My only experience was the original version of Persona 5. I wasn't sure about this release at first but now I'm definitely interested. I didn't replay or buy the later editions of P5 and have no desire to so playing what will wind up being the base version or P3 Reloaded is fine with me. I loved my single play through of P5 and looks like I'll enjoy P3 just as much. I'll gladly let my dollars be the catalyst for more completionist players to get a "definitive" version of the game.
I'm all digital now. In an alternate timeline where my apartment didn't get broken into and all my physical media stolen I'd probably be 50/50. I've long sinced moved from that apartment but that has scarred me. So unfortunately I'm all digital now. I'd probably I'd love to go back to the days where I could trade in my sports titles or games I ended up absolutely disliking.
I'm confused so we're actually only getting 2 cars this update? It sounds like the 3rd car coming in February would probably come with that months update assuming they have an update. Why not just announce the car then,
I'll try like every game with a in depth creator to make a cool character. I'm sure it will look like crap once I see it in game or I'll have major regrets after 2 hours of playing then start the game over because I'm not feeling the character lol
Didn't they say the servers go offline at the end of the month? As far as I'm aware the servers are still up. They never said they'd let you keep buying it until the server goes offline. It makes sense to de-list now. Rather than have people unknowingly continue to buy it and then get upset when they can't go online with it.
Best month in while. I've had Plague Tell and Nobody Saves in my wish-list for a longtime. Many times recently I've almost bought them. Can't wait to pick them up for "free" now. Evil West looks okay not something I would buy but it's included so I'll give it a go.
Can't wait for the PS5 Pro to have remasters of games that were released as 2021. Unless my PS5 craps out me I'll pass. They've barely tapped the power of the current version of the console.
I'll give it a go. Maybe getting in on the ground floor of a free to play shooter I'll actually get a chance to git gud before it gets popular (assuming it gets popular.)
I'm in. I'm ready to just wander around and find cool stuff. Probably the closest I'll ever get to discovering and exploring a new planet. Hopefully if there's any PvP it's optional, I just want to wander around and explore. I'd probably just be playing solo scouting ahead and building shelters and camps for people along the way.
PLOT TWIST The leak trailer was planned. Everyone gets hyped, people get talking, a few months of articles and little snippets hear and there then... BOOM! Rockstar announce game is dropping late spring/early summer of '24. The gaming world erupts.
I remember after the end of RDR2 when we switch characters I was hoping it would have been Sadie Adler. If a third game need an already established character the bounty hunting career of Sadie could be interesting. She already has an interesting back story and some character growth. I can see them expanding on that somehow.
Plot twist they've added in the scrapped third person view! LOL
Seriously though wonder what the change is? I started the game over after only making it past the opening credits a few months back. I'm still before the opening credits in this new run. Guess I'll just hold off until I hear what the new change will be.
All these failed/pushed back live service games are the basically the same, nothing unique about them. Live service multiplayer games that live on for years and years just can't be wished to existence. If it's going to happen it's going to happen organically. You just can't force the next GTA Online or Fortnite. The next great live service game is going to happen to a random game nobody expected much of.
24 hour day night cycle (on tracks were applicable)
Single player custom championships
A penalty system that actually worth something in Sport Mode. I'm not saying I need all of that or expect most of it but if a major update is coming it has to be more than just a the typical update with a few extra cars.
Still my most played game over the last 2 years though.
EA FC '24 trying to lead Leyton Orient to the Premiere League. Mostly going to try and get past the character creation screen of Baldurs Gate 3. I'm to indecisive and can't commit to a class or race.
Looks like my kind of weird. Guessing it won't be long enough to over stay it's welcome but long enough to make you sit back and think after the credits roll.
With that said this is the best of the recent FIFA/FC games. They have a long way to go in terms of career mode depth and customization though. They've implemented a few new mechanics though.
It's so close to being really good. If this sports game devs would just get the chance to make separate game-play for online and offline we'd be golden. From the outside I don't think online players really care about realistic gameplay they want high scores and to do fancy skill moves. Offline people want AI teammates that aren't brain dead. EA try to strike a balance that often favors the online needs/wants.
I'd be interested in what they could pull off if they just rebuilt the game from the ground up. Seems like a lot of legacy stuff ends up not meshing well with the new features.
