Forget about never, ever getting back together: Cuphead will never, ever get with the PlayStation 4 to begin with. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard that the Disney-inspired platformer will skip Sony’s system, but it’s been over two years since the previous report, and business dealings can always change behind-the-scenes.
But following a NeoGAF post by StudioMDHR’s Tyler Moldenhauer about the title’s exclusivity, fellow employee Ryan Moldenhauer (and possible sibling?) has now told Eurogamer.net that “there will be no PS4 version”. It’s not a huge surprise given how much money Microsoft has clearly invested into the project, but this article should hopefully set the record straight.

well it's not XBOX exclusive either because it's on Windows P.C and they ARE two different Systems even if MS own both
Considering that they own the IP it's a rather stupid move on their part. You'd think they'd follow the Rime devs example but noooo.

I own both so doesn't affect me, i'm happy Microsoft are finally broadening the genres they target with their exclusives, i'm excited to play both this and Super Lucky's Tale on my X1 this year.

I'm calling it: Cuphead will be on PS4. Definitive Edition, different name, whatever, it'll eventually be on PS4.

I haven't bought a Xbox One game since Dead Rising 4 last year. Cuphead will be the first Xbox game I buy this year. And maybe the only one.
I didn't want to play it anyway haha lol, it's clearly got a following but i'm not in that crowed. When I saw it at E3 I was lost for words. I don't do drugs while gaming; I don't do drugs period!

Another Xbox "exclusive" that'll be on PC. I'm not complaining about that business decision, it means I won't have to spend hundreds on another console for a handful of games and just play them on PC instead.
I don't recall ever having heard of it until tonight, when this article and one on PSLS said it isn't coming to PS4, so it's not something I'll be losing any sleep over.
Having read up on it, it's not something I'd be interested in even if it was on PS4, so it's a resounding "meh" from me.

Well, the game looks pretty good, but that now gives 3 games that I would get an XBONE for them...hmm...still not enough to fork over the money after the problems I've faced with the 360. Oh Well, lots of games coming to PS4 and so many out now with my big backlog of titles to play already...and a Switch coming in October...hmm...what will I ever do? Oh wait, I have a MAC too?!!!
I just like how this game has exposed a lot of hypocrites. Some of the people I follow on youtube were saying 'indiestation4' every time they had a chance around 2014 and even in 2015. It wasn't a criticism without some merit but they look rather foolish a couple years later hyping the hell out of this game because the Xbox One has a complete lack of any worthwhile 'AAA' exclusives while PS4 is getting them left and right. And hey, I have no problem with somebody hyping an indie game, if a game is good, it's good, doesn't matter how much money was spent making it, but the lack of any self awareness by corporate slaves who love plastic is absolutely hilarious.
I have never even heard of it till now! so not bothered if that interesting will play on PC like most Xbox games these days not true exclusives anymore on that platform.
