Re: Poll: What Kind of PlayStation Press Conferences Do You Want?

ArkhamKnerd

They could maybe have an occasional Direct type video that showcases some upcoming VR and Indie games. Individual trailers and announcements for stuff like that can easily be missed if you aren't checking sites like this all the time. Or maybe you guys can just make your own Push Square Direct with that info 😜

Re: Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Dazzles in Extended PS4 Gameplay Demo

ArkhamKnerd

@get2sammyb Yes! I'm usually a quiet gamer (unless something is p*ssing me off) but these Uncharted sequences always get me going "oooomg!" when things start collapsing and you gotta run. Also, those leaps that look like you're barely going to make it never fail to make my stomach tense up for a second! Same with Tomb Raider...which obviously is very similar.

Re: Ubisoft Pirate Game Skull & Bones Has Both PvE and PvP Modes

ArkhamKnerd

To me, it seems like something that would've been good for Black Flag multiplayer. I got bored during it's reveal because it looked like they really were just showing old footage of ACIV. I'm still unsure about Sea of Thieves but I like it's goofiness (being shot from a cannon) and the exploring part...just not a huge fan of online only.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 173

ArkhamKnerd

My young nephew is visiting and he brought his Xbox One and some games I don't have. My wife and I started playing his Lego Movie game the other night and hopefully will get a chance again tonight. I also played his Forza Horizon 3. I'm not a huge lover of racing games so I wouldn't have ever bought FH3, but I'm really enjoying it and glad I'm getting a chance to play without ever buying it. He's 7 and thinks it's boring...maybe I should keep it! 😜

Re: Days Gone's PS4 Release Date Hasn't Leaked At All

ArkhamKnerd

So if Days Gone and Spider-Man come out in the first half of 2018 along with God of War...will you guys copy and paste your articles from a couple months ago about it being the best year ever for gaming and just edit it to show next year's games? 😂 That'd be pretty amazing to have back to back years like that. Still glad that I got my PS4 just in time for all of this.

Re: Guide: E3 2017 Press Conference Schedule

ArkhamKnerd

Wow, I wasn't aware of Unravel 2! I got the first one pretty cheap last year during an Xbox Summer Sale. I liked it a lot. I'll likely miss watching EA and Microsoft's conferences live. I may be home in time for Ubisoft. I work at a hotel and our hours depend on how many people are staying. 😏

Re: Feature: 5 PS4 Exclusives That Will Wow at E3 2017

ArkhamKnerd

I voted for Spiderman b/c I want to see if it can match the Arkham games. I'm excited for TLOU2 but as others said, it feels like it's too far out. Not sure how I feel about the others. Just glad this year I can watch Sony's conference knowing I have a PS4 for all the games they show. Unlike last year when I was like, "these games look amazing! I really need a PS4! 😭"

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 171

ArkhamKnerd

I have a long list of games I want but not sure which one to buy next. So instead I was giving the Xbox GamePass free trial a go. There's not that many games I cared to really try (most of the big games I've already played) but I downloaded Shantae and the Pirates Curse and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. Like them both so far.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 168

ArkhamKnerd

I finished Persona 5 a few days ago and have forgotten how else to use my spare time. I spent 130 hours on it! Without anything to play at the moment I feel lost at night during my usual gaming time...that sounds kind of sad 😂. Not sure which game on my want list to try next. After spending so much time on one game I'm not really wanting to get sucked into another long experience right away.

Re: Review: PREY (PS4)

ArkhamKnerd

I bought Dishonored 2 day one and within a month it was $20 cheaper. Thinking I'll wait just a little bit on this and see if it drops.

