Critically acclaimed walking simulator Everybody's Gone to the Rapture will headline November's PlayStation Plus update, whisking members away to the idyllic Shropshire countryside. It'll be accompanied by stylish isometric shooter The Deadly Tower of Monsters on the PlayStation 4.
Meanwhile, over on the PlayStation 3, subscribers will score rally game DiRT 3 and the timely Costume Quest 2. Then on the Vita you'll land Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey Remastered and Pumped BMX+ – both of which are cross-buy with the PS4. Four games for new-gen owners this time, then.

I encourage everyone to try Rapture with an open mind. An acquired taste, but I loved it.
EGTTR is possibly my favourite game of this generation. Yes, interaction is limited but the storytelling is cinema quality and is incredibly moving. Wish there was a VR release for this. Another good selection.
Almost bought Rapture in their last sale, So will definitely be checking that out, the rest not for me.
Getting big AAA games is great and all, but I quite like this month's selection for my PS4 and vita- 4 games I wouldn't have bought. Now I get a chance to play for 'free'. I'm happy enough.
I thought Rapture was great but I've already got it. Other than that, I'm not really interested, but my backlog is out of control anyway so that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Ill try this rapture game...On the PSVR
Apart from Costume Quest 2 (which is awesome!) I've only heard of Rapture..not at all a fan of walking simulators but I'll try that and everything else...not that I need or have time for any more games
Not sure how I feel for those games.
Rapture is not for me, I tried a lot of those games and I will try this, but I am always getting bored of them, never finishing.
I tried the demo from the Deadly Tower, don't remember why but I did not liked it, on the other ahnd I do love B-movies so I will give it a second try
The two Ps3 games seems good, but at the moment my PS3 is broken
Letter Quest is a fun game that I really like, but got it with the current sale.
BMX+ seems like a Joe Dangerous kind of game, I will try that too. It is also a reminder not to buy any curve game, they always show up on PS Plus.
Not redeeming my PS+ card this month. Maybe we'll get something nice for Christmas.
@get2sammyb Any word on an infamous 2nd Son sequel, aka infamous 4? I'm looking forward to playing the first, assuming it will be on PS+ someday soon, b/c, why not?
I'm buzzin' with rapture was going to pick this up but there is no need now yay!! And I will likely be getting the rest there free after all, if I think they are dump it's not hard to delete and forget
I'll give both PS4 entries a go definitely. Honestly, I feel that this is a pretty decent month. Not great, but certainly not bad.
Everybody's Gone to the Crapture alright! This is so Sony of them, yet another walking sim... yaaaaaay! Oh, but wait... there's more!! The Deadly Tower of Monsters? Ha! The Deadly Tower of ConStars is a name that better suits this scam! Fortunately PSN is down most of the time so I don't have to look at these sorry excuses for freebies in the store all that much.
Where is Uncharted 4? Where is the new Tomb Raider? Tomb Raider belongs on a Sony console and it should be free! Step up your game Sony, you could've given us that artsy fartsy game you've been working on for so long now for free, the one that is practically Pete's Dragon but with crappy visuals.
Thank God for Activision and EA: with a healthy dose of CoD Inf.Warf. and FIFA 17 I should be okay this holiday season.
@Boerewors 6/10 - bit too obvious.
@get2sammyb I'm glad that more people will be able to try this game out, but I'm sad that their review average in the store is about to nosedive as a result. Rapture was one of my favorite games of 2015, but it's not for everyone. It's a niche title which has a lot of performance issues. As such I don't think it's a good fit for the Plus free game program.
Ahh well, hopefully The Chinese Room got some cash out of this which they can use toward their next project. And hopefully the game finds a larger audience as a result.
@Rudy_Manchego Couldn't agree less unfortunately. Personally I found the writing comparable to The Archers, which now I think about it was how most of the game felt to me - like playing a halloween Archers special. A shame, as it's generally narrative-driven games I enjoy most.
It was also so frustratingly slow to play. Would it really have killed them to add a run button? And that's not to say I need everything fast-paced - one of my favourite things to do in RDR is just saunter around aimlessly on my horse for instance. Each to their own and all that, but yeah, no thanks.
@get2sammyb I already own Rapture, which I never got around to completing. As for the others, there's nothing that's to my taste. Little disappointed a PSVR title wasn't available. Even something like bound which is playable in 2D too. Ahh well, maybe next time lol.
Time to see what all the fuss is about. I love a good story game so i bet i'll enjoy it.
I really enjoyed the style and story of everybodies gone to rapture but I think a lot of people are not going to enjoy it because of the pacing of the game. Its a suprising game to give away because I feel its more of a niche game.
@PaperyWhiteBoy It's definitely soap opera-y. I kinda liked that about it, though.
Egttr is something I'll try, it's never really been on my radar but I'd like to give it a shot after the praise it got on this site. It's saved me the money to because I'd probably never spend money on a game so far from my interests.
