Yep as others have said combat need serious work....and also the main storyline...some of the side quests were outstanding but the main story felt like one long drawn out fetch quest. BG3 storyline was amazing, so many potential arcs and outcomes, one little decision could change the story.

A lot of the suggestions others have made would be mint, but would love to also see a state of decay 3 ps5 announcement - with a shadow drop of SoD2

@Bramble i have completionist issues lol....and i brought it close to release so paid a pretty penny for it, so even though it was a grind felt like i needed to get my moneys worth!

@Hapless have to agree with u there, i played valhalla and it started off interesting but just dragged on way too long and very segmented story so eventually lost interest in the plot, struggled through and platted it but was just way too much filler content and just boring. Will never play another AC, which is a shame as really enjoyed the first few of them....

i remember years ago there was an analysis done on this guys trophy count....at the time they worked out he had to have been playing over 20 hours a day or something ridiculous like that for the games he had platinumed over a period.....pretty obvious that he was account sharing and had multiple people getting trophies for him as no way that can be done over an extended period

Been wanting this for ages and so very unexpected, just finished platting war mongrels yesterday so was looking for a new game, downloading right now! Can't wait

@PegasusActual93 altered carbon s1 was great, really enjoyed it....s2 was very meh, should have kept joel k on, just couldnt get into s2 and only ended up watching half of it, such a shame!

on a side note, just bought this as well, downloading as we speak

I've always thought they should run a Kickstarter to fund part 2, loved days gone and I reckon they would get more than enough to make a fully fledged sequel

If the game is any good then shouldn't matter what genre it's in! Game I'm looking forward to most on my wishlist is frostpunk 2, loved fp1, can't wait for this

@Ergoshotz well it sure has been a great long term strategy from MS! Basically running the Xbox division into the ground, but who cares about those gamers right, because they can just go play on their phone....lol

I always thought it was more of a knee-jerk reaction as PS was pumping out top quality exclusives while Xbox's hits were few and far between. And the games that were kept off PS by said deals were not world beaters so no reason for anyone to jump ship as there were still better options and more to look forward to on the PS. It was always going to fail, was just a matter of how long!

@gymratAmarillo na was being straight up with my comment, i was replying to beetlebum who said he prefers achievements over trophies....so hence i said nothing beats the platinum trophy! ive got 180 plats, used to play xbox back in x360 days and achievements TBH are boring, doesn't tell you at a glance how many games youve crushed!

@Beetlebum91 nothing beats a shiny platinum unlocking when you get all the trophies!

not really interested in the mainstream games like starfield, forza etc.....but theres a few indies / lesser known games on xbox i would love to play, like monster train, state of decay series, valheim to name a couple.

Breezed through tactician with L12 open hand monk, L12 Life cleric, L5 gloom stalker ranger / L4 thief / L3 champion fighter, and L6 berserker/ L3 thief / L3 champion. Put in around 350 hours so far, so might have a wee break before honour mode!

@Dragoon1994 yeah but its ridiculous that people could've potentially missed out on playing probably one of the games of the generation for this reason...i guess lucky for you lot it is releasing physically.....

and my advice to you is make room on your HD and play this before you play any other game, ive been playing nonstop since release, 500+ hours in and still finding new stuff, you guys are in for a treat

im in the same boat, kids, work, home life etc....so the little time ii do get to game, i make sure i play great games that are worth the precious time....

so i reckon you really should give it a go, dont think youll be disappointed!!!

played and platted cricket 22 but same old story, once you find out the 'tricks' when batting it gets boring real fast and doesnt sound like too much has changed here....probably played too much mlb as batting in that is incredible

trick for a dev would be to incorporate mlb batting into cricket somehow

i find it bizarre how many people refuse to buy a digital copy - you are missing out on one of the best games of the generation....even one of the best games ever....

i bought digital deluxe version and yes would buy physical again, would sit on the shelf nicely alongside BG1&2

@MaikonCSGarcia not necessarily talking about how many people worked on a project, sometimes u have to think outside the box, talking about history, expectations, money available etc.....

not bothered tbh...looking forward to DOS3 or whatever Larians next outing is way more than ES6 or anything from bethesda....amazing how a small dev can output stuff so much better than old moneybags microsoft/bethesda

BG3 is gonna blow starfield and every other RPG out of the water.....if you haven't played DOS 1 & 2 yet, have a go at those - will give you a taste of what BG3 will be like - only with the added lore from forgotten realms....can not wait!!!

