spend less making your game and charge the customer less.

It makes me wonders whether the many rumours of Starfield and Indiana Jones going multiplat were actually incorrect, or whether Xbox got scared over all the negative reactions over the past week and have subtly pushed that decision down the road for a while.

I think that if Xbox are intending to go digital only then they will find the EU will start sniffing around their walled garden Xbox store. Being forced to allow 3rd party app stores would be a potential huge loss for Microsoft, having physical media available keeps the regulators away!

We need vastly stronger consumer protections if physical is to be phased out. There needs to be permanent access to redownload your games, if a company is closing down their store they should be legally obliged to provide customers a way to download and store these games onto external drives.

And having your account banned should not stop you being able to access your purchases, yes ban people from communicating online using your services if they are being abusive, but things that have been bought shouldn't become unavailable.

It's a GTA game so they'll insult/caricature everybody like they always do when GTA is at its best. It's holding up a mirror to society and laughing at it. If I had to guess they'll be a overblown caricature of both a "maga Andrew Tait toxic masculinity figure," and an overblown "uber offended by everything woke snowflake figure" and most people will laugh at both.

And then none of it will matter because all the development effort has been put into the money making online multiplayer, and the majority of players won't even touch the single player.

I think its a bit sad because E3, for all it's flaws, was a public event. Summer Games Fest is probably much more convenient for journalists, less people around, better access to devs, guaranteed seats etc etc, but it doesn't have the same magic.

For me. Though nothing that I'd consider a must buy on day one tbh

I'm not against an all digital future, but there are still many problems I have with it that would really want to see addressed (but they won't!)

1. Game preservation, being able to keep a digital copy in case the digital store stops trading.

2. Digital store monopolies, if the playstation store or nintendo eshop is the only place you can possible get your games then there's no competition and prices I'm sure will rise. I think this is something the EU will enforce if games go all digital as its looking likely that apple will have to enable 3rd party app stores to comply with rules.

3. Licensing issues, digital games can get pulled or editted if music licenses end, giving us a worse game experience.

Kind of wish they'd release this as a standalone game seeing as it's been so long since the original game was released, and there'd been no clue that any dlc was coming. I imagine plenty of people who bought physical may have sold it.

This game is a remaster of a 2012 PSP game, so it's not as though they're using the "trails" name to trick fans.

Is Tales of Symphonia really releasing on Christmas Day? Seems odd I guess