Pretty happy with next months offerings. I've almost bought Rapture and Letter Quest in the past and it gives me a chance to try out Rapture with my PSVR. I do hope they add VR titles to the mix come the new year.
@get2sammyb Well there's no accounting for taste, I guess
I was genuinely looking at both of these games so I'm pretty happy!
EGttR really really makes me want next week to hurry up! Although... I read in a few places it's in many ways a scary game to play? Or up there with the best of horror? I think it may have been abstract but if there is a single jump scare I may have to rethink!
btw whoever said Everyone's Gone to the Crapture deserves a medal haha.
Why can I never pick the right emoji?! That one makes me seem like a right smarmy b'stard. I was going for cheeky. Is this why the cool kids call me grandad?!!
Okay month, Rapture is definitely worth a play, I was somewhat underwhelmed but not at all disappointed when I played it at launch. Best played on a sunny summer Sunday afternoon with a glass of lemonade.
The Deadly Tower of Monsters was great
I am only slightly interested in EGTTR but seems like a pretty decent ordering for the month to me!
FFS how do Sony keep constantly messing this up. EGTTR is one of the most tediously slow games I've ever played & is yet another 'free' title I paid for when it came out. And ToM is a "2 minutes & the fun's over" game. Definitely won't be renewing my PSN as I feel massively ripped off!
I always wanted Costume Quest and Dirt 3 cool!
Also, Rapture is a game that I really want to play!
I like this month!
@Neolit ...Why...why did you have to tell me that? Why?! You keep your useful information to yourself, you hear!
@Tenacious-P You had 2 great months already with good games cry me a rivier.
With last month only I got my money worth not counting all the discounts.
I think it's another great Update,Looks like that price hike really is bringing back some quality to the service.
I've been holding out on buying Rapture only because I thought it would be a free Plus game someday.
I like cheesy Sci-Fi and arcade shooters so I'm eager to try out Deadly Tower of Monsters.
I have Letter Quest on PC and it's great.
Wow that extra $10 wasn't used to get better games that's for sure.
@Flaming_Kaiser no YOU had 2 great months. I've not downloaded any of the free games since January as they keep offering out stuff I've already bought. And seeing as I also don't play online I've literally just given £40 to Sony for nothing! Yes, Journey is a great game but some of us paid our £15 when it came out. Same with EGTTR, Abe's Oddysee, Lords of the Fallen, Transformers among others. I'm sick of them offering out stuff that I've already bought & they do it constantly. I didn't buy Axiom Verge as I thought they'd do that but no. But you can bet your bottom dollar they will if I do. So yeah, I'll cry a f***ing angry river!
Got Rapture ... so ... shafted this month!!!
@Tenacious-P the developer said categorically that Axiom Verge is never coming to plus. My advice would be to wait on a sale and get it. One of the best games on the ps4.
I don't think I saw a single comment complaining about Knack not being included. I guess I can add one more highly acclaimed indie game to my backlog of shame.
@THRILLHOU agreed. Or just buy it full price. Awesome game.
Zzz
Not into walking simulators and The Chinese Room's attack on CD Projekt Red (a much more accomplished studio that makes actual video games) is enough to make me not want to ever bother with a game it has something to do with. Never heard of that Deadly Tower of Monsters game. Might be worth a look but there's too many other games that take priority.
@Boerewors
You were doing well until the second paragraph.
Thank god I didn't just buy Rapture during the last sale.
I'd be pissed!
Deadly towers is an easy platinum! Yay
Sweeeet! I went through the Halloween sale looking for Costume Quest 2 to buy (loved the 1st one) and now I find out I'm gonna get it for free.
This literally just saved me some money.
Not as good as the last few months, but still not terrible. I've heard good things about The Deadly Tower of Monsters. Not really interested in EGTTR, but I might as well give it a try since it's free and all.
The Vita games aren't very good. Oh well.
shame Costume Quest 2 isn't cross play but it's a good month EGTTR is a great game the village is just so nice to walk around
Straight into the library, doubt i'll even try em.
Rapture is an excellent interactive scifi story, one I highly recommend. It reminds me of the classic Robert Heinlein and Ray Bradbury genre. Understated yet captivating. That Tower of Monsters thing I've never heard of but would have bought it anyway, it looks like great fun.
Grimms quest! Get in I was looking at buying this last night. You battle baddies with words.
One of my favourite x360 games was Quarrel which was fan bloomin tastic for any budding wordsmiths, if this is half the game its gonna be great!
meh ill put em in the libary
A few games look good to me
Damn I hate it when you buy a game and it turns up on PS+ soon after!
Rapture was on sale like 6 months ago for less than 10 bucks, so not great value there...
Not sure what I think... rapture seems interesting, but I don't know if I'll Iike it. Monsters sounds fun and crazy. Dies monsters support local co-op and how long is rapture?
*does
@PaperyWhiteBoy oh god, i know what you mean, I actually stopped playing it because it just became so tedious walking sllloooowwwly from house to house.
