Probably not. I'm never buying a Microsoft machine again after the crap I went through with the 360. I have enough games to play anyways.
My 360 has been a pretty solid machine, but the lackluster library and being forced to pay for multiplayer has kind of soured me on Microsoft consoles. At this point, I buy consoles for Japanese games. Unless Zero Escape 3 was released as an Xbone exclusive (which it wouldn't be). I would buy it for that, play the game, and then promptly sell it.
If it was just for an exclusive no. Maybe if the game was the greatest of all time then maybe I would consider it. Right now I have zero interest in an Xbox One.

Yeah...see, you probably never had the Red-Ring era Xboxes. Or gone through three of them like I have. Honestly, no matter what they do to fix the brand now will never change how much I've been burned by them. Now I know how Lz feels about Playstation. :/
I strongly considered getting one for it's media utility along side my PS4. I held off because I wanted to make sure there weren't any production issues like there was with the X360.
The 'problem' now is that my TV had an update so that it can do many of the same things... and none of the current Xbox One games appeal to my tastes much.
The other major issue is that it seems like devs are opting to release their games on both Xbox One and PC (at least Titanfall). Considering I have a very powerful gaming PC, there is even less reason for me to buy an Xbox One at its current pricepoint.
Their changes to Gold recently were a HUGE step forward though.
To save our Mother Earth from any alien attack
From vicious giant insects who have once again come back
We'll unleash all our forces we won't cut them any slack
The EDF deploys!!

Aye. My brother is finally getting decent games on gold, the problem is is that its not going to sell the xb1, I wonder if the fact that PS plus is so ridiculously good is reason why Japan is sticking with ps3...
I bought an Xbox One intially so that I could play Killer Instinct and Titanfall. Once I had played them to the point of not wanting to revisit them again, I sold the One and bought a PS4

I got my 360 in early 2007. Imagine my shock when my Xbox never had any kind of issues.
Also, lack of built-in wireless. Another thing I hate about early 360 models.

Plus is shit in Japan. Seriously shit. I have a Japanese account and there's f'all on there. Japan sticks with them as they're Japanese. Same reason they're sticking with Nintendo, especially handheld-wise.
"Oh smeg. What the smegging smegs he smegging done? He's smegging killed me."

I'm guessing Japan pumps out RPGs like an Uzi on speed. Ah well, at least I'm happy.
Not really. The west actually gets quite a few if not most of the not-licensed PS3 RPGs, and most of the ones we're missing aren't really being well-recieved. Plus it seems like every time I'm online, most of the free stuff over there are classics...
I opted to purchase an XB1 first as at the time it worked out a financially better deal for me. I already had a years Gold left as well as a season pass on my 360 which would also work on my XB1. I bought my console just before Titanfall came out too so that was also a motivator. I bought a bundle deal with 4 games included for less money than a PS4 with 1 game and PS+ for a year would have cost me so the reason I bought an XB1 first was financial.
I have now had the opportunity to purchase a PS4 and PS+. I have also managed to pick up the exclusives I wanted too. I certainly didn't buy either purely for an exclusive.
I owned both last generation consoles and it enabled me to get the best deals and access to any exclusive title or bonus. often you see certain games cheaper on one system and owning both allows me to get the best price.
Th only time I have been tempted to buy a console purely for a single game was the Vita and Uncharted. However I couldn't justify the outlay and as the only place I game is at home, I couldn't see myself opting to play a Vita when I have multiple consoles and games to play.
Currently I still have my XB360, PS3, XB1 and PS4 all set up although I haven't played my old gen consoles since upgrading to the latest gen.
I know I am a little late to the PS4 but it was always on my list and I would have made sure I had one in time for Uncharted 4 but it wouldn't be the only reason in the same way I wouldn't buy an XB1 just for Halo, Gears of War or any of the 3rd Party exclusives like Rise of the Tomb Raider.
A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!
Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
As much as I like Gears, Halo, and Forza, the overall general similarities in libraries between the two consoles voids any desire to purchase both a PS4 and XB1.
I can see a PS4 with the Wii U or a PC
I can see a XB1 with the Wii U or a PC
.....I don't see much if any reason for both an XB1 and a PS4.
I have really liked Uncharted, Gears of War, Killzone, Forza, Infamous, Halo, Resistance, Crackdown etc and the only way to play all these is to own both. There are also a number of 3rd party developers that offer certain exclusive deals that I can take advantage of and not get annoyed at - for example CoD's deal with Xbox or Destiny's deal with PS.
The only way to play all the best exclusives and take advantage of any 3rd party deals is to own both consoles. just because a game falls into a certain genre it doesn't mean they are alike. Gears of War is not like Uncharted yet both are 3rd person shooters. Halo and Killzone are not alike just because they are sci-fi FPS games.
2 of my most anticipated games are on different consoles - Uncharted and Rise of the Tomb Raider...

Well, I do own a 360 just so I can play Forza 4. However, by the time I bought my 360 they were dirt cheap, plus I bought the 4GB model, as that's all I need for the one game I own for the console.
But along the lines of the point made by @sub12 , I find that having both Sony and Nintendo consoles is all I need to keep my bases covered. I don't care about Halo or Gears, and the new Forza games don't interest me either. Besides those IPs essentially everything that's available on the Xbox One is also available on the PS4, so I personally see no reason to own both.
My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."
The only way that I will buy an X-Box is when Shenmue becomes an exclusive on their platform.
I have played Shenmue 1 and 2. Finished it and love the game. Still have my Dreamcast and still working.
Playing The Game... That Is Playing Me... Playing The Game...
Give me a Gears of War collection with improved graphics and 1080p/60fps and ill gladly buy one
Gears of War was one of the best series of the last gen althou the games did started to get a little worse with each game, but even with that those 3 games were so freaking good
Because even if Scalebound is what has me looking into an Xbox One, I know I would enjoy Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive. Couple that with Halo MCC and hopefully a Gears Collection like @Faruko wants and that is all I need.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

I mean, of course i would never buy a system for a game and call it a day theres a lot of games that i would love to play that are XB1 exclusive
Halo MCC, Sunset Overdrive, Forza, Scalebound, D4, Phantom Dust (if it ever comes out because the studio developing the game was shut down), Killer Instinct, etc...
