@naruball well, the console sales numbers so far tell us that not only this didn't happen but they didn't even manage to convert ps4 players to ps5.

Sony has lost all the goodwill from the players and gaming community and from now on they have an uphill battle to prove that they make good games and a good ecosystem to invest.It's very easy to hate on sony nowdays and they are to blame. They are becoming a gaming public enemy.

A London based studio could be really expensive. The same project located in Poland or Czech republic could cost the half amount of money.

Huge backlog of games i haven't played and want to buy (astrobot,aw2,warhammer etc). Zero time to revisit remasters. I made the mistake with tlou2 and i never booted the game once.

This or dead island 2? I'm itching for a zombie game.

Sony's own pc strategy made their fanbase considering other options. Comparing price points and performance gains. Do you want the best presentation of sony's first party games? PS5 pro isn't your choice..Nvidia has your back.

Sony doesn't worth easy money from now on. They just stopped delivering their promises after the ps4 era. Ps5 and ps vr2 are minimum effort products and they don't care as long as the cash flows.

I always choose performance mode cause when having a really good tv the drawbacks are minimal. So before investing in a ps5 pro do you have a great TV?

@kirkn They tried the "steam machine" some years ago and failed miserably.

I bet half the show would be sugarcoating the ps5 pro with ps4 games that run better. At this rate sony could just do nvidia and produce a new gpu line every 2-3 years. Playstation name could remain optional and peripherals like the dualsense or the ps vr.

Unfortunately ,too many bad decisions mask your good ones in most cases. Concord and ps5 pro where massive Ls for sony.

Relax, the game is trending very high in the playstation store with more than 12k ratings so far. Also it's selling really good in my small country at retail and offcourse amazon is an indicator for healthy sales. Spiderman or TLOU sale numbers won't happen though and everybody knows that.

The pro seems to be everything that sony promised with the base ps5 and never delivered.

Gaming is becoming an elite sport. Last stage of greedy capitalism. Fewer players but bigger spenders.

Showcasing the same old games to sell new hardware again? No thanks, my fat ps5 with the launch price was a decent value.

@WanderWhere Don't go there. Sometimes a game is just what people need in a specific timeframe and that's enough.

Digital foundry was stunned by the technical achievement of astrobot, so it beg's questions about the purpose of a ps5 pro.

Is cross-play enabled?

It's insane that they cancelled factions 2 when the original game in it's archaic form still has an active player base. I might re-install it cause in all seriousness i need some good multiplayer fun.

@TrickyDicky99 Amen. Their PC strategy watered down the brand for short term profits. Instead of taking care of their loyal fanbase they micromanaged a toxic PC elitist group of people that you can't make happy no matter what.

@UnlimitedSevens We really don't know about astrobot sales. The hype is there but people sometimes don't open their wallets to good things.

I'm dreaming of a world that people will also do this with other products as well and vote with their money or protest in any possible way. Food and energy price inflation,monopolistic and mob controlled markets etc.

Maybe unrelated to ps5 pro but after some serious software and hardware flops (psvr2) there is not a lot of goodwill left to sell the damn thing.

@djlard Gameplay is king and concord isn't bad in that department. Gunplay is more than solid.

If the game was a f2p ps5 exclusive it would fare 1000x times better. Also free battle passes for ps+ subscibers and you are golden.

Instead of increasing prices i would recommend reaching more people and making gaming what it used to be with more polished games and less scam tactics to extract more money.

New hardware just to gain some fps for completely unoptimised games. No thank you i respect my hard earned money. I might skip ps6 as well.

I bought Howgards for my girlfriend. RDR2 still at 30fps is a no go for me.

I miss the ps4 multiplayer days. Titanfall 2, bf1,bf4, better CODs. Now we are in a generation of pink costumes and male make-up.

Funny thing there is also a physical copy. You will soon be able to get it for a tenner and maybe the game lives with the bare minimum gas in the engine.

DL1 was a phenomenal game. I'll sometime buy 2 as well with all the expansions.

Fantastic game with fantastic soundtrack. There is a spotify playlist if anyone's interested.

I wonder if the ps4 does a decent job with remote play. I will need to use this feature in my new home and i have a spare ps4 but with no controllers.

My time is so limited and my backlog is so huge that i might wait for a ps7.

Concord is gamepass material.

It's mindblowing that Factions 2.0 was cancelled. Maybe it was too serious for today's standards. Grim and dark. Don't forget that all these liveservice games are milking mostly underaged players.

A new killzone would be the holy grail for online shooters but..

@REALAIS Nah 40fps is my bare minimum to play a game so i might try it now.

Very nice, ps5 was more than capable of doing something more with this game. It's maybe a hint that ps5 pro won't see the light.

@Mustoe Guitar is still a real skill though. Being good at video games not so..
