@Decimateh-xblz still remember pulling an all-nighter with my mate at his house playing Parasite Eve 2. We absolutely adored RE series and PE2 was amazing. Back then, RE formula felt like the best way to experience games.

As a side note, my PS1 story is quite different from most of the comments here. Where I live, PS3 was the first console officially launched. But that did not stopped us from getting PS1 and PS2. Although my world was definitely very very different.

Showing 100% off, here in India too. Added it, though not big on racing games.

Total surprise! I got notification from WhatsApp PlayStation community a minute ago, and for a moment I thought I missed some news article mentioning this as part of PS Extra. To double check, opened PushSquare and found this article.

Almost bought Spiderman remastered in last sale. That, with RE2 and Nemesis, makes up for a great month for me!

"A trip down memory lane..." is no small reason. For some people, this can be gold. Can't wait to boot these tonight after work.

I have been waiting for RE2 and RE3 for sake of nostalgia. My PS1 era game collection was limited and RE games stand out for introducing me to a whole new genre (SH1 upped the ante considerably though). Coming from Sega Genesis it was a huge leap both cinematically and in narrative storytelling. RE2 music still transports me to a different era. 🙂

Last time I heard Clive barker’s name with a single player game was during Undying and it was a mighty good game! Fingers crossed 🤞 for this one.

If only we had few more fellow Indians on PushSquare, the comment section would have exploded! I am not a Bollywood fan but good for Vidyut. While not a gaming crazy nation, many Indians who grew up in the 90s like me, Street Fighter would definitely ring a bell. I remember long hours with neighborhood kids slugging it out in PvP during summer vacations. And having a local lad in live action Street Fighter sounds as crazy as using yoga for combat!

Never downloaded the trial. Says, 'Not available for purchase'. And changing the version does not works - at least in the app. Hopefully, as someone mentioned in another thread, it might work if redeemed via PS5. Will try later this evening.

@Lotan52 That’s a relief! I was not able to add Diablo via app and thought something was wrong with my account. Then I saw messages of other members here and it appeared widespread issue. I am still at work, and hopefully will be able to claim it via PS5 once back home.

I could hardly care less. Reason? It wasn’t available in my region to begin with. Can’t lose what I don’t have.

@OldGamer999 maybe budget-minded gamers are a minority. Maybe those who voice their opinions are also a minority. 🙂

@GirlVersusGame I guess, instead of raising prices, big corporations should offer discounted prices in countries where’s people face other financial challenges (with long term benefits in mind). Here in India, where average income is even lower, a lot of companies have India specific monthly subscription plans. For example Apple subscriptions are really cheap in comparison to first world countries. Btw, I paid approx US$58 equivalent for my PS Plus Deluxe this year.

In Reddit prediction thread Robocop was the most mentioned game. It felt like it was almost inevitable. That’s why I didn’t picked it up in the sale few weeks ago. Wanted to try it but only if or when it arrived on plus. A guy there also predicted Texas chainsaw.

@trev666 I might be be one of the people you just described. While I do not actively hate it, the limited time I spent with it didn’t gave me that Fallout kick I was craving for after Fallout 4. I have sunk countless hours in Elder Scrolls Online (playing solo) and it felt just the thing to scratch my elder scrolls itch. Maybe it set my expectations with Fallout 76 differently. I do hope I can dive in sometime in future and realise how wrong I was.

@AK4tywill words to live by. Although mind being what it is, wanders around. I let my PS Plus sub expire for a month and truly had wonderful time with limited catalogue I was left with. I guess human mind is not made to handle so many choices.

I loved all the past DA games, and Veilguard was always on my list. I was holding on to my PS Wallet balance for DA:V to go on sale, and this month turned out to be pretty big surprise. Totally unexpected, if I may. It has only raised the expectations for PS Premium offerings coming up later this month!

I wish there was a PS Plus Premium trial for DA (I know there’s one if you have EA Play). I recently finished DD2 and don’t want to start a new game just for the weekend. Can’t wait to sink my teeth into DA:V and a trial would have been proper head start. Character creator is more like a teaser.

@EfYI Well the official word is, it's something to do with regulatory compliance regarding WiFi 7 module in PS5 Pro. Not sure how long before we can get a hand on it, but it's frustrating.

I have fond memories of playing Gex on ps1. Will look forward to these being added to PS Plus Premium one day

And guys, don’t forget it’s Essential lineup. So these games aren’t leaving PS Plus unless you do. If anything, I would have expected DA to be part of Extra. This is super month!

I resubscribed PS Plus this month after much thinking. And now I think it was totally worth it since I was pretty sure I was going to buy Veilguard next from the store. Never expected this with all the general emotions that PS Plus was going downhill every month.

I see the offer too, here in India. Allowed my sub to expire in December and so far haven't regretted it. But in two minds right now since Sony offers discounted PS Plus only once or twice a year.

@Lukedfrt that was at launch. Later, IIRC there was a 12GB version. That’s the one I got. Thankfully not all games required installing on HDD. MGS4 ate good 4GB of it.

@__jamiie oh, never owned a GameCube. But would have loved to own one back in the day.

I remember when RE Series was exclusive to Nintendo GameCube for a time period and console fanboys were still a thing. RE4 Original came out with great reviews.

Sometime later it came to PS2 once exclusivity ended. And it got even better reviews. Having played RE2 and RE3 in 90s this was a revolutionary step for the series. But for some reason I wasn’t able to finish it back then. Finally, I got the opportunity in 2024. As good as I remembered it to be! No surprises it sold so well.

Won't get long holidays, but 1 or 2 days off between Xmas and New Year. Will continue my play through of Hogwarts Legacy, unless I end up snagging Alan Wake 2 or SH2 from current sale. Merry Christmas fellow gamers!

So it looks like they’re not going to put PS Plus on year end sale. My sub expires on 23rd and I don’t see myself renewing it.

Downloading Forspoken right now. I wonder if some of the critic complaints were addressed in patches. Demo was too bland for me.

Haven’t tried a sonic game since Sega Genesis. Will also try Sly games.

Really liked the first one. Quite hyped for the second part!

I missed both Jak and Sly games when I had PS2. Some games were not easy to get a hand on where I lived, and I also owned original Xbox at the same time so I had too many things to play. I remember these games got raving reviews. Now so many years down the line, I wonder if they can evoke same feelings inside me as original players had in 2000s. But I definitely want to try.

@Fritz167 Hadn’t heard of FIST before today. But after reading PS review, it feels like a solid game. Perhaps it is potentially best offering of the month. Can’t wait to try out 🤞

@Enuo the demo didn’t do anything for me. But I will still give it a good honest try. I hope the seemingly featureless open world in the demo was just a small part of much bigger whole.

@KundaliniRising333 I also don’t feel too excited about Astrobot for the same reasons. It might be a piece of art, but currently not on my wish list.
