Week ending July 22nd, so it's accounting for 1 to (maybe) 2 days of physical Splatoon2 sales. 3 NS games in top 10 is what actually surprises me.
So we're getting Crash Team Racing right? Because n. sane trilogy is tracking really well there. I still wish the hit boxes were better, but can't deny this is still a great release.
You can't deny that it's a much more westernized MH, but that doesn't mean the game will be bad. They're doing a great job showing off how things will work.
Regarding the article, I agree about the monsters...they seem too passive. Don't think I could say the same about previous entries like MH Freedom.
I've been hopping between FF12 and Vagrant Story. I know they don't have much in common, but I would've loved to see it spin-off with FF12 and FFTactics as their own thing.
Also, really like the character models in Vagrant Story. Would've preferred it over the chibi models seen in more recent games.
It isnt a matter of more story, it's a matter of good story. Everything had absolutely boring names with plotting straight out of bad fan fiction.
Unless they hired an actual writer that cares about this universe, I imagine we're going to get a lot of the same stuff. Grab some location names Halo, item names from World of Warcraft, throw them in a hat, jumble them around, and we'll have Destiny2's story
Looks like a decent brawler, but it's all about how the game feels. I'd get it if a few reviewers confirm it isnt janky...or if they dropped a small demo.
Reading the linked article, it says he entered an agreement with his record label to license the song for Fallout4. But the agreement also had a clause saying ZeniMax must ask for Dion's consent to use it in any specific places....which they did not do. Dion is in the right here.
@adf86 Except having sex does not at all equate to homicides in the dark....one is love (or lust) the other is killing people and, quoting the article, "were not to protect innocent life."
The combat should have aged well, it's essentially what was used (albeit tweaked) in the xenoblade games. My biggest problem is that everything else in the game is lacking. Never liked the plot or shoehorned character.
The last great FF for me was 9. The franchise changed drastically after that.
Other than a small interest in FF12 (then I remember the lame story), looks like I'll have no problem hunkering down with the N.Sane Trilogy until Hellblade in August.
I would've liked the game to come with anything. Love how it plays, but at least a reversible case cover would be nice. Hell, I would've picked up a CE with that exclusive Skylanders toy.
It's an alright line-up if you're into the point-and-click genre. Will definitely mess around with Until Dawn, though I remember the decisions being as useless as in telltale games.
Besides that the mid-year sale in NA is what has me jazzed. So many good psvita and ps3 games are going for cheap.
I game on all systems, so have way more than 3 choices.
Starfox2 Super Mario Odyssey Mario + Rabbids Samus Returns Hellblade Sonic Mania Cuphead Crackdown 3
I'd be much more excited for AC: Origins if they expressed that the animus won't be involved at all. Just want a straight up assassin's creed game with no meta-machine ruining the story.
Got most of these through a previous sale, but never picked up Shadwen so that could be a fun purchase. Although Crash Bandicoot is right around the corner....hmmm.
Remember folks, anything that's $3.99 or below will actually be $5 added to your PSN wallet.
Seems they still support plenty of indie devs to me. I think they wanted to make money off of indie exclusivity with Rime (and others we don't know about), then figured they have to pump that exclusivity money into PSVR.
They're spreading themselves thin and have to perform a balancing act.
It's best when they show games that are at most 9 months away from release, with quick teasers tossed in for projects that are 12-15 months away.....especially when they're likely going to get hit with a delay.
Some tweaks makes it look considerably easier. Dude slammed back two potions instantly, you could hide in bushes for easy stealth, and a green trail follows the monster for tracking. Mounting the monster also looked easier, with no stress bar to control between stabs and holding on.
Glad MH is finally going multi-plat, but this seems like a more westernized version. Hopefully portable MH games aren't done with, I just prefer to play on-the-go.
Hard to see anything else hitting 1st place, you're getting a helluva game for at least 30% off. Especially when compared to a fighter that's light on content.
Personally, I don't dig the exposition-heavy plot or jumping/climbing mechanics in HZD, but hunting things sure is fun.
I feel like they downplayed the 4Pro during E3, to the point where this video isnt working for me
I was in the market for one, but changed my mind and would rather replace my current PS4 with a 4Slim when the time comes (if ever). Upgrading the storage is more important right now.
They're equally important. Sony wouldn't have put that much production value on the E3 stage if it didn't matter to them, and it sets up what they'll show more of at PSX.
I don't believe they were holding anything back at E3. PSX is about 7 months from now, every dev will be working hard in that time.....that's why we'll get more news at PSX, not because they're hiding great games away.
It was a mix of variety and pushing boundaries that made this E3 exciting for me. Nintendo and Microsoft showed great games with a good chunk releasing in 2017, indies really flexed their muscles, and cross-platform play means bigger online communities.
Sony impressed but a lot is up in the air for me. Don't know if I'll dig the change to God of War, it seems to be more about keeping enemies in a cone in front of Kratos rather than managing multiple surrounding enemies in previous entries. Don't care about SotC, good for folks who've been waiting for that but one release and an HD re-release is more than enough for me, not interested in Sony repackaging PS2 games and then saying no one wants BC for PS4. Spider-Man is getting the full Arkham treatment, there will be QTEs and villain/costume DLC up the yazoo. A couple of PSVR games don't really need to be exclusive to that platform.
I don't know about "winning" E3, but what Sony has to do is get the release dates right and judging by Jan-April 2017, they have this year all locked up software-wise.
If all the bigger games are aiming for Q3 2018, that won't bode too well. And by that I mean in regards to gamers playing games, not from a marketing point of view, Sony has that in the bag currently.
At the same time, I don't think reducing the PS4Pro by $100 across the board will do Sony any favors. Especially if it's already being sold at a loss.
MS stressed the Xbox One family of consoles this time around, which suggests to me they arent opting for everyone to pick up a OneX on release. It's an enthusiasts machine, they want the big 4KTV + UHD Bluray families to pick this up.
I don't really care what was console exclusive or not, a lot of the games shown at the MS conference looked great, they definitely had variety. I see myself picking up a lot of those.
As for OneX, they posed it more as an enthusiast's machine that wasn't essential, which I liked much more than the PS4Pro reveal. I'll likely pick one up eventually, Anthem looks good at true 4K.
Wow, if they gave NA the same PS4Pro deal as the UK one, I would be buying one this weekend. Don't care about a ps4 slim coated in gold cheeto dust, but at least we get HZD for $40.
They proved me wrong with this promotion, great game deals from Sony.
@flaming-kaiser DVD and Bluray have been declining in sales, but UHD/4K has been selling in the millions since they launched. Could top $8.4million this year alone.
If Scorpio can deliver true 4K gaming (with UHD disc support) and can take advantage of PC games, Sony should be sweating a little. 1 in 5 getting a PS4Pro isn't a very good sales stat when NS just released and Microsoft is ramping up for holiday 2017.
Sony has had amazing content this year though, so I'm sure their software line-up will dazzle. The XBO camp needs to announce games very badly.
Backed this as soon as it went up, I'm absolutely stoked to play it in October. Loved the comic and this looks like a nice high-quality continuation, it has Blizzard-level polish to it.
@get2sammyb Oh whoops, I thought active subscribers meant anyone who pays for XBL. Figured it was the reason they even launched the Game Pass recently.

