Re: Poll: Will Sony Host a PlayStation Showcase Next Month?

Atreus97

It might not be in Sept, but its coming.

2023 is when we should really start to see the death of cross gen game releases. PS5 supply is improving so its time to kick this generation on.

I'm expecting Sony to blow our socks off to keep the demand high and hit their very punchy sales forecast.

Re: Sony's Latest State of Play Has Been Watched More Times Than Any of Its E3 Conferences

I think we're comparing apples with oranges here.

E3 2016 was a long time ago, and as you say there were so many ways to watch it 6 years ago, including in person.

Also, the E3 2016 video is almost 2 hours long!
The Resident Evil 4 trailer alone has more views than the SoP. I could not use that to draw conclusions about RE4s popularity compared to everything shown in the SoP broadcast, for example.

Re: Hands On: Assassin's Creed Origins PS5 Patch Reminds Us That It's One of the Series' Best Games

I appreciate this article!

I only started playing AC games with Odyssey during the first lockdown. I spent about 150 hrs in it and loved it
Valhalla kept me for about 90 hours but I didn't finish it as it got too much.

I always thought Origins would be worse, as it came out first and was presumably improved upon with the following two but that doesn't seem to be the case here or the consensus among most others. Gonna buy this!

Re: Rumour: BioWare May Have Just Confirmed the Return of Commander Shepard in the New Mass Effect

There's never gonna be a decision that unites everyone.

Bring in new characters (see the Ryder twins or Gotham Knights/Suicide Squad as examples) and you'll get a 'meh' reaction.

Conversely, keep the same old characters and people will be begging for something new and different, as we're seeing in this comment section.

There's no right answer for me. The crucial thing is that it's well written and properly takes into consideration the choices of the previous games.

Maybe there's a limit to the amount of bug squishing that can be done during development?
I'm sure they were thorough and the delays helped, but ultimately this game is absolutely massive.

There have got to be thousands upon thousands of things that can go wrong and you simply can't account for all of them without a significant player base.
