Tapped out of this one, I might finish it one day since I think I'm fairly close to the end. This is definitely one that isn't for everyone. One of those games that is for sure more art/think piece than a game. Lots of walking and talking. Don't want to yuck anyones yum if they enjoyed it though. Just wasn't for me.
Glad they made that decision. I already missed out on on Split Fiction and It Takes Two, wouldn't wan't to miss out on one of the games I've been waiting for since 2020.
I like the visuals but the movement looks a bit fast. So for me it's causing a disconnect. It's realistic looking but with the movement and twitchyness of something more arcade-y like fortnite. Like there isn't that "weight" of movement if that makes any sense. Looks good other than that.
@rjejr I thought the same thing and it almost put me off of buying it. All the media outlets and streamers/vid uploaders neglect to adjust the brightness and grab the worst in game moments. It actually looks better than these screenshots would lead you to believe.
""look to the future and plan the next big leap for Beat Saber"
So DLC and support is on going for other platforms... cool cool cool. Just say you didn't hit the numbers you wanted to on PS4/5. If the numbers warranted the continued support wouldn't you want to bring along the PS players for the "big leap"
Nope the fun for me is being haunted by my bad decisions. Normally I lose a character or two but IIRC, I think for The Devil In Me no one survived. Whoops. Always wish I had friends that were into these games. Would be fun to play as group.
I know we get some of that satire vibe in the trailers but I wonder if they decide to take a more "serious" tone. Still have those outlandish things happen and NPCs but a bit more grounded. More like GTAs version of RDR2 tone.
This is the only FromSoft game I've really gotten into. I loved the setting, the story and the gameplay. BB was my first FromSoft game so maybe that has something to do it. I've tried most of the other games and they just don't do it for me. A sequel would be great but this is the one time I'd be hyped for a remake remaster.
I never finished the first one. It was visually very good looking and the story was interesting. This game was the first time I think I ever had the thought I'd rather watch this as a actual movie instead of "play" the game if that makes sense.
If they would just add it to the actual console then I'd be a lot more aware of it. As it stands now it's something I kind of remember randomly. I rarely use the app.
After completing TW3 it seemed that Ciri seemed the likely next protagonist. I'm in, now the real question how long do we have to wait. Will it drop on PS5 or be a PS6 launch title
?!
HZD is in my top 5 game and I'm one of the few who didn't care for HFW.
It definitely is borrowing heavy from HZD but that's for Sony/Guerilla to decide if that is a problem for them, which is doesn't seem to be. All that matters to me is if it's a good game.
This also seems like a natural evolution of what I would have thought the world in Horizon would come to. The embrace and use of tech by all of humanity.
Lighting, blinking and micro facial movements are hard to model there are 43 muscles in the face that are always just slightly moving. It's definitely close to realistic but without those things it's just a bit off. With that said I don't think this game is going to have intense Death Stranding, TLoU cinematic cutscene that the artists are given that license to really push to that level. So it still looks really good.
I'd probably pick it up on sale though as I've only ever dabbled in the sims and never really stuck with it.
@Zriggin1 Do you have some actual data to back up that claim of it being a flop. If you do please share the link. I'm always open to opposing ideas when presented with proper evidence.
Edit: Really using an almost 3 year old racing game no longer being in the top 25 of most played games as a gauge of success.
After play about 20 hours of the beta and getting one shotted by PC players was enough for me to tap out. The subreddit was full of PC players complaining about the fact that the console version existed only for them to join and the obliterate all the fresh console players. Couldn't get matches with crossplay turned off but the ship has sailed for me now so I won't be going back.
This game is going to break a lot of sales records. I don't think anyone expected or even thought about this hitting a subscription service. Maybe when they've re-released the game on PS6 and PS7 then it will hit a subscription service but that's a long way around.
Only a rival for those into the card collecting ultimate team modes. If you enjoy offline single player gameplay and career modes EAFC or old modded PES games are still your only choices. Hopefully that FIFA and 2K team up pans out to be the true rival to EA as Konami clearly have no interest in fighting it out anymore.
Thanks @get2sammyb Only Persona game I've played was P5 and loved it so much completed a second playthrough. Was thinking about get the P3 remake but wasn't sure if it would feel like a step back. I look into Dusk Diver.
All the character designs and character personalities in this game are great. I've drifted away and started playing other games but the special move cut scenes get me hyped everytime I pull one off. Are there any other non gacha games that have a similar quality of character designs. Can be more traditional jrpgs or hack and slash just something non gacha..
@AdamNovice College football has a lot of traditions, history and stadium atmosphere specific to each school which I'd say is what's most similar to club football. I'd rather go to a CFB game before an NFL game just for the vibe. The first college football game was played in 1869 and for years college football I'd say was more popular than professional football. The NFL started in 1920, but I'd say it wasn't until 2000 that the NFL truly became the most popular form of North American football. I'd almost say CFB is still more popular overall due to the number of teams.
Overall I'm enjoying it but it isn't as nearly as polished or innovative as I thought it would be. I'm definitely enjoying it more than any Madden I've tried over the last few years. It almost seems like they held back so they could have things to showcase in the coming years.
Only one I really loved was Bloodborne. 50% is my enjoyment was the atmosphere and setting of Yharnam, the other 50% is some combination of gameplay and the lore/story. I'm not a fan or remasters/reboots but BB is definitely the one I'd be hyped to play.
Might have to pick this up and jump back in. Might be alone but the story was the one part I really liked about MK1. Opens up a lot of future possibilities. If I do pick it up hopefully I have some PS Stars rewards to knock that price down or it goes on sale. At almost the cost of the game I find that a bit pricey unless.
I got early access but I paid the for the month of EA play which gave a 10% discount on the standard edition + a 10 hour early access trial. I don't play much during the week but still got to get a jump and experience it early. In the end spent the same amount without having to buy a deluxe/ultimate edition.
As someone that really hasn't sunk time into a CFB/Madden game was probably 2007/08 and have maybe played 20 hours total of Madden in the following years I can say there is one aspect so far that is really disappointing...
It basically assumes you know how all the mechanics of the game work already. There is a challenge and practice mode but it doesn't really explain how to execute anything (unless I've been missing it). Just from basic gaming knowledge and vague memories I'm able to execute things but have no real sense of if I'm doing it the right way. There is a bit of a tutorial within the Ultimate team mode but it's actually a bit too basic and leans more to teaching you about the sport in general.
Having real players in the game I guess is a good thing but ultimately is useless as if you go past the 4th year in Dynasty mode they're going to be all fake players anyway.
I'm surprised Volta lasted beyond it's initial release. I could have been a fun mode but it was half cooked. The game play should have been way more arcade like instead of a slightly tweaked gameplay of the main game.

Since 2020 this game has been on my radar. I honestly thought this was going to be one of those games that we saw a trailer for but would never get.

I'm surprised how close the splits are for both polls.