Tbh this is a pretty disappointing article from pushsquare....its been out a month ffs, there's enough games on there I want to play to keep me going for the rest of this year in which time I'm sure there will be more games....stop with all these doom and gloom articles!!!!!!

@Mega-Gazz sounds like you've not actually used it! It takes games to another level, everytime i load up one of the games im still dumbfounded at how amazing it looks, and grabbing a zombies head and plunging a knife into it vs pressing x to attack? Come on

have been loving my time on it, skipped psvr as didnt feel the tech was upto it, but loving psvr2, been blown away by some of the experiences. ive only had 1 problem - and that is i let my 13 year old son have a go....now anytime im on it i get pestered, "dad whens it my turn", over and over lol

would hate to be an xbox player right now, this is the game ive been waiting for, DOS1&2 were masterpieces so been patiently waiting for the console release date, cant wait

Bugger! couple of games in there I'd love to play but with psvr2 arriving tomorrow not sure how I will find time to!

@Sakai but there's people like me who waited for a high quality set and didn't go near vr1, but are all in on vr2.....can't wait!

had preordered it first time round, but now releasing too close to psvr2, wont have time to put into it

@brazzios_84 im with you, i dont know why people rave so much about this game, controls and combat are awful and the main story is a borefest...couple of decent side quests but otherwise its a pretty average game!

@RobynAlecksys i wouldnt rate it as 2nd worst game of last gen, but i do agree that it isnt as great as people make it out to be. some good side quests but other than that nothing we havent seen before, and yeah the combat, controls and main quest were all pretty meh, severely overrated imo

dont think id bother playing through this again, the combat was average at best and sounds like it hasnt changed.....and while some of the side quests were really really good, the main quest was a complete bore fest....played out like a long overdrawn fetch quest

got an email from local retailer this arvo and bagged a horizon bundle, cant wait.

just announced no mans sky update on launch day too whoop whoop, been wanting to play that for quite some time so finally time to crack into it

the amount of people on here complaining about the price and how it might be priced out of their league etc.....do you lot not know how to save!!!! stick $50 or whatever you can in another account each pay for the next 4 months or so, by the time it rolls around youll have a nice little pot sitting there....stop complaining and start doing something about it!!!

refuse to play fifa again until they get rid of its pay to win mechanic in FUT (aka gambling)

missing a few games i enjoyed, went back through my trophy list:
pathfinder: kingmaker, green hell, commandos 2, bards tale 4, hunter call of the wild

otherwise, slay the spire for me was a real gem (even bought it two more times, on mobile and pc!)
and days gone, both divinity games were the other 10's for me

@TheArt first thing i noticed was the music being so loud i could barely hear any of the opening speech so no idea whats going on and no way to go into options to turn subtitles on until after the cutscene finished....then the frame rate being woeful (playing on PS5 as well....) graphics being very average and then the cover system was absolutely horrible....sorry but couldnt play through that no matter how good the story might be...20 minutes wasted on that was more than enough

shame as i thought mafia 1 was really really good, thoroughly enjoyed it

loved mafia 1 remake, was really well done....then fired up mafia 2 remake and OMG....what a steaming pile of.....!!!!

played it for 10 mins before deleting, surprised at a few of the comments here saying mafia 2 is so good, maybe when originally released as the remake is awful

got the plat a couple of weeks ago and ranks in the top couple of games this year for sure - although my top spot for fav game i played this year is slay the spire, had such a blast with that

just platinumed mafia 1 and loved it so naturally progressed onto mafia 2....and just wow.....

what a steaming pile of rubbish.....played for 10 minutes before deleting, cover mechanic is awful now, aiming is awful, graphics and character models are so bad, frame rate choppiness

everything has gone backwards from mafia 1....what the heck happened? did they spend too much time on part 1 so just bundled 2 out the door? not even going to try part 3 after this mess

hopefully they fix the player progression as in fifa 22 it was ridiculous, you could max out your stats within 1-2 years - so no point playing past age 18

im having fun with it, reading through these comments quite a few have said features like meowing do nothing and have just been thrown in for fun......early on meowing shows you the direction to go (via the lights) and in stealth sequences you can use it to shift attention of sentinels

be interested to see if this catches all the cheaters, stopped playing warzone because of cheaters, got so bad just gave up in the end
