I don’t think that Microsoft will support physical discs in the future. They started pushing that notorious "digital future"—with its subscriptions and "dummy" discs—long ago. If the new Xbox does include an optional disc drive, it will only be for backward compatibility with older games; new games won't be released on disc. In that scenario, the Xbox and that disc drive become pointless.
The whole idea is to buy physical copies of games released before 2028 (my PS5 is ok for that), purchase new games on normal cartridges for the Switch 2, and "save money" on the rest by playing them on PC. In any case, I don't want to pay Sony for a product that doesn't align with my interests.
@LowDefAl Bloodborne was created by FromSoftware in collaboration with Japan Studio. They were the only Sony studio capable of working with Miyazaki's studio.
With each passing day, I find myself hating Sony more and more. I bought a PS4 mostly because of Japan Studio's games. Titles like Bloodborne, Gravity Rush, and Soul Sacrifice hold a special place in my heart. Today, Sony has become the exact opposite of the company I liked before.
It's a pointless idea. It won't work. Sony only understands the language of money. Simply not buying digital games and not subscribing to or canceling your PS+ subscription, not for a week, but forever. That's the only way to hope Sony will react. Even if online traffic drops significantly this week, Sony will simply keep quiet about it. Mindless actionism doesn't work for big companies; only voting with your wallet works.
Without new physical games, I don't need a PS6. I haven't bought and never will buy a single digital game from the PS Store. In 2028 I'll still have a PS5 for old games. I'll use PC and Switch 2 for new games.
PlayStation betrayed its most loyal gamers today. It simply spat in their faces and decided to remove the biggest advantage of console gaming. Personally, I realized today that in 2028, my paths with PlayStation will finally part. I will not buy a PS6.
ILL was the most memorable game at Summer Game Fest. We have don’t have many games like this in our soy and boring times. The games like Silent Hill f and ILL are like a breath of fresh air for me.
Oh, I misunderstood you here. But still I can't understand your point about not attacking other countries, if Franco was bad anyway.
I know about other wars, especially in Africa. I also know that Ukraine have a good ties with some islamist groups in Africa, who fight with official govenments.
I know that there are people from my country who dying in the war. We are not still immortal, sadly. But this is a price that we're ready to pay for our own safety, like we did it in Chechnya before. It doesnt't matter much who started the war. Why it started and who'll end it? - this is really important.
I don't care much if product cheap or not if I need it. Or if it"s from other country. But I prefer a balance of price and quality. My car is Chinese, TV from South Korea, my smartphone is iPhone (because I like to travel and make photos and videos), I have a PS5 and Switch (I also have a Xbox, but it's Xbox 360). It's nice to support your own local product, I usually do the same. But I don't use any subscripton ever (iCloud is exception, but it's just around 0,75 american cents per month here) and just buy a game that want to play, because I want to support developers and see it's sequel. Then you boycott a good game, you didn't damage any government's economy. They'll didn't feel it ever. But you are causing damage to the developer and to the videogame industry in total.
@Fritz167 that's not happend in the past. As I said, US still occupied a part of Syria with oil fields. If you want to see a trully present-day barbarities then just look on Gaza. What's weapon Israel army used?
If your governments continue to support by the weapons a terrorist states that treaten us - sure, we'll protect ourselves. Is it amazed you?
Is Franco was good just because of it? Is his legacy still alive? If Hitler wouldn't attack any country ever, then he might be a good man too?
You have a very naive point of view. We was the same in 90's. But a two Chechen Wars of 1994 and 1999 that was sponored by the West, and Geogian attack on our peacemakers in 2008 showed to us, that they'll never let us live peacefully.
@Fritz167 nope, but US still occupied a part of Syria. Did you know that? Yougalavia and Iraq was attacked by US and UK.
And what's bad if it's come from a Russian? Do you have a problem with my nationality or something? I feel some Franсo vibes.
My country did nothing wrong. Our security is absolute priority for country. And we'll end it as soon as we can.
I very happy for them. 10 million players is a big step for Mundfish and they fully deserved it. Atomic Heart was one of the best games in 2023 for me.
Like It or not, I'm totally fine with my basic PS5 then. I don't want to buy a premium product that much worse then basic and pay more for things that should be included.
I don't feel surprised about poll results. But I thought that it would be more negative. I'm glad, that I can play my PS5 games in Pro quality on PS6 in future.

Re: 'We Are Not Seeing Any Impact on Our Business': Sony Says Physical Disc Backlash Is Having Zero Effect
By the time Sony feels that impact, it will be too late for them already. They have irretrievably lost all the trust.

@Vladspartan you’re wrong. I’m a jrpg, action and horror gamer mostly.😁
Re: 'The Way It Was Meant to Be Heard': Tone-Deaf Sony Pushes Vinyl Turntable After Killing Physical Games
I need games on Blu-ray discs, not music on vinyl.🤦🏻
Re: Big STALKER 2 Overhaul Coming 20th August in 2.0 Patch and First DLC

Just a typical PC port beggars. They did not buy Sony’s games earlier, so why are they too loud now? - They just want to pirate games.

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate Summer Game Fest 2025?
