Never played the actual League of Legends but I started playing this back in the summer of 2022, stopped a few hours in. Decided to get back into it a few days ago and now their a PS5 version. Perfect timing.
I'm glad we're getting a FF game thats not set in a sci-fi world/future-ish world. I prefer the more medieval esthetic honestly. Also I know they'll likely never do it but a style similar to FFIX would be amazing.
Either way I'm excited for for FFXI. I'm willing to give the combat a fair shake.
It was okay. It was well acted, well directed and looked great but I was bit bored. It stayed so close to the game that I wasn't as into it. I think this is one time that TV only people might have the advantage in possible enjoyment. Still give it an 8/10.
For the sake of people that won't be picking up a VR set I hope that it's more than just 4 cars in one of the "big updates". I know they say it takes 270 days to create a car and that is a huge undertaking but I don't think their effort translates to big in the mind of a lot of users. Would be nice if they at least added a customizable HUD, a couple of tracks or a few other goodies.
Not having to worry about working on 2 gens should not only let the graphics be boosted even more but hopefully extend to helping with better AI (not that their AI racers has ever been great.)
I waited for the next gen update andwas enjoying the game up until you realize the situation V is in. I did a few more missions and side things then quit. It made no sense that the protagonist would be doing random quest given their condition. The logical side of me just couldn't get with that choice.
Was interested but I'll just wait for FM 24 at this point. Hope the studio is smart enough to realize the likely low sales on PS5 will come down to the delay and not that PS users aren't interested.
I remember putting this on my wishlist at one point then it disappeared from it. Hadn't thought about it again until this articcal.
Along with this what ever happened to that game Pragmata, wish listed that as well and have heard nothing else since they announced it was pushed to 2023.
So the game is that bad that it can't be reworked in the 6 months between this announcement and the server going offline. What have they been doing since it's launch. How long will the shutdown take, days? months? years?
All that said I have never heard of this game. Hope they can pull it off even if I never played it. As I'm sure no creator sets out to make a poor game. Good luck.
Hopefully this will be exclusive to current gen. DS was great looking on PS4 but I can only imagine how good DS2 would look if they can devote all the energy to PS5.
If anyone does manage to forget it won't matter it's going to be a f2p game. Also it's made by Hi-Rez who have continually made Rogue Company worse with each update. From what I've heard they made worse and abandoned their other previous MP attempts in a similar way.
I'm wondering if they are waiting for the year anniversary to drop a big update instead of just cars and the occasional track. Either that or waiting for Forza to drop and then try to steal their thunder with a massive update.
I liked the demo and I like the full release so far. I actually like the art style. I've never played other in the series so that's a non factor for me. Honestly I think what I like best is that it knows it's a GAME! Wooden character?! She's a Valkaryie that up until the game started didn't exist until Odin needed a new one for a very specific mission. What kind of depth are people expecting. To often releases are so focused on hyper realism, sprawling stories and then you end up with the Ubisoft game with 90 million side quest and collectibles and story beats that don't matter.
Never skated in real life but have always had a fascination with skateboarding and the surrounding skate culture. I can only do the simplest of tricks still but I'm enjoying skating around the city. The day to night cycle is great. The cities look good. There's a bit of polish that could be done to the animations and graphic but for a team of I believe 9 people releasing on multiple platforms this is a really good game.
Is it difficult most definitely but I don't see it as a con. There are also difficulty levels and assists that can be turned out to make it a bit less difficult. It's still hard but the assist def help. I don't see difficulty being a con in reviews for other difficult games Elden Ring, Sifu so why is it here?
What I played of it was decent playing post next gen update) but ultimately fell off. The main story was interesting enough but the side missions had me constantly thinking "should I really be doing this given the circumstances V is faced with are really urgent" That's not very good for the immersion role playing aspect of the game.
Glad others are enjoying it and getting new content though.