Re: Watch As Two of PlayStation's Most Prominent Names Chat Candidly

ArkhamKnerd

This was great! I always like hearing about early concepts for games and movies and how things change over time and how the first ideas always seem so bad or ridiculous but eventually turn into something great. I also love Neil's thoughts on people who think they must identify with a character because it really bugs me when other men complain about having to play as a female.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn 2 Will Likely Have Way, Way More Machines

ArkhamKnerd

@Simon_Fitzgerald I agree on bandit camps. It was satisfying hitting some headshots and changing it up from the usual machine fights. I didn't find it dull at all like I was expecting after reading the review here.
Also, I was thinking how it's funny that many people refer to them as dino robots but really only 2-3 out of about 20 resemble any type of dinosaur..haha.

Re: Poll: Has Persona 5 Been Worth the Hype?

ArkhamKnerd

I'll add my only complaint, which I think I mentioned elsewhere before. The long stretches with no save points. I understand in palaces because that's the point of making it difficult and needing to find safe rooms...but I had a long stretch that included answering something in class, followed by a lengthy after school dialogue section, and then forced straight into something else that was quite time consuming with no chance to stop. When I finally got through all of it, my save was over an hour later. I needed to stop way before that but couldn't and didn't know it was going to get me into all of that. Unless I'm missing something that allows me to save and quit somewhere during that point.

Re: Poll: Has Persona 5 Been Worth the Hype?

ArkhamKnerd

I tell ya, since hooking up my PS4 on Christmas Day 2016...I've had nothing but great gaming experiences. All four Uncharted games, The Last of Us, Ratchet & Clank, Horizon Zero Dawn...and now Persona 5. Definitely has me hooked. I was super excited to finally beat the first boss today.

Re: The Highest Rated PS4 Game of 2017 Is Out Today

ArkhamKnerd

Just played the first 2.5 hours. I was getting a little ticked off though because I really needed to stop but it was never giving me the save option on the screen. Which may be a problem if I need to stop playing suddenly. Other than that, I'm really enjoying it. Already had a moment when I was like, "omg...this is freaking amazing!" 😀

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 162

ArkhamKnerd

I've been playing The Witcher 3. Honestly, for me, it's been hard to keep me interested after coming off Horizon. Last week I picked up from my most recent save which was from 2015 where I was level 13. I'm level 22 now and I'm not bored but it certainly isn't grabbing me like Horizon and that's probably why I never got far into it before. So I switched it up tonight and did a couple missions on Dishonored 2. Been awhile since I worked on my low chaos Corvo run.

Re: Review: Persona 5 (PS4)

ArkhamKnerd

@ShogunRok Ah! I thought of something I don't think anyone asked about...trophies! How did you manage on your playthrough? Are they pretty straightforward? Any that are really hard or require a second run?

Re: Atlus Blocks PS4 Share Button in Persona 5 to Avoid Spoilers

ArkhamKnerd

Kinda sucks because I like sharing to Twitter so I can save my screenshots to my phone and then delete the tweet. If they're trying to keep spoilers away then they need to remove all gameplay videos from Youtube as well. I know I've seen some titled "Persona 5 ending" while viewing a little bit of gameplay.

Re: Review: Persona 5 (PS4)

ArkhamKnerd

@ShogunRok My only concern is that, other than Pokemon, I don't play turn-based games. If the combat is more engaging and involved than that...I think I'll be fine! I should be...right?

Re: Round Up: Have MLB The Show 17's PS4 Reviews Hit a Home Run?

ArkhamKnerd

I haven't played a baseball video game since MLB 2K09 and some of my favorite gaming memories were spending summers playing All Star Baseball 2000 & 2001 on N64. So now that I've been seeing gameplay for The Show it's really making me want to play a baseball game again (though it'll bore the heck out of my wife). I'll wait until after Persona 5 but I think summer will be a great time to play just like I used to do.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 161

ArkhamKnerd

I finished and Platinumed Horizon earlier in the week and kind of felt lost! It was such a great game and I had so much fun that I didn't want it to end. I decided to jump back in to Witcher 3 on my XB1 for now. I haven't played it since probably August 2015. It was really hard at first because I couldn't remember how to do ANYTHING. Had to leave the Witcher contract my last save started me at so I could run around remembering controls and what everything was!
