Re: Xbox Fans Flock to Online Suggestions Box to Tell Microsoft to Keep Games Off PS5

What they don’t understand is that they ain’t selling consoles already, and no one is going to leave the much more affordable PlayStation ecosystem or sell their PC just to play an 1100 dollar XBOX PC that plays XBOX and PC games but not as freely as on a true PC does. XBOX’s days as a console cornerstone are over, just as Sony’s days will end one day too most likely. Even Nintendo isn’t guaranteed perpetual success. One bad console generation can lead to a full on tailspin these days. Their best bet is to learn from SEGA. They can either accept that reality before it costs them a billion+ dollars or after.

Re: 'Looks Like We Got Sucker Punched': Ghost of Yotei Fans Gutted Support Has Ended for Free Co-Op Mode

This is just another example of why Live Service is a completely unsustainable business model. Even when a company does it right, like Sucker Punch has done TWICE now, it’s simply not good enough for the people who think they should be given everything their heart desires for free. Social media has ruined us on that. People addicted to that type of product fundamentally don’t understand the cost of what it takes to produce it.

Re: Gamers Still Pick Consoles for Exclusives, New Data Finds

I haven’t really been interested in XBOX exclusives for a decade. That’s why I’m pretty happy here on the PS ecosystem. If I something does interest me from that direction, I can just get Game Pass on my laptop, but that hasn’t really been the case. The only exclusives I might be interested in jumping to are the Nintendo ones, purely nostalgia based bc that was my childhood ecosystem, but it’s still very childish overall, so I’ll go that direction and catch up once I have some kids of my own.

Re: PS Plus Value Called into Question as Xbox Slashes Game Pass Price

As a PlayStation ecosystem guy who rarely plays PC games on my laptop, I’m quite happy with my PS Premium subscription, honestly. The catalogue is good, the Portal is perfect for my purposes. Sony is in a power position when it comes to the current market, even with their poorly handled current gen live service slop decisions. Just shows how far Microsoft has fallen sadly.

If I was a younger version of myself (now 37) who was on Game Pass and still played COD, this current deal would be my final straw for sure. They drop it a measly amount then I have to wait a year for the new COD? Who wants that? Oh well.

Hulst has got to go! He can retire with his millions somewhere nice, I’m sure. I have loved my PS5 experience, but very little of that experience has been down to PS produced titles. 3rd party is keeping PS afloat, and Sony has got to do something to show us why they “won” the console war with Microsoft, because it currently looks like Sony just got lucky.

Re: PS5's Power Users Are Spending More Than Ever, and PS Portal Proves It

I’m one of those! I still have the base PS5, but I’ve got the VR2, the Portal, and a Premium account. I was going to get a gaming PC or a Switch, but then I realized that I don’t have that kinda time. So I doubled down on PlayStation and bought a decent gaming laptop that I use for work and for Chrono Trigger anything else I can’t play on PlayStation.

Re: 'No One Is Buying This on PS5': PC Port Begging Already Unbearable as Sony Switches Strategy

I wasn’t going to get this game for a while, but this makes me wanna Day 1 it, against my better judgement.

I know it’s Sony’s decision to do this, but it’s still a justifiable reaction to Xbox’s business strategy. Xbox is done making “consoles.” This next one is a hybrid, and there is no way that Sony is going to allow their products to jump on the Game Pass, which is a huge reason why Xbox has fallen so far, for “free.”