Something looks a bit off with the graphics. In some spots it looks really good in others it looks like a late cycle PS3 game. Also does anyone know if you can actually get off your board and walk. It's a minor nitpick but it always breaks immersion along with magically resetting after taking a fall. Interested in checking it out either way as almost being 40 I think I missed the train for hopping on anything other than a digital skateboard.
None of the Gundam games I've ever tried ever hit the right note for me. I want a bit more freedom and to actually feel like I'm piloting a Gundam when in the suit. A Gundam action RPG that has compelling game play and story both inside and out of the mobile suit. I need something epic. Maybe one day but i'm not holding out hope.
I was all physical until someone broke into my place a few years back and stole my ps4 and games (among other things). Ever since then I've been all digital. It's easier to just replace a console than to also have to replace all the games as well.
9/10 Doesn't overstay it's welcome, no overly complicated puzzle. The story is pretty straightforward but still well told and gives you just enough information but also leaves the wider world up to your imagination. The environments are amazing and feel very lived in.
I still play it but not as much. I want more city/road course before adding more cars. The online races need at the very least go back to the previous penalty system. Offline the AI is doesn't actually follow most rules and aggressively sticks to the racing line.
TLoU, Horizon, Ghost and GoW would be better as movies. GT would work if it was something like Top Gear. Twisted Metal has 90's TV written all over. ITo answer the question though I'm not excited for any of it.
It's going to be about Luca from the Cafe Menu's. After retiring from racing he opened the Cafe. Then they kidnapped his grand daughter. He gets pulled back in for one... last... race. This time it's personal.
If they just made it so you could play friendlies and actually use all the teams and adjust the settings of the friendlies I'd be on board. Until then it's going to likely remain on the bench as I have little interest in playing online. Hope it doesn't take another 7 months for them to release another big update.
eFootball should be on the worst free games on PS5. With the update coming this week it might earn that spot on top. As it stands now it barely qualifieds as a playable demo.
Gave online a try for the first time and it's overwhelming. Always notifications and pinging happening telling me about multiple things all at the same time. It looks really good on the PS5, I think I haven't played GTA since the original release 10 years ago. I'll give it a few more chances but with all that crap constantly popping up I don't see myself sticking with it.
If it does get more and improved use over time it won't happen until PS4 is put out to pasture. As long as devs are having to do double duty we aren't going to get the full PS5 experience as frequently as we'd like/should. This gen just launched at the worst possible time to get more consoles out there readily available.
What an experience this game was. Said so much without saying anything. So much emotion from such a short simple story. Loved the "multiplayer" of just bumping into another person and just singing the notes to try and convey the message,
I'd imagine this isn't as big an issue as the article wants to suggest. It's probably more that a few people who need to have things first are mad that it's going to cost them a lot of real money for those "bragging" rights. It's likely a lot of us will be playing this game for years and will eventually get the cars we want by just playing and enjoying the game.
FIFA not being on the box only effects EA ability to have an officially licensed FIFA World Cup or FIFA Club World Cup in the game. Clubs, Leagues, UEFA Champions League, Copa Libertadores etc. are different licenses. Outside of having to put in the effort to rename/rebrand the game EA isn't losing much. FIFA isn't necessary for any company to put out a game as it just governs international competition. It doesn't even make the rules for the sport thats up to IFAB.
I'm not one for harder games usually. I did beat Bloodborne but that was a long time ago when I probably had more patience. It looks interesting but I guess what worries me now is something like Returnal where you can play for hours only to die and have nothing to show for it. Then have a level regenerate in a totally new way. Sifu seems to be a shorter experience and the levels aren't randomized though. So if restarting over a level only sets me back 10 or 15 minutes and I can learn a pattern it might be worth ago.

@keediddy Wrong about what exactly? At any point did I say it wasn't a problem I asked a question.

Is this a "huge" issue the same way the orientation of your PS5 leading to over heating was a "huge" issue.
