Sonic Frontiers - 8th November
On the 8th November, Sega's famous blue blur speeds off in a new direction in Sonic Frontiers.
Promising "high-velocity, open-zone platforming freedom," Frontiers sees Sonic stranded on an ancient island with five islands to explore and powerful enemies to defeat. Early reaction to the game was lukewarm to say the least, but recent hands-on impressions have been significantly more positive, suggesting that this could well be worth checking out after all.
God of War Ragnarok - 9th November
God of War Ragnarok is now so close we can almost swing our hugely satisfying axe at it, and boy are we excited.
Sequel to 2018's stunning God of War, Ragnarok continues Kratos and Atreus' journey as they travel to each of the Nine Realms, hoping to find answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world. Expect stunning landscapes, epic fights and more fantastic storytelling when this one drops on 9th November. More pre-order options are available here.
Marvel's Midnight Suns - 2nd December
Kicking off a packed 2nd December this year we have Marvel's Midnight Suns, a new tactical RPG that's set in the darker side of the Marvel Universe. You'll be teaming up with Midnight Suns – Ghost Rider, Magik, Blade and Nico Minoru – as you battle against demonic forces of the underworld to stop Lilith, Mother of Demons from resurrecting her master Chthon.
Check out this gameplay trailer to see the game in action, or secure your order below:
Need For Speed Unbound - 2nd December
Next up and also launching on 2nd December is Need for Speed Unbound, the latest entry in Criterion's racing franchise.
Promising "hours of electric, adrenaline-pumping racing action," Unbound will boast separate single-player and multiplayer campaigns, weekly qualifiers, custom riders that can be precision-tuned, and a fresh soundtrack. You'll be starting at the bottom and racing the top in this latest Need for Speed, and we can't wait to check it out when it arrives on 2nd December.
The Callisto Protocol - 2nd December
Did we mention that 2nd December was busy? Blimey.
The Callisto Protocol is a narrative-driven, third-person survival horror set 300 years in the future, where players take on the role of Jacob Lee – a victim of fate thrown into Black Iron Prison, a maximum-security penitentiary located on Jupiter's moon, Callisto. We're told to expect a "unique blend of shooting and close-quarters combat" in this one... We'll let the PR set the scene:
When inmates begin to transform into monstrous creatures, the prison is thrown into chaos. To survive, Jacob must battle his way to safety to escape Black Iron Prison, while uncovering the dark and disturbing secrets buried beneath the surface of Callisto.

GOW: Ragnarok, The Callisto Protocol and Evil West for me! Although Callisto Protocol is taking precedence over GOW this time since it is an ‘unknown quantity’ whereas GOW is definitely not.
Sonic Frontiers might well be my last game of the year on PS5 this year.
I know there’s immense hype around Ragnarok and Callisto Protocol, but I’m one of the twelve people in the world that isn’t a huge GoW or Dead Space fan.
Ragnarok and Evil West for November, Calisto and Crisis Core for December. I will be getting other down the line. The Devil in Me to finish off season tho I had my fix with The Quarry. The Chant could be a sleeper, remember playing the old Gungrave over a friends so hope this one is just as good. NFS looks real nice but same day as Calisto. Would say Id wait for a break to try the others but dunno when thats gonna be with the start of year already being packed XD
Pre-ordered (I know it’s dumb) GoW, Tactics Ogre (NintendoLife gave the PSP version a 10/10!), and Crisis Core. Might also pick up Callisto Protocol depending on reviews and the amount of free time I have, which realistically will be exactly zero hours 😅.
Police Simulator: is this more UK cops or US cops?
Err... Asking for a friend 😅
Hey guys,
What happened to monthly post were trophies were given to 4 chosen games as the best of each month?
I really need a fortune and whole year off to buy and play everything I really want🥲
@themightyant hahaha
No the ones that beat you even after you bribed them.
Some good games to go out with in 2022 but GOW and Callisto should be enough for me. Maybe crisis 😅 (probably)
Inertial Drift - Twilight Rivals PS5 ???
@Dr-M Ah! Russian police it is.
@somnambulance I wonder who the other ten of us are, then?
Ragnarok and calisto are pre ordered and ready to go don't need anything else
Whatever has the highest/best framerate gets my money. Refuse to punish my eyes.
Well into my review copy of Sonic right now. Think people will surprised by this one..
@somnambulance I hear ya. I'm one of those twelve also. Really, nothing for me until PSVR2.
@DETfaninATL I'll also be getting those 3 games, plus the Crisis Core remaster since I'm a huge FF7 fan.
@Danloaded Same exact plan here, you have great tastes in video games!
My wallet is going to be drained after the heavy months of November thru February...
Today 2nd november, you can pre-load GoW: Ragnarök to your PS4 / PS5 console. I just did it on my PS5 and it takes up about 84.11GB at version 1.003.000.
@somnambulance also one of the 12! Didn't enjoy the combat in GOW so only played it for a couple hours. I understand why people love it, it's just not for me
@Sequel spill the beans what’s the score ??
@somnambulance guess im the 11th 😂 though i’m giving dead space a shot . shooter and horror ? hell yea
GoW then Evil West!
Let's gooo!
@nomither6 All will be known on the 7th. The clue is in the date
Is Tales of Symphonia really releasing on Christmas Day? Seems odd I guess
