Employees at PlayStation in the United States got a cool gift on company dime today: a copy of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy presented in a retro jewel case. The artwork has been altered to make it look like an original PSone release, while there’s a mock CD-ROM inside boasting a PlayStation Network code for the full game.
While this is undoubtedly a wonderful token for staffers, we can’t help but wonder why a Collector’s Edition wasn’t offered with a similarly nostalgic case. A lot of people would have paid good money for the classic, easy-to-crack case – this editor included. Would you have stumped up for a throwback box like this?
