Mundfish has announced both Atomic Heart 2 and a spin-off called The Cube, also based in what the studio is naming the "Atomic Universe". While PS5 versions weren't directly confirmed, both are listed as coming to PC and consoles. You can watch the Atomic Heart 2 announcement trailer above.
Atomic Heart 2 is described as a "spiritual successor" to the first game, while The Cube is an MMORPG shooter. "Atomic Heart 2 is an action-adventure role-playing game that brings you back to a retrofuturistic universe, full of new dangers. The sequel features a living world rich with possibilities and places a heavy emphasis on story, role-playing elements, and player freedom."

"The story unfolds in an alternate-history world, with events now expanding to a global scale. Return to the magnificent world of science and technology, and find out what the next chapter has in store for you!"
"The CUBE, a new multiplayer RPG shooter with unique world-building, an intriguing story, exciting quests, and constant progression, is shaking the Atomic Universe. A giant, levitating Cube with rotating edges appeared, hiding a deadly equation inside. Can you survive another turn?"

Coolio. Probably means we’ll be getting the first one for an a PS+ or Extra at some point
The Cube looks sick. Oh and playing a gun toting grandma, winner.
Hopefully this one will have better VA, and a likeable protagonist.
I couldn’t continue with the first one hopefully this one’s better
Both of these were games of the show before RE9 was announced.
@Danloaded dude same. I honestly came back and loved AH on a 2nd attempt but found the dialogue 90s immature esque
Atomic Heart 2 looks great! Can’t wait to buy and play it.
Atomic heart wasnt perfect but was an interesting world they created. so a sequel could well be very good
I played the first one (mostly because of you-know-who, wink) but couldn't finish it. The world and story were really interesting though. I will try this one, and The Cube, as well.
This looks amazing like cyberpunk and bioshock had an illegitimate love child. Definitely need to go and play the first one, even though push square gave it a 6…
@Qu1n0n3z I agree, the first one was lacking a soul.
I enjoyed the first one enough to pick the sequel up, hope the gun play is a bit better but I enjoyed the weird world!
Characters designs are good "fan service" like the first and gameplay looks fun too. Couldn't care less about MMO project but I guess they earned good money from the first since that announce both of those and support ILL as a publisher.
Edit: I can't believe how offended some reactions I've watched got from this and CUBE announcements were hilarious. Hope we see more games like this just to spite them. Jeez...
