There are only two games that would make me buy an xboxone if they were exclusives, Shenmue and Fallout 4. How about you guys?

MGS, GTA, Timesplitters and Red Faction.

I'd go ape**** if it was Timesplitters.
I would be tempted if it were GTA.
I would be pushed off the edge if it were MGS and i still regret not buying MGS Twin Snakes.
Red Faction? Well thats a maybe, considering the last game.

"Finish your mission, prove your loyalty." - MGS3
"We could take a s*** on you from such a height, you'd think God himself has crapped on you!" - GTA: SA

I bought it just for the exclusives. Xbox has excellent exclusives in my opinion, and I am not going to miss out on good games just because I like Playstation a bit more then other gaming consoles. I would buy any system that had Shenmue exclusive! @SimonAdebisi you have great taste in games.

What if Xbox brought back KOTOR..would anyone buy then? Knights of the Old Republic was great.. With this gen they could make a hell of an awesome game.

I've never owned an X-Box or an X-Box 360 and I don't plan to ever own a X-Box One. The biggest reason being I don't like the controllers for any of them. I seem to be in the minority but that is just how I feel.

Which exclusives look particularly good for xb1 then. When I took a look at the lineup for 2014 I wasn't particularly impressed?

Probably not. I'm never buying a Microsoft machine again after the crap I went through with the 360. I have enough games to play anyways.

I need 7 games to get a plataform and Xbox One is kinda doing well in that aspect.
Xbox One:
Dead Rising 3
Titanfall
Plant vs Zombies Garden Warfare
Project Spark

It was doing really well, but then noticed almost all this games were also coming to PC and determined that PC was a better investment xD

Um yeah that is the whole reason I would buy an Xbox One now.  I have my Wii U for Nintendo exclusives and my PS4 for Sony exclusives and third party games so if I were to get an Xbox One it would be for exclusives.

Yes I could buy third party games on an Xbox One as well but I agree with Splat on this on, I like the PS controllers more then the Xbox ones.

@Madd_Hatter401:  The closest we got to a sequel to KOTOR is that bad MMO The Old Republic.  And sadly EA now owns the Old Republic rights so it would be up to them if a proper sequel was made.

No one buy's a console for one exclusive wether it's the PS4, XboxOne or Wii U, these console's are easily going to last 5+ years. So by the time this generation is over your going to have a lot of game's, console's are investments. In my opinion if i could only afford one console it would be PlayStation every time.

I think you are very wrong. I 'WOULD' buy an xboxone just for shenmue or fallout 4.

@Banacheck - I know I bought the Wii U mainly for X, but I get what you're saying. Most people would buy other games for it as well. I think what the OP is trying to say is "How good would a game have to be before you finally decide to Buy an Xbox One?" or something of that nature.

Nope, I would quite literally buy an xboxone just to play Shenmue and or Fallout 4 and then get rid.

Oh. I can understand that as well, but it would be an uncommon choice. I know I've recommended that a certain someone on Nintendo Life buy a PS4 for that one game that will never get ported to a Wii U then sell it when he's done, but no one seemed to take into that.

I don't have a PS4 or XOne yet. The only old IP reboots that could make me buy either of them single-handedly, I think, would be Kameo, Crash or Spyro. ... And I know Spyro is in Skylanders, yes, but I can't see those as Spyro games when he's barely even a part of the story in them, and is treated the same as all other Skylanders, and the focus of the gameplay is so different from past Spyro games- I'm thinking more along the lines of a Spyro reboot in the style of the original trilogy. Similarly with Crash, I'd be interested in a new game from him it it retained the classic charm he had.

I highly doubt they would release a Crash or Spyro game as exclusives to the XOne, since they were originally popular on the PlayStation. I could see a new Crash or Spyro being multiplat, if they made them, though. Assuming it didn't come out on the Wii U, in which case I'd want the Wii U version, I'd probably buy the PS4 version over the XOne version anyway, because the PS4 is more appealing to me: it's cheaper and PlayStation franchises seem to appeal to me more than XBox franchises. But I don't see a new Spyro game happening anytime soon, considering... Y'know. Skylanders. Crash- maybe, but considering all the rumours about new Crash games that popped up within the past couple of years and led to disappointment, I'm not going to get excited about it unless we hear something official.

And as for Kameo, it was a launch title for the 360. I think a lot of people don't know about this game at all. When my dad got us a 360 that was the first game we got for it, still have it today. I love it personally, and I still think (objectively) it's a fairly good game although it's flawed in a lot of aspects too. I'd love to see a sequel because I think that Kameo had so much potential but I doubt it will ever happen. Even if it did I'd be skeptical more than anything because Rare made the original so they'd probably be the ones to make the sequel and I hear iffy things about their games nowadays.

As for an exclusive new IP? Ehh, honestly I don't know. I really can't think of anything that'd appeal to me that much. If I saw something come out on the XOne which seriously appealed to me before anything which seriously appealed to me came out on the PS4, maybe I'd buy that first. But I feel like the PS4 appeals to me more and I'd rather get that. I might get one of them when more games which interest me are out, but I already have my Wii U, 3DS, a bunch of last-gen games I haven't played and I'd like to get a Vita soon so I'm not really starved for options. I'll keep an eye on their prices, and then I'll see what's available on them, and if I feel it'd be worth it for me to get one of them. I'd like to get both eventually, though- just so I can play PS4/XOne games- so I am planning to get a XOne... But at this rate, not for years. And PS4? Wake me up when they make a Crash game for it. If they don't, then I'll just get it when I can find it for a really cheap price later or get bored of all the other game options I have...

I would and quite possibly will buy an Xbox One somewhere down the line. I love Halo. Period. So even if two or three Halo games on the X1 alone wouldn't be enough to convince me to jump in, a few additional exclusives (including some Gears of War, which I also enjoyed very much) will.

The machine has to come seriously down in price, though. My budget for gaming is quite limited, so I can't see myself paying more than € 300-350 for the machine itself, especially when there's still games to buy for my PS4. I'm a sucker for nicely done limited edition consoles, though. Got me the Halo 3 Xbox 360 and if Microsoft'd do a nice, limited X1 around the time I could afford it and with the right rooster of games to back it up, yeah, then a hand full of exclusives I want would definitely be enough to sway me. I'd still go multiplat on the PS4, though.

Yep, the only reason I'd bother to keep an Xboxone would be if it was a special edition shenmue or fallout console casing exclusive.

I had one and sold it, for gaming Xbox live has gone downhill and isn't mainly for gamers, its obv MS are targeting different consumer targets this gen I was an Xbox live subscriber for 10 years and feel massively let down by MS. I won't be going back unless they drastically redo Xbox live and even then I would keep my PS4 over Xbox. As for Titanfall...the games are 24 player, but only 12 are actually players the other 12 are bot's that ruined it for me. Also nobody mentions FF a realm reborn (mmorpg) an awesome game that is a PS4 exclusive (if titanfall is for for Xbox 1) that game is gorgeous on PS4 a real bonus for mmorpg fans. I might have been more inclined to buy an X1 if WoT was on it but in their genius MS made it for the 360 instead.....so no I doubt very much I will be buying another Xbox. I do have to point out though the comfort and ease of the X1 controller is much more comfortable in my opinion but bear in mind it doesn't have a touch pad and ONLY Xbox headsets work with them.

Maybe if the next Zelda was exclusive to Xbox...

Seriously I can't think of anything that would make me need an Xbox. A shooter isn't going to do it. Or a racing game. Or new IP probably. It would have to be something ridiculous like Final Fantasy going exclusive.