Re: Guide: PS4 Games Release Dates 2017
Looks like I won't be picking any new games up until Hellblade and Yakuza: Kiwami. Hell of a list though, I still have yet to play Nier O_O
Re: Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Summons a PS4 Release Date in Japan
Did they add anything or is it just prettier? Because some things needed fixing the first time around.

Re: PlayStation Plus Members Save on Select PS4 Pre-Orders
@tasuki For NA, Pyre is 10% off and Last Day of June is 20% off on pre-orders. It seems the other titles arent on the NA PSN yet.
Re: Crash Bandicoot PS4 Was June's Best-Selling UK Game by a Mile
Woot woot! Albeit on a slow month, but still great news for UK and the bandicoot.
Full Throttle Up!
Re: Japanese Sales Charts: PS4 and PS4 Pro Continue to Outsell Switch
lol, combining SKUs isn't really painting a clear picture.
Overall sales look nice for a period where there isnt much in the way of big new releases though.
Re: Xbox Exclusive Cuphead Will Never, Ever Come to PS4
"It’s not a huge surprise given how much money Microsoft has clearly invested into the project"
Exactly, so there's a whole lotta nothin' to see here.
Re: Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 1, 2, and 3 Leap to PS4 Next Month
Bah, August is packed for me when it comes to game purchases. Been interested in these games for a while though and always enjoyed the demos.
Re: Jak & Daxter Tetralogy Nearing PS4 Release
I just bought the shoddy remaster on psvita at a discount lol. I'm a big J&D fan so may pick this up if the price is right.

@apostatemage There are choices, but they aren't very deep or far reaching. A few walkthroughs and reviews mentioned this.
Re: Feature: 20 PSone Games We Want on a PlayStation Classic Mini
There is a horrifying lack of Brave Fencer Musashi in that list!
Would remove the RE games too, everything else is Playstation gold.

Starfox2

Samus Returns
Hellblade
Sonic Mania
Cuphead
Crackdown 3

Yay, Vermintide for $12 sounds like a good deal. May pick up one of the Marvel Alliance games for that co-op itch.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of E3 2017?
I liked it quite a bit. 3rd parties and indies impressed me at E3. Even the safer bets from the big3 caught my attention.
The rest of 2017 is packed with great game variety.
Re: Talking Point: Is PSX Now More Important to Sony Than E3?

@flaming_kaiser I honestly wouldnt know.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Hopes and Fears for PS4 at E3 2017?
My hope is that they make my wallet fearful of the amount of games announced between now and next June. God of War in 2017 would be very welcome.
One thing is for sure, Sony is set to deliver a really good year in gaming. The past 5 months have been intense.