When I bought MK11 it was the version with all the DLC so these characters were included already. Since I've purchased the standard edition of MK1, f I don't purchase these characters will that keep them from popping up as a selection if I were to chose a random opponent offline.
I have 3 platinum trophies after many many years of gaming. 2 are from telltale games (so i don't count those) and the other is Spider-Man. Spider was legit the only game I've ever put effort into getting as the game was enjoyable and the trophies were things I didn't mind actually putting any effort into.
Would be nice if these games came out on all platforms at the same time. The random waiting game of when will 'game x' drop on consoles leads me to forget about them most of the time.
I might give this another try sounds like some promising changes. I initially gave up very early when a certain thing happens that makes me question why (or role playing purposes) even think about doing the any sidequests. However I just did some reddit diving and read there is a moment that I either hadn't reached or missed that I think will help my brain accept that it's "okay" to be off doing sidequests.
I've gotten use to everyone's look from MK11, so seeing the art style for this is a bit jarring. Not a million miles of difference but still a difference. I'm not as worried about the Kameos as I was initially. I'll likely never go up against another human but looks like there will be more than enough to do as a solo player.
Definitely new tracks are needed and I'm not talking about different layouts. VR has been out for awhile it's time to get the some more race info as an option.
I didn't trade in my PS4 Pro but I'll defenitely do so if I get a PS5 Pro. Maybe by the time it drops most games will have finally left last gen behind. How many PS5 only games have we actually gotten since release, I'm drawing a blank other than Ratchet & Clank and Returnal. They are prime examples of what could have been for a base PS5 when the Pro drops there should be no excuses for games not running and looking their best.
I'm looking forward to exploring the worlds if going off the work Massive did with The Division 2 will be an indication of the planet quality. I recently started playing D2 after never finishing it when it was released and post outbreak D.C. is great to explore and just marvel at. The weather, day night cycle, wildlife, random bits of civilization strewn is just perfect. Sometime one of the roaming factions catches me off guard because I'm off looking at some random detail. This all from a game that's almost 5 years old. Excited to see what they can do now.
Still not sold on the kameos but they looked less clunky from this footage. I came to the part late on MK11 so hoping to jump on this from the beginning if I hear good things.
I thought they would never add more songs to music rally. Now they just need to add it to the menu with everything else instead of splitting it off. I know people trash the mode but I enjoy it as a nice side activity. This definitely isn't the old school single player GT game we thought we'd get but I've definitely got my moneys worth. Was my most played game last year and will probably nab the top spot again this year.
Some early reviews last time for the F1 game got me not this time EA. Waste of money. The very least they could do is go out and laser scan the tracks so they are more accurate. Going from something like Assetto Corso or even GT7 the tracks in the F1 games are bad.
Other than being popular FIFA isn't exactly something a game should be aspiring to be like as it barely represents the actual sport.
I watched it a higher quality version over on youtube and I say it looks a least on par with MK11. I do think this looks a bit more cartoon-y though. Not saying it's good or bad at this stage but we'll see.
What I'm not a fan of so far is the kameo's. Seems kind of silly to me. I'm not good against other people so I only fight the CPU so I hope there's an option to turn that feature off. Maybe it will grow on me though. It's really the only thing keeping this from being a day one purchase right now.
I'm on the fence. Loved HZD, but barely tolerated HFW. Actually had to force myself to finish it. I thought the story was pretty awful. At the very least it ratcheted up the crazy to an extreme level when it wasn't necessary. The gameplay was good and it looked great but not sure I want to invest anymore in this sequel and even less excited about a third installment. Maybe if a deep discount comes I'd think about it.
@TJ81 You still have to use in game currency to buy them like you would any other car in the game. In this instance when they say free they mean it's not part of a DLC pack that you have to buy.
On this current generation of consoles I always just figure they include gaps out of habit. Just one of those left over things that stick around for a while.
This is the first remake I'm actually excited for. I know I played the original but remember almost nothing about it or if I even finished it. This came out around my late teens early 20's which were a blur so this will mostly be a fresh experience for me.
So I take it they are just going to try and tack their name to another existing or in one of the to be released in production franchises set to release soon. Unless they've been working on this for years (they haven't) I don't think they would make anything at or near a top tier game. Unless they go the mobile route.
If a PS5 Pro drops next year I want a free upgrade. This gen has been handicapped with a lot PS4 games disguised as PS5 games. We've only had a handful of PS5 exclusive games so far.
