I guess they will be as irrelevant as the kicks. As long as they are free in the battle pass I will try it, but don’t expect me buying one in the store.
I been with playstation since the beggining, have all the consoles (even the PSVita TV) but I regret buying the PS5, there’s no games from playstation studios that appeal to me (only demon souls) . I don’t care at all about the PS6 , maybe if Playstation stopped making the same game over and over again and focus on more experimental ones (Patapon, pupeteer, tokyo jungle) it will ignite my interest.
I know that is cool to hate Fortnite, but I think it’s a fun and solid casual shooter (and I really don’t like shooters) I would love to play as Dante or Nero. My VBucks are waiting for this and the Final Fantasy collaboration (I already have Solid Snake)
Already pre ordered the physical (switch) version. I will get this on PS5 digitally on a sale. Been a fan of the game since the original released on PS3.
I don’t like soulslike games because I loved Dark Souls games, and I hate the lack of ideas of modern gaming. If I need a Souls game I play the From Software ones. And since time is finite and there are a lot of great original games being released constantly, i’d rather play something fresh, than a product of a desperate developer trying to get on a hype in order to make some bucks with a subpar product (Most Soulslike games tends to be 6/10 ones)
This game will be amazing, the type of game Playstation needs to focus on. In find interesting how thet use the “fat” version of the PS5 instead of the newer slim model. I guess it was being develop a long time ago, but find it interesting anyway
Love this game. I dream about a FFVII remake with this battle system and not the one it shipped with. The best Final Fantasy in years, and a solid example of why you need a PS5
I played the demo, it’s fun, and my type of game, but I find the whole “I wanna have Nier vibes” a bit disappointing. Will eventually pick it up, but not on release day.
“If you were raised on a diet of Japan Studio oddities and quirky PlayStation published exclusives, then Stellar Blade is the game you’ve been praying for“ This, is what I been waiting for the ENTIRE generation. Japan Studio was the only reason I liked Playstation in the first place, and I despise with every fiber of my being the Westernization of the Brand
I’d rather spend $40 on two great old RPGs than $70 on a new “Copy/Paste Open world with a (bad) story that pretends to be meaningful and emotional with crafting mechanics and linear skill trees” type of game
I have had all Playstation products till this day (even PS4 pro, vita TV etc) but I refuse to buy an upgrade for a console that does not have games (most of the games it has I could have played on PS4) unless Playstation gets its act together (Jim Ryan departure gives me hope) I even doubt I will be interested on a PS6.
Trying to rush “FFVII intermission” but even setting it on easy and automatic I could not stand the battle system (wich reminded me why I hated and grew bored of remake in the first place), I would love that they went full action (like FFXVI a battle system that I loved and really enjoyed) or the original Turn based one (a proven timeless classic, like DQ11). The music on the episode is awesome at least.
@Tomato_Goose would love to try it! But I am just a lowly console gamer with an awfully outdated PC. Nevertheless I keep my hopes high because the subject matter seems interesting.
The first part of the trailer looks very interesting and original, and the second part looks really boring and generic. The game play trailer that was releases some months ago looked cool though. Guess I will keep holding L2 and pray this one is not another “agony” kind of deal.
Not playing it at launch (Im busy with Persona 3) but bought the special deluxe digital edition and instantly regret it. That Square content viewer app is awful, the so called artbook is a joke, its just a glorified browser that redirects to online high res images. Really disappointed with it. It’s the Last time I buy a digital deluxe edition from Squareenix, that’s for sure.
Played the original Nier on release on PS3 and got hooked, Automat is one of the games I re bought multiple times and didn’t regret it. A 3rd one would be great, but I would love a Drag-on Dragoon 3 remake before that. Amazing game with horrible performance.
I had the honor to watch him live playing Dark World from FFVI on a tour, an amazing guy who opened my eyes to videogame music, It’s his fault that I mainly listen to videogames OST. His Black Mages albums were masterpieces too.
This is the typical game I would download on Gamepass for free, store it on the hard drive for some weeks, and delete it when I need more space without even touching it
Pre load it on gamepass, had to go out and buy the physical release. I played portable on the PSP and my filed corrupted on december…. So I am dying to see the ending.
Love the series and will love tonolay it, but I am still in Yakuza 2 (and im sure Persona 3 and Final fantasy will take all my time) i hope RGG studio hit the break with the releases, the man who erased his name is not even a year old and we already have another one…
It's a "since its a UBISOFT game I will wait for the inevitable price reduction in some weeks" but as a auto proclaimed UBISOFT hater (I really don't like the games they deliver at all, except maybe for Rayman) I must say that this game interest me and looks good.
@MFTWrecks the unplugged scheme was Left, down, and the Dpad (for the first two notes) and X and O (for the last two) putting triangle for the extra note on expert
The first thing that came into my mind when I played this mode was Rock Band Unplugged, in fact I mapped the buttons just like that game wich is waay more comfortable that the default settings
I love my games on physical and been collecting since the PSP days, but with the arrival of the PS4, it became pointless to collect for Sony/Microsoft machines, discs contains incomplete games, that always need patches (And significant ones, except rare exceptions like Persona) theres not even manuals, really the digital future is now.
@nessisonett 100% agreed, the artstyle looks awful to me. I am a big Rhythm games fan (not so fond of these “profound” narrative games tough, with the exception of “what remains of Edith Finch”… that one is a masterpiece) and the girls goth band High School setting doesn’t do it for me either. I will pass on this until they inevitably release it on PS plus (it has PS plus essential written all over it), then I will redeem it, it will sit on my library forever in digital limbo. Maybe in 2050 an old retired me, who had played most of my backlog will desperately search the digital library in order to find A game that feels fresh I will rediscover it, give it a try and realized how wrong I was in 2023. (if a meteor doesn’t wipe us from existence before that time)
FFXVI has an amazing combat system, fantasic music and graphics and a great and entertaining storyline. But the side quests are tedious, i am tired of running from one point of a map to another to say something to an NPC, (usually filler content like, tell them to have some wine) the return to the original NPC quest giver to give him/her a response or item. It would been a better game without so much of that.
I am loving FF XVI, but theres just too much Filler dialogue and quests. Sometimes I want to play some battles and end up spending 2 hours going from point A to point B to fetch some item for a random guy that I could not care less.
I am loving the game. I am a FF fan and I think that DMC V is a masterpiece. So mixing FF storytelling with DMC battle system is a dream come true. (My favourite FF since IX to be honest) But I understand the people that argued that “it’s not a final fantasy because of the combat” I still don’t understand the modern aversion to Turn based battles, but I’d rather have a full on action game like XVI, and not some Frankestein mix like XV or VII remake. Let’s hope Dragon Quest XII remains a classic JRPG.
