What a beautiful piece of news! Thank you everyone at Gearbox. Gaming is much more than just entertainment. It is art. It touches lives in more ways than one.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner This. It feels like every other article is about Pro reinventing something. I feel less and less inclined to check site updates. I hope normalcy returns soon.
It hasnāt been released in my country, so I canāt even consider buying it, even if I had the money. But happy gaming to anyone who is getting one. I wish I could afford one soon.
@PCPS4XB Right. Unfortunately, it cost me approx US$650 where I live. The Disc edition. And had to wait until 2022, since it was perpetually out of stock.
I bought original Xbox before PS2, after a long stint with PS1. Halo 1 was one heck of an experience and quite a jump from games I was used to playing on PS1. Reviews were unanimously overwhelmingly positive and there were webpages dedicated to its lore. I also played Halo 2 and Gears of War 1 on Xbox. Loved them! Then I moved to PS3 and future playstations. I definitely miss Halo and Gears of War franchise. They also remind me of a time when I had a lot more spare time for gaming. Would love to experience both games from the time I left them (even if just remasters). I hope all these speculations turn out true.
I remember playing the first Silent Hill on PS1 and the sequel on PC. Two of the most cherished memories from my younger years of gaming. Unfortunately, with time I have found it increasingly harder to finish horror games, despite being one of my favourite genre.
Hogwart's Legacy PS5 version cost me less than 16 USD/ 12GBP where I live, so it was a no brainer for me š Been a while since I bought something from PSN store sale.
@Elodin Never played a strategic rpg before. What advice would you give to a new initiate so that I do not get overwhelmed. I seriously wish to find out why so many people love them.
Surprised to see FF VII Rebirth on top (so far) by a long margin. Interestingly, I ordered it today afternoon, before I saw this poll. I was double minded if I should order it, but now I am really looking forward to it!
Unfortunately, Atari consoles never launched where I live. In fact, there was no official launch until Xbox360. Saw Atari at friendās house when some relative from abroad returned with gifts. That means, despite my sincerest desire, these games do not hold any nostalgic value for me.
I remember playing a PS1 version which had isometric perspective. Never finished it, but have faded memories. The one I played after that was on PS2 which started with some sort of time travel trope during WW2.
@get2sammyb If going by the comments in this article, a part of gaming population love the difficulty-reward curve, it does not means increasing the difficulty will keep increasing the fun factor proportionally. There must be some tipping point where the returns fall off.
I personally find souls find souls games too hard to play but I totally understand people who love it for their difficulty. Although I feel itās unfair to claim higher difficulty as some sort of badge of honour. People who are unable to enjoy harder games are not necessarily āweakā players. And accessibility has wide range of meaning including those who simply do not possess the kind of muscle memory needed to master these games.
That being said I donāt really complain about not being able to enjoy souls like.
@Ssimsim that inverted right stick was bugging me bad. There was no option to fix it in the settings. I will try to remap it too. Thanks. I agree, rewind feature especially make old school platformers so much fun.
@get2sammyb I wonder where PS Plus Deluxe subscribers like me fit in? Part of Premium or just an insignificant minority to push any numbers in the stat.
@AK4tywill PS Plus Essential is an anomaly in Sony's offerings; a vestige of a totally different type of PS Plus. I think even their PS5 UI designers struggle to consistently fit Essential with PS Plus catalogue. But I do wish they somehow find a system to differentiate games added to library through Essential service versus the ones from PS Plus Catalogue.
Waiting eagerly for this! It will be a huge nostalgia trip down the memory lane. Had tons of fun playing with friends and younger brother back in the day. Finally something in Deluxe/ Premium I can look forward to š
I remember playing TR3 way back. It features an extensive section set in India (the country where I live). My friends and I were quite intrigued. It had some religious symbology including a boss which closely resembles venerated divinity (the featured image for this article). But the extremest emotion I can recall was being bemused. š
This game gives me a rush of nostalgia. Spent hours into it more than 2 decades ago. It was notoriously difficult for me at that time and there was one area where I was perpetually stuck. Never made it to the end.
And yet when it made it to PS Premium this month, couldn't stop myself playing it again. Rewind feature made life a thousand times easier. The platforming is as difficult as I remember it to be.
@Sanquine It will be 3:30AM where I live š so totally out of luck. Probably, will check PushSquare in the morning will all the highlights organised into separate articles.
Was planning to get Sniper Elite 5 sooner rather than later. Would definitely be downloading it as soon as it becomes available. Meanwhile, will try to beat Stray before it vanishes.
What a bummer! And there's virtually no information about what kind of improvement we're going to see in the next iteration. Big Ant Studio website does not even appears to have an official page for the game. I was thinking maybe once the game is released in June, would get to see some actual gameplay and make up my mind. I even got rid of my copy of Cricket 22 in anticipation of 24's June release.
Cricket 22 was a decent one. But the game is so far behind other big budget sports titles, I doubt incremental updates will do much good here. Commentary is horrendous and fielding animations leave a lot to be desired. But since thereās hardly any alternative out there for cricket fans, itās more of a hobsonās choice. Bring it on!

Re: PS5 Pro was a '5-Year Project', In Development Before PS5's Launch
Does it not means that they had to consciously make sure PS5 is reasonably less powerful to keep Pro relevant?
